I get terrible reflux caused by acid that makes me feel like there's a lump of mucus or food in my throat. I end up throwing up in my mouth (small to moderate amount) pretty often. It's often worse at night for me.
I've had an issue with it since childhood on and off, but pregnancy has made it a million times worse, especially the further along I get. Certain foods (right now dairy and acidic foods and drinks like lemonade) make it worse, but it can come on at any time.
Maybe this is what I'm having although the pain is usually in my stomach (or where I imagine my stomach to be right now). Sorry you've dealt with that for so long! It's terrible!
@RG1 It's possible. I sometimes get pains in my stomach area when it happens. That used to happen more frequently when I was younger, now I just get the sickness and stuck food feeling most of the time before it happens.
Have you tried Tums? They don't do a lot for me and I have to take a minimum of three, but they do ease my symptoms somewhat. If they don't work, they're at least fairly inexpensive and nice to have on hand for indigestion.
I used to take prescription medications but they were expensive and I hated having to take them every day, even if it was to help prevent issues before they started. These days I just chew some Tums and power through, although it may not be the best solution (and Tums can cause constipation, so it's a trade off).
My biggest symptoms causing the most frustration are my swollen feet and ankles and not being able to move around to get stuff done like I used to. I miss being able to bend down and move freely. Every task feels like a chore now. Due Date not until Aug 24 so I still have weeks to go. As much as DH tries to help, I am not wanting to ask him and wait for him to every little task I am used to doing. I am thankful for this online support as its easy for me to feel alone in my frustrations as none of my friends or family are pregnant right now that can relate. I know all this will be over soon it's just a struggle getting through it.
Anyone else getting like a burning sensation on the skin of their belly? It's like a candle there... I saw online it probably is the skin stretching for the final stages since its so crowded but man.
Re: Symptoms Thread - July
