RE: To Do List - I think I just scarred my husband. Taking others suggestions I created our to do list. I broke it down into things we have to have done by certain dates - ending September 1st because really we need to be prepared and I don't think I'll have any desire/energy after that to do anything but cook baby. It came to two pages long on a word document. I sent the list to DH at work. Quietly wondering if he fell out of chair at work upon seeing, quickly grabbed a secretly stashed bottle of Jack Daniels, or is already running for Canada and peacing out.
@LakeR2014 - I have sent my husband SO many to-do lists over the years and always end the emails with "thoughts?" wait a few hours, and can predict the response to be "Yep" or "Sounds good"... as if that does justice to my 30 line to-do list.
@blondie080300 Another great "list" app is Workflowy. Also mobile and desktop and can be share amongst users. DH and I use it the same as how @RG1 described and it's been a lifesaver. If one of us stops at the store randomly, we have our full shopping list at our fingertips. When my nesting kicks in like crazy and I add a million things to the list, DH can immediately see it and help me out (either by crossing tasks off the list or by talking me down from some of the less necessary ones).
Just another thing to add - you've got this, girl! And anyone else who's stressed about what needs to be done before baby comes. I was the same before DD was born - a million things to do and no time/energy. I tell you what - the things that weren't done before she arrived seemed so trivial after her birth than they did before. Some were still "important" and were still on my radar to complete but bringing that little life into the world changed my perspective in an instant. Your list of unaccomplished tasks will the furthest from your mind in those first days/weeks - as long as you have the basics (carseat, hospital bag, a place for baby to sleep), you'll be in great shape!
I woke up feeling kinda bad for dumping my crap and my giant 'to do' list on you all last night. But you have all been so reassuring and supportive! I love this board! Thanks again!!

My random for the day is that I'm really proud of myself for keeping up with this thread this month! Also, is it bad I can't wait for more people to reach 37 weeks so I can get excited when someone says they lost their mucus plug instead of worried?? Haha. Super excited for birth stories and full term babies.

@csukkha Congratulations!!! Look at that sweetie! What a little snuggle bug! High Fives to your awesome self, mama.
Long weekend with DH means hopefully getting some stuff done, but unfortunately much of that stuff is outside oriented (cleaning out garage, cleaning out car and installing car seats, mowing/weeding lawn) and with 100+ degree temps it's going to be a challenge. Bring on the lemonade!
This is going to sound bad, but I don't know how DH or the kids would ever get anywhere, let alone get anywhere on time, if I wasn't around. It's like they think that there's infinite amounts of time before they have to be some place and everything that needs to be done before hand will magically take care of itself. Arrrggg!!! So annoying!! The kids are going to be in for a seriously rude awakening when school starts in a couple of weeks. Especially when it gets to the point where I can't watch every little thing they do to ensure it's getting done because I'll have to be getting two infants ready for daycare as well. Aaaannnnddd I just gave myself a headache thinking about that.
WTF! I washed and dried all of baby's outfits on the delicate cycle last night. I did not overdry them. They shrunk!!! Like a lot!! Carter's and Gerbers! My friend said that Carter's definitely shrinks, but Gerbers should still fit. Ughhhhhhhh

I'm a FTM so I am only speaking from looking at them, but I foung the Gerbers stuff runs kind of small, even before washing them. I found their 0-3 months onesies are the same size as NB size for other brands! Sorry your clothes shrunk, though... for mine, I set them to tumble dry in low and took them out when they were just dry, not even warm. But this is probably the same thing your delicates cycle does

I thought that last time. Everything is pretty stretchy and should still fit.
I hope they still fit! Might be a struggle getting them over baby's big head, but I will definitely be trying to make it work! I couldn't believe how tiny they got!
Do I always have to run them on delicate cycle? Or can I just start doing normal cycle now that they've shrunk?Hmm...I guess I'll wait til baby's here to make that call.
Went to sleep, woke up, checked the clock hoping it was close to at least 4, NOPE 1am. SERIOUSLY! I was wide awake. I remember a time when I would wake up at 1am and think YES! still have 6 hours of sleep left and now I just feel like I want to get it over with!!!

I was going to complain about how crampy and bitchy I was feeling all this morning and then I saw baby Issac and I got all the good feels. Congrats @csukkha he's amazing!
@Sbrown721 - yes, gerber runs very narrow in my experience, but we pretty much only used onesies from them and liked them to be super tight since they were usually under other clothes. I never did gentle cycles, just dried clothes per usual and shrinkage was never a big deal... Not saying things didn't shrink, but they were so stretchy and the envelope necklines allowed for the noggin to go right through!
I installed our car seat in one of our cars last night, just have to put in another base in the other car and get it all checked to make sure it's properly instslled. It's so strange seeing it in the car, though!
Also, I already mentioned this in my ticker change, but I went up 7lbs in a week. Like, whaaaat? Is that even possible? I'd been keeping my gain in check and have not been indulging in the good stuff at all since I have GD but I have seen a difference in my numbers (they're on the low side fasting and before meals). After 9w of no gain, I go up 7lbs suddenly? I'm hoping it was just timing (couple hours after dinner) and maybe water retention.
Other than those random thoughts, the pregsomnia is full swing and my new bedtime is 3am
Didn't sleep at all last night due to painful swelling, cramping and HEARTBURN ughhhh! Caught up on here but was too tired to type.... Questions -- that cramping/tightening feeling is BH right?? Have y'all heard that dates are good to eat in the 3rd trimester for better labor? Just saw this on pinterest, I didn't know about this! Think I'll try the smoothie, can't hurt. https://www.mallorymaddox.com/third-trimester-pregnancy-smoothie/
@kosmo86 - I feel your pain. Every.Damn.Night. One day we'll feel like that again....it may take a few years. But one day.....
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom - I tell you this to hopefully make you feel better. With Robert and Elleanore I was on bed rest for almost 8 weeks. I gained 10 lbs in one week during that 8 week period. Twice. No bueno. Just think though, if you haven't gained the past 9 weeks, you're doing really well! And quite possibly it's a lot of water weight.
@Sbrown721 Just echoing what everyone else said... Gerber runs small and the shrinking in any brand is normal, and they'll still fit. I looked at how tiny the newborn stuff is and think there is no way a newborn is that small, but my daughter stayed in newborn for 6 weeks (and was 7 lbs 9 oz at birth).
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom Could be water weight. The same happened with me the last time... lost a bit and steadied out for 6 weeks after GD diagnosis then suddenly was up 6-7 lbs at once. I continued to gain a lot each week after that because of my swelling. I was terrified of pre-e, but never any protein in my urine, so OB was never concerned. This is why, in my mind, I may very well put on another 15 lbs before this pregnancy is over.
@UnwritteN12 it does make me feel better knowing it can happen and it's not a bad thing! Thanks! I haven't been trying to not gain, jut following my GD diet, so just shocked because I haven't made any changes to it this week. I'm good with it if this is what's supposed to happen for me this week. I just hope I don't get yelled at and accused of eating all the things at my next appointment
ETA: because I just saw your reply @camichael84 your experience sounds very similar to what just happened. Thanks for the input, helps me breathe a little easier. I did think pre-e when I weighed myself, especially having experienced these terrible headaches this week and going to L&D but everything looked fine when I went in so I'm hoping it stays that way.
@jbscmama - I heard that and started eating dates around the last month last time, maybe even closer to my due date. No idea if they did anything (certainly didn't make labor come sooner since I went 41+3 weeks) but I did have an easy labor, so who knows? I like dates, so it was an easy addition to my diet!!
All I really want right now is to roam the aisles at Target while sipping a Starbucks drink... pretty much any drink... either that or nap. I think napping might win since I'm sure my pelvis will hate me after Target.

You are SO ready to be a first time mom!!! The first time I left the house alone was probably a month or two after Emmett arrived. I went to Target and just roamed... it was so strange but also pretty awesome.
@sbrown721, 99% of our baby clothes for DS1/2 were hand me downs or consignment, so definitely shrunken from original sizing. Both kids were 9lb and wore NB Carter for the first month or so. I think the 0-3 Gerber was always too small. We wash all the baby/kid stuff in hot on normal cycle b/c there tends to be a fair amount of pee/poop/puke.
I made it home from L&D in time to take the kids to movie in the park last night. We had a blast! Only issue is they are normally in bed by 8, but last night not until 11:30 AND they woke up at normal time this morning. So happy to send that mess for daycare to deal with!
@Megan324 - I can be a real penny pincher and hate when my husband spends money on Dunkin.. but even when clamping down if he got it every once in a while I wouldn't mind, I consider frivolous to be buying it every day if we have coffee and bagels at home already.

Yes. You are right on. Gerbers runs an entire size too small, and Carters "3 month" is "0-3", not "3-6". So in our drawer, Carters "3 month" and gerbers "3-6" is in the same drawer as circo (and most other brands) "0-3"
May as well just dry them and then have the baby wear them whenever they fit.

How can I rationalize buying it?
Treat. Yo. Self.
I have to go to Target anyway so 2 birds with 1 stone!
