@furbabymom2007, @HarryPotterandCats, and @Daisy621: thanks for your input! I'm on antibiotics and ibuprofen before so hopefully that helps. In my experience, when they say slight pressure they mean intense pain. Lol! I guess I will just wait and see. Either way it will be good to have some answers!
@YesOuiCan Not annoying at all! I appreciate the advice. My plan doesn't cover anything, including diagnosis. Unfortunately, neither does my husband's.

@NamelessAria I know I don't usually post in this thread, though I probably should, but just wanted to give my two cents. I'm currently on medicated cycles. Assuming that there is a next cycle this month (which I'm fairly certain at this point there will be), there is a strong possibility that my DH will be in Seattle for 2 weeks for work (we live in Miami...so overnight quickies are not an option for this work trip) Because his dates are not set in stone yet, and because my cycles are still somewhat irregular even when medicated, we will probably opt to skip this cycle of the Clomid. I'll still go in for an u/s during the first week of my cycle to make sure everything is okay, and I will probably temp/track my cycle just for my own knowledge still...but I'd hate to waste a round of Clomid on a month that we might not be able to get our timing right. Your situation, of course, is not identical to mine but the not knowing about the timing would be stressful for me. On my first medicated cycle I O'ed on CD14, but on this cycle not until CD 21. It's still not entirely predictable for me, even with the meds. Also, that is the worst about the blue dye tests. I'm sorry you had to have your emotions toyed with so much. I'm sure it's exhausting and am just sorry to hear that you've been going through so much.
Does anyone else taking metformin know if it's okay to take it at the same time as your prenatals? I can't find anything as to why it wouldn't be okay and my doctor said yes, it's fine, and pharmacist was like "ehhh...it should fine.... I guess."

@BusinessWife did you actually get your period on the progesterone or just the temp drop? Last cycle I still got AF on progesterone, but I had only been taking it for 3 days, the doctor had me start it 7dpo, which was way too late. I'm not sure what to expect this this time.
I posted this question in the TWW thread, but I knew I wouldn't get a response. So I'm posting here!
Anyone experience tenderness and general uncomfortableness/cramping after IUI? Yesterday I had my third IUI, and unlike with the first two times, this time around I'm feeling pretty uncomfortable down there. It hurts to stand/sit, twist etc. I sent an email to my doctor, in hopes that they'll just confirm my suspicions that my cervix was irritated and it's nothing to worry about. I'm also wondering if I could be feeling ovulation pain? I guess I'm worrying because this hasn't happened before!
@mrsdaddario I definitely had cramping and uncomfortable pains after my IUI but they only lasted for that day. My IUI was around 10:45am, and I had severe cramping until I went to bed that night around midnight, and woke up and I was fine after that. I hope your doctor gets back to you soon and the pain is completely normal!

Thanks for the response @HarryPotterandCats. I ended up taking three aspirin, and they finally kicked in about an hour and a half ago. Or maybe my body is just calming down finally. Either way I'll take it. My doctor's office finally got back to me and said:
mrsdaddario,
It is hard to say exactly what you are experiencing without doing an in-person evaluation. I would recommend extra strength Tylenol every 4-6 hours. This is most likely ovulation based off of what you are describing but if you start to experience any fever, increased symptoms, vaginal odor etc we will want to bring you in for evaluation in office tomorrow.

Hey, if it's ovulation I'll freaking take it LOL. It will mean our IUI timing was optimal. But I didn't know ovulation could be so.....apparent. Fx it means something this time lol.

So the lab I used (labcorp) apparently has a policy that they won't release lab results to you the patient until your doctor has had the results for 2 days or so. And they finally released my results to me this morning.
Everything looked pretty good except my TSH is a little high at 4.780 and the lab noted the "normal range" ends at 4.50. And my MTHFR came back as C677T/C677T which the lab didn't say whether that is normal or not and it looks like, from some quick Googling, that it's a MTHFR mutation. And after some more Googling and completely confused. Some places say it's normal, others say it's abnormal. I give up. I'm waiting for my doctor to explain it tomorrow morning.
ETA: @SnobunnieMel I know you said you have an MTHFR mutation. What prenatal do you take?

@MandyBeeSLP If you search for Clomid here you'll find some great information about monitoring and some horror stories that will make you admonish anyone taking Clomid unmonitored! Off the top of my head they're checking that you're responding and developing follicles but also that you're not developing cysts or thinning your lining. @TheBorg7of9 has some great information about Clomid she's shared many times.
@kristismith95 What @furbabymom2007 said. It varies. Take ibuprofen an hour before your appointment just in case to minimize cramping. For what it's worth, I had no pain or cramps. Try not to worry! It's at least a very fast procedure.

@NamelessAria I feel like every doctor says something different, but I was told that a TSH between 1-2 was optimal for TTC. Hopefully your doctor will work with you to get your levels down so at the very least you are within the 'normal' range.

Thanks ladies! I had my ultrasound today, and go in for my HSG tomorrow. I will be loading up on the ibuprofen. So far it looks like PCOS so that's kinda bumming me out. I have increased LH levels and lots of follicles in my ovaries. Wishing everyone the best!
Just got back from my appointment with the RE to discuss blood work and apparently I'm may be homozygous MTHFR. The lab sent me the results for the MTHFR test but they didn't send it to the RE office. I showed him what they sent me and apparently my copy of the results says I'm homozygous MTHFR but since the RE's office didn't have an official copy of those results yet he's hestiant to go ahead and say "yeah you have that!" So maybe. I have antiphospholipid syndrome. I have low progesterone in the luteal phase. And I have hypothyroidism.
But hey at least it's all treatable and I have some answers as to what may, or may not, be causing RPL. So, progress!

Diagnosis (If you've been): PCOS, possible progesterone issues
Cycle/CD: 12/25
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) We are doing an unmedicated IUI cycle w/trigger and progesterone due to the fact I have a 40mm cyst on my right ovary.
How are things going? Follicle scan showed some growth today, which surprised everyone. We sort of thought this cycle was a wash and that today's appt would back that up. I have an 11 mm follicle growing on my right side and now I am waiting to here back about my estrogen levels. If they are high enough, we will probably be looking at an IUI early next week. I had lost hope for this cycle and am feeling optimistic for the first time.
Momma to Amelia Marie (7/14) and Austin Samuel (11/17). Adding baby (girl) #3 on 7/21
@NamelessAria I need to Google some of that; but it sounds like, as you said, it's all treatable. Do you feel some relief now that you know what's going on? Are you still planning on doing a medicated cycle?
@mrsdaddario Honestly just having some answers, even if maybe it's not all the answers, has given me optimism I haven't had in months. Any one of those things alone could theoretically cause a MC and while I'm not sure any one alone would explain RPL I feel like together it's a pretty decent explanation. I mean there could definitely still be some other piece to the puzzle but I feel like treating all that will at least improve my odds a decent bit and at this point that's more cause for hope than I've had in a long time.
I discussed it all briefly with my husband on the phone after the appointment and it's funny because hearing a doctor say all that finally made it "real" for him that we're having some problems that aren't "normal." And somehow it made him feel what I've been feeling all alone for the last several months that "something is wrong and I'm not sure we'll ever get a take-home baby." So now I'm thinking "but if we treat all that then maybe next time it won't be a loss!" and he's thinking "well fuck, that's a lot. I guess we'll never get a take-home baby." I'm hoping that once it all sinks in for him he'll move to where I am that "at least it's treatable and we have some answers!" And I guess now when I'm having hard days where I feel like it'll never happen we'll be more on the same page and I won't be met with naive optimism that "no everything is fine. It's totally normal to have several losses. I'm sure everything is fine and there isn't anything wrong. It's just some bad luck. We'll get it next time!" which is nice because that has been pretty isolating.
I guess I'm just going to do the medicated cycle. I have my reservations about but I talked to my RE about everything and he seemed pretty adamant that I should just go ahead with the medicated cycle. His reasoning was that another 50 day cycle would be a waste of time and if I had "normal" cycles I could nearly finish 2 in the time my last one took so he doesn't want to risk another long cycle. And he wants to start me on the lowest dose of Clomid and see if that dose brings my progesterone up enough and such. So ugh, I guess I'm going for it even though my husband and I will likely miss the fertile window and it'll all be for nothing. At least my RE can see how I respond to the lowest Clomid dose and whatever. I'm not 100% sure I'm making the right decision especially since most of you ladies said you'd skip Clomid this cycle.

@NamelessAria I'm glad YH has finally had an 'ah-ha' moment. And listen, just because we all say we wouldn't do a medicated cycle if our SO's were out of town, doesn't mean that's how we would feel if we were going through it. I 100% understand how frustrating and saddening it must be to feel like you need to sit a cycle out. Especially if you've just learned all of these things that you didn't know before. So yes, it's easy for us to say that, but I doubt any of us would really sit it out either. Let's just keep our fingers tightly crossed that your FW gets hit before YH leaves town! You said he's leaving between CD 13-16?! So it's totally possible I think to hit some good days. Especially since the Clomid will normalize that window!
@NamelessAria That is a lot of information to process, at least now you have some answers! It sounds like there could be some valuable information to be gained from trying the clomid, so don't let the previous discussion influence you; You do what feels right for you
I have always been hopeful for you, and I am even more hopeful now

mrsdaddario,
It is hard to say exactly what you are experiencing without doing an in-person evaluation.

But hey at least it's all treatable and I have some answers as to what may, or may not, be causing RPL. So, progress!

Cycle/CD: 12/25
