Re: Mixed race jellybeans?
EDD for #1: 3/19/17
Although it will present challenges in the future, we are loving life right now and thankfully live in a pretty mixed area!
I'm European Caucasian (French line but born and raised in the states and look very a typically white). My husband is Portuguese. He used to live in southern California and was frequently stopped for no reason. It's always been in the back of my mind (especially with what's going on in the world) that my daughters might encounter some discrimination in the future. They tan like their daddy and have a very Latin last name. But I don't dwell on it. So far it's never been an issue and I'm doing my best to teach them that differences are real and beautiful and they'll always have more privilege than some. I'm teaching them to use their privilege to stand up for those who don't have what they do and I can only hope others will do the same for them!

TTC again soon!
I'm super excited to see what our LO will look like. I think mixed race babies are gorgeous. Plus they are less likely to have genetic issues.
