@emmaaa I'm glad your dog is okay! DH would have flipped out, but usually in the calmer ones when it comes to the dogs. I think I'm just immune to their stupid behavior now. Mine got skunked last week and then proceeded to roll in skunk poop yesterday all on DH's watch. He thought he could just put conditioner on the dog and it would make the smell go away. *head desk*
@AllyTheKid I would be down with MFP! I used it awhile ago to help me lose weight and I planned on getting back in the habit after Bean comes.
Anyone else do the "only_______ more minutes before I can eat lunch" at work thing? I feel like I basically live my life in a constant cycle of when the next meal is coming.
Not even because I'm starving or anything, just... I like lunch, what can I say?
Every. Day. I always seem to look at like 10:30ish and around 11:15 - and I'm always super sad there's still so much time til Noon!
Sorry all but I need to rant about Babies R Us for a minute! We went yesterday to buy everything we need off of our registry that we didn't get at our showers, a large amount of items. I read online that instead of waiting for the 6 weeks pre-EDD to get the completion coupon if you ask them in store they will let you use it early. So we go and first she tells me she can't do the completion coupon. Finally she goes in the back and comes out and says she can, but it's only good for today and anything that's not in store she will have to order for us (we can't do it online ourselves). Totally fine. Well we spend WAY too long trying to find all of the items. If the items don't match the registry item exactly (size, color, etc), the coupon won't work, so it takes us forever to find what we need because none of the names, item #s or signs match. They end up only having maybe 7 items in store, so we go back to the lady to have her order the rest. Takes forever but she finally puts in the order. There are issues with using more than 4 gift cards online so she has to combine them all to 1, and then it won't let us use any visa gift cards. Long story short, she finally does the order. We check out and leave, only for me to look at the confirmation paper on our way home that she misspelled our street address (by one letter but it turns our street into a different street).
So as soon as we get home I go online and chat with a rep. Of course it's impossible for them to change the one letter on the address and tell me that my only option is to cancel the order. But it takes 48 hours for them to put the money back on the gift card so I can't place the new order for a few days. On top of this, we would lose our 10% completion coupon and 10% off for signing up for a credit card because they're only both good for the one day. She gives me a code and says it will work when I place my order so I can get the 20% off. Well of course today I try it and the code doesn't work. Also, I never got a confirmation canceling the original order so I go back online and talk to a rep who says it takes 1-3 days to process the cancelation. I'm so fed up, so I call and speak to a manager. They confirm I have to wait 1-3 days for the order to be canceled and then another 48 hours after that for the money to go back on the gift card just so I can place the order again! She insists that when we place the order if we call or go in store they will give us our 20% off but at this point I think we deserve more! Seriously so absurd, I wish we could just get everything elsewhere.
Ugh @LGW2015 - how incredibly frustrating! I think I would probably have been in tears halfway through that. I hope it all works out & you get all your stuff AND a good discount.
@LGW2015 Hopefully they'll give you more if you keep asking. That's what I did with my PBK delivery issues and I finally got a $70 gift card out of them which helped us buy the crib mattress. Good luck!

@emmaaa... OMG, so glad your pup is okay! I'm a vet's dream. I'd have been there, at the emergency vet in an instant lol... you're clearly much smarter about this than I am
@LGW2015 Ugh, that sucks! You have more patience than I do! Hopefully that'll pay off and you'll still get your discount, and a better one than 20% for them being so unprofessional.
@LGW2015 what a pain in the butt! That makes me ragey! Seriously that's hair-pullingly frustrating, because this shouldn't be this difficult.
Ladies, lately it's been feeling like this baby is shaking me from the inside. Like he's literally kicking me hard and I have temporary bumps and protrusions in my belly because of how hard/crazily he's kicking and moving in there. Anyone else?
@annabenanna I feel your pain. Three different sore spots on my abdomen and my hubby thinks it's hilarious when this little girl get rowdy and he can actually watch my whole belly moving.
@AllyTheKid & @MRSCORKER - We've decided (yes, we were talking about you two on the FB group; see, you're missing things!) that you both need to make super private FB profiles to use exclusively on the FB group. We neeeeeed you!!
@annabenanna My OB informed us 2 months ago we should go ahead and get our 4 year old son started in self defense classes. Says he's going to have his work cut out for him. Lol!
@CopperBoom86 I was literally just about to post something on the FB Group thread that you guys may end up getting a request from a brand new totally fishy looking FB profile... and that it would likely be me. I've been sitting here thinking "This is it. These girls are going to be the ones that get me back on Facebook."

*****STUCK in the BOX*****
@ibabyloveb87, @MRSCORKER, @AllyTheKid, please please please go on FB and make private profiles so you're there on the group?!?!?!? It's not the same!!!
I am a dog person, animal lover, I've rescued like 10 dogs and 2 cats (never had one but can let them hurt in street), but I just need to say that...
I hate my MIL dog!! So much, I don't care if she loves him so much, that dog won't be near my baby when he is born. And is not the dog's fault, they have him pretty spoiled in the wrong way (mine is spoiled and thinks he is a baby).
This poodle has bitten every single member of my DH family, just because he is grumpy... Last time I was really upset cause I was sitting in the couch rubbing my belly and he wanted to be over me, my MIL tried to keep him off me, and he bit her... and I got really scared, I mean if he bites her how can my baby be near him.
I hope she gets my point, she'll have to decide the dog or my baby, but not the 2 of them at the same room!! end of discussion!

@mayisch We have (and have been having) the same problem with DH grandfather's dog. He's always, ahem, dominating and of the kids that are over and when you pull him off, he tries to take your hand off.
@ibabyloveb87 - I was wondering where you were! I figured you were going to join eventually because I didn't remember you being against it or not having a FB. Come on, girl! We need you, too!
I work post partum as a nurse and the other day the nurses from labor and delivery did a quick scan on me just for fun.. I learned two things from this.. baby is head down and baby is extremely chubby... they kept commenting on her cheeks and asking if I was sure about my dates.. I've thought she feels big for the last few weeks but now am getting nervous about having another huge baby! Yea, I've done it once, but every baby and every birth is different, so I'm getting worked up! Probably for nothing, but worked up nonetheless.
On the topic of snakes I would likely not even be alive cause I'm so petrified of them. I would rather take my chances with a grizzly bear than a snake. Either though scare me, snakes just way more and even more so cause they can kill you with one bite.

I've thought about re-activating just to join this FB group but I'm seriously loving not being on FB right now. People are leaving me alone and I don't have to see any posts about politics. I'm blissfully ignorant and I don't know if I'm ready to go back down that rabbit hole! I don't want to miss anything though! lol

@ignoscemihi I just looked, mine is already available!! Perhaps that should go in the "Sh!t just got real" thread!
@emmaaa Poor pup! More FX for a quick recovery for him! I'm also a calm in the moment, freak out later kind of person. I'm somehow able to put emotions in a jar to the side to deal with what's at hand, and then later have a breakdown lol.
I used Spark People prior to BFP, but @MRSCORKER I'd be all for a FitBit group!
@MorganL925 I can empathize with your food frustration. Today I went to Taco Bell and ordered a Grilled Stuf't Burrito meal. As I start to eat (after I left the parking lot of course) I realize it's a regular burrito supreme. I check my reciept, and I was charged for two tacos, so I really ended up saving like $4 and still getting a pretty decent meal, although I really wanted the stuffed one. The sauce stuff they use in it is delicious and my supreme burrito was seriously lacking...
My random is that I can't get enough salt and vinegar chips these last few days! It's a serious problem.

And FTR, I hate snakes. Like, I will see one on TV and have nightmares about them. We didn't see the snake though because he was in the woods when it happened.
@Kaytee1087 I usually love salt and vinegar chips, but I haven't been able to stand them since getting pregnant. They sound so good, but I can only eat one or two and I'm done.
@kaytee1087 haha it's okay. I can still usually find them it just takes some hunting and sometimes I don't feel like going to multiple different grocery stores.
Supposedly Amazon does deliver to Tanzania? But the chances of actually receiving it would probably be slim to none.
I have to vent that now I am all freaked out about kick counts. I haven't been instructed to do them but I don't think I get 10 every 2 hours. He is mostly active when I'm not running around the hospital all day and when I lay down.

Maybe your doctor will instruct you differently, but typically you don't have to count every movement. I do counts just once a day (around the same time, but usually whenever I get a chance to lay down on the couch at night). I wait until I feel the first kick, start the clock, and note the time when I've counted 10 movements. I've had it take anywhere from 2 minutes to 30 minutes. I also try to make a mental note if I've been feeling her move throughout the day but I don't count or record.
@Sprinkels28 The thing I hate about kick counts is that it creates so much potential for panic. I think the important thing is that you're feeling your baby move regularly. I never feel baby until I sit down and rest. So I might go all day with nothing, but feel a lot of movement in the evening and night. If I'm concerned, I drink some coffee, eat something, and now I've learned to turn up the music. He'll usally wake up to these things and it puts my mind at ease. My doctor has not instructed me to do them and I don't plan to do them regularly. I do what I know wakes him when I'm concerned, and I call L&D if that doesn't work. But some people do them religiously.

If you're "running around the hospital all day," I'm sure he's active some during that time, but you're probably too busy to notice. I wouldn't worry about it!
I asked my doctor about kick counts at my last appointment (29w3d) and she said as long as I feel her move a few times throughout the day, everything should be fine and not to worry about counting kicks.
Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful I feel little man kick so often and know he's an active, healthy baby, but at this point I'd be willing to trade you guys... he just does. Not. Stop. Moving. It's downright painful sometimes, and he insists on practicing his back hand springs the moment I lay down in bed! I seldom go an hour without him being a nut case at some point.
@allythekid I told my husband that it feels like I'm being scraped and pinched from the inside. And now when he's staying still, it still hurts because he's pushing my stomach out with his little butt.
@AllyTheKid - I feel you. Sometimes I feel like she's literally trying to burst out of my belly. When I lay on my either one of my sides, she goes nuts.
I've read articles that say babies in utero sleep 90-95% of the day. I call BS.
