***General TW that this thread can and will mention MC and loss.***
This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say, and treat this like an ongoing conversation.

</div><div><b>What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?)</b> Doctor also added a course of antibiotics that are wrapping up shortly here. DH will be coming with me to my next appointment so I can get his SA kit, a script for the HSG, and he really wants to do the ovulatory u/s series soon, too.
</div><div> </div><div><b>How are things going?</b> Ugh. I almost cried today in my Creighton session today BUT I DIDN'T! DH came with me so that was cool. She is giving me a quiz next time, because then I'll be charting 3 months on my own, but of course, still following up with the doctors ongoing... DH was getting depressed the other night because he is convinced it's a problem on his end that is making us not get pregnant. It makes me so sad, but I mean, he's being silly because what he's even talking about is not a big deal. If he has any infertility, it's not because of what he's worried about, but still it's hard to see him getting down on himself or our situation, or to hear her say adamantly, if we have had well-timed intercourse for this long and are not pregnant THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON. wtf.
</div><div> </div><div><b>Any questions?</b> Anyone have a crystal ball? lol the Creighton instructor was saying she has a, "good feeling," that we WILL get pregnant, it just might take a little time/intervention, but she's SURE we will get pregnant because she just knows. lol That's nice. Does anyone know when???

@Daisy621 , I wouldn't worry honestly. That case was in Miami and its a farrrr journey from there to Orlando. H and I are going to Sarasota in Sept. No worries on my end. Try not to stress. I know, easier said then done. If it ends up in Orlandoyou can always call the airline and tell them your TTC or pregnant and that it is unsafe for you to go there at this time and try to get money back.

@BusinessWife I feel so bad for YH! Poor guy! Hopefully the SA will put him in the clear. I mean, on one hand if there does turn out to be an issue, at least you'll pinpoint it and get a plan. It would almost be better than unexplained, if there are in fact any issues. On the other hand, I obviously reallllly hope there are NO issues with his counts!

Regardless, you are 16 cycles in. If you have been TTC over a year with no living child then you will have no issues getting into an RE. PCPs are there for your own health. OBs are meant to keep you pregnant. REs are meant to get you pregnant.

What blood work will I need?
Can you get a script for MH to get an SA?
Can you give me an hsg to make sure my tubes are clear?
Can I get an ultrasound of my ovaries/uterus?
I temp, I chart, I OPK, what are your thoughts on this?
I've been off of hormonal birth control for x months, could our trouble be I haven't regulated yet?
What are you recommendations for medicated cycles?
Unfortunately or fortunately, I suppose however you look at it, she could kind of tell from my appearance and lack of AF that I would probably test for PCOS. Not sure if you'll get that too, but just throwing it out there.

How are you doing?: I'm ok - benched due to doctors orders not to BD for 1 week after hysterscopy so we missed FW; hysterscopy went well just waiting on pathology results but am not worried; so I asked RE about next steps and if we can do Clomid + TI cycle monitored and she said sure but OH needs to complete his SA and we both need to do the genetic testing first. OH had an appt 2 months ago for his SA but didn't go and is giving me a hard time about it - really dude? I've been examined, poked, etc a bunch of times - get over it So i kinda used some scare tactics with him (prob a FFFC here) but said ok we have two choices - you get the SA and we do the genetic testing with the RE who is going to monitor us with the Clomid and make sure we don't have high order multiples OR I'll just do the Clomid with the OB unmonitored and take the chance...you pick (for the record, I refused to do the Clomid unmonitored with the OB when they suggested it and that hasn't changed but he doesn't need to know that lol) so someone will be getting the SA done soon

@MandyBeeSLP I have to echo what @HarryPotterandCats said. Initial testing (CD3/thyroid etc) with OB is a good plan but if they are like mine and a lot of others I have heard about, the OB may suggest Clomid unmonitored and when i asked about being monitored she didn't even understand why that would be necessary. My PCP would defer any Ttc questions to my OB.

I admit that I am pretty clueless going into this, but I have to start somewhere. Since my insurance doesn't pay for anything related to infertility I was hoping some of the bloodwork could be done at my PCP and coded as something that would be covered. I was also originally thinking I needed a referral but thinking about it again if my insurance doesn't cover anything there's no point in that.

the cases of local transmission in Florida are so far all related to one small area in Miami. I currently live in central Florida so I am keeping an eye on this and in general just being smart about it (bug spray, avoiding areas with mosquitos in the early morning and evenings, covering up when possibly (it's so dang hot that one is hard).
September is still mosquito season technically (it's hot and rainy) but it really depends on where you are and whether or not there is a large stagnant body of water nearby.
@mrsdaddario fingers crossed for you today!

@kristismith95 Like PP said, everyone will be different, but I took 4 Ibuprofen an hour before and it wasn't pleasant but wasn't awful. There was a little trouble getting the catheter in and I could definitely feel the balloon that holds it in place, but I didn't have any blockages and didn't feel the dye at all. @Daisy621 - As some of the other ladies have said, it sounds like it would be okay if you cover yourself in mosquito repellant. The outbreak has been targeted to one neighborhood in Miami so far. Keep an eye on the news and CDC recommendations, and as the date gets closer you might ask your OBGYN for advice. I have traveled to a couple of mosquitoey areas in the past year and didn't get a single bite (though I did get eaten alive in NYC because I didn't expect mosquitoes there... d'oh!). Just constantly wear a good repellant and cover up with light, loose clothing. With that said, if you will be worried the entire trip and unable to enjoy yourself, canceling is totally an option.
@MandyBeeSLP - Mrs Daddario's advice for questions to ask was great. Also, I'm sure you have looked at this, so sorry if this is annoying, but are you certain that your insurance doesn't cover IF testing? I ask because mine doesn't cover any treatment at all, but it does cover initial testing which is really helpful. If not, perhaps your PCP could get you started with the bloodwork and an ultrasound.
@BusinessWife - Love that your Creighton instructor is also a psychic! That's so convenient.
@Marley629 - We haven't done our genetic testing yet, but our RE told us it takes 3 weeks for the results.
@kristismith95 - You've already gotten lots of answers, but I'll chime in anyway.
ETA: @YesOuiCan my cycles tend to be irregular and I O anywhere from CD13 to CD36 and FF says, based off the past 11 months that I've charted, my average O day is 17.1. This cycle I'm currently waiting on to end I didn't O till CD34. But the cycle before I ovulated on CD13. So who knows.

@madasm0530 GL with your IUI!!
@rh10264706 I am on my third cycle with 100mg progesterone and I still temped. I saw the rise happen, and last cycle my temps actually dropped significantly, even before stopping the P4, so I would say it's not totally pointless. I still tried to take my post-O temps with a grain of salt. Mine so far has not been a very high dose though, and I don't know what dose you're on, or really how high the levels need to be before it just totally gives you a big old fake chart lol
