GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week?
R/R: Rant: ok, I know I mentioned my FIL would be with us pretty much my entire FW. I was hoping that we could BD at least once or twice while he was here. But, we haven't HIO at all. Zero, Zilch, Nada! I am really frustrated with DH right now. I told him yesterday that I had a positive opk and that last night would be the ideal time (also had EWCM like ice had for the past several days and CP was high, open, and soft. When he said he was going to bed early, I thought that he was giving me a sign. Nope. I know this is only our second cycle, but we also had friends stay with us for the first FW. I don't know how you ladies with terrible travel schedules get through this!
CS/Q: if I O today, we would have -6 timing. Maybe a +1 if we could get BD in tomorrow. My chances suck.
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? Friday. Sorry, I'm just a bitter Betty today.
@BertieMeetsGertie Oh no! I'm so sorry, that really sucks. The first 6 months after the wedding, we were more or less NTNP or "not NOT trying" ;) ;) because of that very thing - terrible travel schedules due to finishing up a cross-country move. After all that settled down is when we really switched to TTC in earnest.
Cycle/Month: 10 cycles TTC, 11 consecutive with good timing, 3rd Creighton cycle
CD:12
WAYDTGKU: All the things, plus wrapping up a course of antibiotics, starting third cycle of progesterone at 3-12DPO.
R/R: Peak Smiley! I had to take FF off OPK mode (again!) cos it loves to do this predictive vertical line thing the minute I get solid smiley on the CBAdv. Advanced mode has it back to normal. We took last night off, so if we're back on tonight for another 3 in a row and if tomorrow is in fact O, then we could stand to get -5, -4, -3, -1,O,+1. But those are all a lot of IF's, so I won't stress about it either way.
CS: Maybe this is really a Rant, but instead I'll call it a PSA. If we are in WTO right now, can we agree to try to make a point to wait till 3DPO and/or when FF gives us all crosshairs before we move over to TWW? I mean, unless you're literally at the doctor getting IUI, or they gave you an u/s and you can say yes, I ovulated TODAY, really O can only be confirmed in hindsight. So just a friendly reminder to anyone who may be new or wondering, that's why we wait till 3DPO to move over to TWW, so we can observe a sustained elevated BBT temp shift, change in CM/CP etc. Cool? Sorry, I guess that's just a minor pet peeve of mine ;)
GTKY: Creighton sesh today... our employee is not in today, so we'll see if DH comes with me, even. Other than that, have a lot of music to practice and work. :D
@BusinessWife I almost used the same gif in a thread I just started. And also I don't want to think of another GTKY question so I'm going to steal yours! Please and thank you!
R/R: I started the CBAD yesterday and got a flashing smiley today! I see lots of people with daaaaaays of flashing smiley, so hoping that isn't me. I seem to have a ton of CM (has been creamy only to date) but that also is different. Maybe this will be a good cycle! Aiming for "great" timing this go around
CS/Q: not too much to see here!
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? HIO- it's FW (hopefully!)
Me: 36 DH: 37 Married May 2013
TTC #1: April 2016 (Mirena removed March 2016 after 2.5 years)a BFP #1: 10/14/16 - DD born 6/2017 TTC #2 November 2018 (Mirena removed October 2018 after 1 year) BFP #2 9/11/19 - EDD 5/24/20 - DD born 5/2020 TTC #3 May 2022 (Mirena removed after almost 2 years) BFP #3 11/24/23 - EDD 7/30/24
R/R: Pretty sure I ended up o'ing yesterday which makes for horrible timing.
CS/Q:
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? Wednesday we're driving 4 hrs to visit the inlaws. But that's not the part I'm looking forward to. We used to live in that area and I love going back. We'll go to the zoo and make it a fun couple days.
WAYDTGKU: Nothing now. Waiting for AF to really be over. Mostly very tiny amounts of spotting. So hopefully I convince H to HIO tonight. I needs the vitamin D.
R/R: I cant even complain that it is Monday. I am starting my 4th week of work with no day off. I am tired and the days are running together. I would like to add that the dreaded day has arrived. The start of the 30th month TTC. WOW. I am actually really sad about it. But can I really complain? We SHOULD be seeing the RE, but $ isn't right and had to forgo that and save up a bit for it. However, I am starting the 21 day fix (again) today. I am pretty pumped about it this time and I hope I can stick to it. If I can't be a mom I might as well be hot right? ha
CS/Q: nada. Just a bunch of red boxes no one wants to see haha
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? Nothing really. Season 7 of Archer is finally available so I will be binging on that. I think I will also watch some Star Wars too. Plus working NON STOP with no time off. And getting back into the swing of eating right and working out again.
@BusinessWife - I totally agree. Wait the 3 days unless IUI, us or whatever else says you HAVE O'd TODAY
@AliciaGoose No prob! ;)
@sevenn. Yay for blinkie-smiley!!! Fx for good timing over there.... ;)
WAYDTGKU: Charting cm and temps and waiting for that FW.
R/R: I haven't posted in like a week because I just felt like I had nothing to say. Still just in the boring stage but I've had some fertile cm which is early for me. This is my 3rd cycle off the pill. The first cycle off I didn't get fertile cm until cd13 and the second cycle I didn't get any until cd16. Gonna start OPKs sooner this time around I guess!
CS/Q: Nothing right now.
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week?
Just looking forward to Friday really. Have a girl's night planned which had been long overdue.
H & I: Both 28 Married: June 2015 TTC #1: June 2016 BFP: 11-24-16 ~ EDD 8-9-17 IT'S A BOY!
@Daisy621. I love a good mini-roadtrip! Enjoy the visit back to your old stomping-ground... ;)
@GrabberBlue2010 (Re: waiting till 3DPO) Thanks! I know you, of all peeps, can vouch for how tricky that can be sometimes, and really, I should specify, bc it's not the IUI persay that makes the difference, it's whether the doctor has verified you ovulated on that day when he saw you. ;) Just to be clear! Lol
I'm so sorry for this dubious milestone in your journey... don't give up hope though! Along with getting heathier overall, have you thought about trying any other fertility supplements you're not already on? Sometimes just trying Something like that makes me feel more like I'm exercising a little control over it... even though I know it's mostly out of our hands...
@TheMrs I know what you mean about nothing to say... this part of the cycle is by far the worst in my opinion. I end up posting to help pass the time, but maybe it really doesn't...
@GrabberBlue2010 Good luck with the 21 Day Fix! I really need to get my diet back on track. But.... food.
Cycle/Month: 3/3
CD: 10
WAYDTGKU: Nothing that someone else on this board isn't doing
R/R: I've seen people say this here before, but I hate how much I am wishing time away. I just want time to hurry the eff up so it's time to see if I'm KU or not. It's such a shame but I can't help it.
CS/Q: Nah
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week?
Nothing really until Saturday - a new Pure Barre is opening and I have wanted to try it forever, but it's soooo expensive. I've tried rip off versions and it was meh. They're offering free classes before their official opening day. Win!
@BusinessWife - (Re- Waiting 3dpo) Yes there you go. You totally put my thoughts into readable words much better. LOL. Your an adultier adult than me today.
I have thought about it. I was going to go back through some of the posts today and see what everyone has been doing. You would *think* I would have been taking note of all of it so I would have to info on hand. But nnooOOooOOooOOOoo. (Lazy slacker really, tbh). I am really interested in that RRLT? that everyone has been raving about. And some other vitamins. I figure it wouldn't hurt. And maybe gain some kind of control just as you said.
I just realized I was mistakenly saying 2/2 while it was still July, I should have said 1/2. But now it really is 2/2.
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: Temping, will HIO and check CM after AF is done.
R/R: Still keep waking up in the middle of the night and throwing off my temps. Its been like every day for a week now. I held off on any wine with dinner thinking that was the culprit, but nope. I know I'm still in AF but I want to establish at least a baseline temp so I can see a clear shift. I'm so frustrated because last cycle FF couldn't find a pattern to my temps and I don't know if I was actually anovulatory or if temping just sucked because of crappy sleep. I really think it is psychological at this point, I'm waking up because I want so bad not to? Does that make sense?
CS/Q: Nah
GTKY: I can't wait for period to be done so we can get this show on the road. Also, this weekend we are going on a double date with my DH'so best friend and his new girlfriend, we are going to try to get a sitter so that should be fun!
@GrabberBlue2010 , I'm sorry about hitting 30 months. I can't imagine how frustrated you must feel. I hope you get a day off work soon so you can do something relaxing for yourself!

R/R: was seriously ss yesterday and got AF in the middle of th day. Really bummed about it plus AF was early so it was only a 9 day luteal phase but I got my iud out just days before o so I kind of figured this would happen.
CS/Q:
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? Might go to the beach this weekend. I told DH the other day that if I got a BFP then I wouldn't have to worry about AF but I guess she's going too.
R/R: Couldn't get a contact out of my eye Saturday night. I went to sleep hoping for better luck on Sunday. Woke up Sunday to an eye you could easily draw blood from and no luck on the contact front. Found an eye dr that was actually open on Sunday but didn't take my insurance. $100 later, there was no contact in my eye at all. So basically I poked myself in the eye 4 million times for no reason and now have to sport the glasses for a week. Yuuuup.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? Friday. Friday. Friday.
@bertiemeetsgertie Oh no - that really sucks! We're in a similar spot this month - DH is out of town every week it seems, and I'm leaving next weekend to go to a wedding. Just poopy timing.
@businesswife Great PSA - hope everyone sees it I was one of those who would move over prematurely, but I've since learned.
@grabberblue2010 Woot - good job on restarting 21 day fix! Do you follow the diet plan too?
Cycle/Month: 5/6
CD: 6
WAYDTGKU: temping, charting, OPKs, RRL, preseed
R/R: Not much here to report. Life's been kind of boring lately. DH is out of town a lot - I'm a little worried about our timing this month, but I think it'll be ok. Have my rescheduled gyn appointment today. Sigh. Joy.
CS/Q:
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week?
My friends and I are going to one of those paint and drink wine places this Friday - I'm not a huge fan of painting, but I love wine sooooooo - I'll deal.
Also, I MUST dance this week - I've been seriously putting it off. I have no idea what routine I'm doing next Tuesday for a performance.
@GrabberBlue2010 Are you taking a prenatal vitamin at least? with DHA? I would say that is a good place to start. RRL tea is good and not too expensive. There's some debate over its safety in 1st tri and then people usually like to bring it back for 3rd tri. I have also read that it's basically safe any time of your cycle or pregnancy, but for those folks who may have a reason to be extra-cautious of MC, I think they will stop the RRL tea once they get a BFP, or even once they confirm O! (Although I think the latter may be a bit overkill, again, unless you had a history of MC and were had reason to be concerned about that.) I have heard good things about Maca, and while I do not take it personally, I do give it to my DH along with his other vitamins/supplements, so if your DH is not yet on a multi, this would be a good time to start! (and/or add extra vitamin C/E or L-carnitine, if he is already taking a multi.)
CoQ10 is also wonderful for both of you, but can be on the pricier side. My doctor recommends QuNol. So I would say if you really want to start adding a couple things again, more in the spirit of good health, prenatals for you with DHA and a multi for him, and CoQ10 for both would be Awesome! I think the Maca is maybe not as spendy as some of the other supplements out there, if you want to do some research on that. And since you know you may struggle with irregular/long cycles, I might consider looking into Ovaboost, by Fairhaven health. Again, not exactly cheap, but cheaper than seeing the RE and if it were to help your eggs get in gear and your cycles regulate a little, that'd be great!
I would just caution, you don't worry about adding everything at once, because then you also wouldn't know what, if anything, is making a difference, kwim? Like if you just wanted to add the CoQ10 and RRL/Green teas this cycle or even for the next couple and see how that goes... then maybe think more about the Ovaboost? Whatever small thing(s) you feel like trying that helps you get the a happy-place, that's what you should do! ;)
@Businesswife looks like you'll get great timing! Woo hoo! Hope your appointment goes well! (and I agree about the 3dpo thing) @grabberblue2010 Sorry you're bummed about 30 months. It's perfectly normal to feel sad. @jackiemarie1989 If it makes you feel better, I never temp during AF because my AF temps don't provide an accurate baseline, anyway (temps can be super erratic during AF). There should still be enough time between the end of AF and O to get a good baseline.
Cycle/Month: 12/12
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: calling the RE today to set up testing (had first appointment last month)
R/R: Cycle day 2 speaks for itself, right?
CS/Q: For people who take coq10, how many mg do you take? and do you take it all cycle?
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? I have two weeks left of summer break, but H had to go back today. I am looking forward to catching up on all of the shows he hates (i.e., Pretty Little Liars, UnReal, and Scream).
@felix08 Yuck!!! CS/Q: Does anyone have insight to
Estroven? It’s a supplement that is
supposed to help with hot flashes and menopause symptoms but I have friends who
swear they and/or friends used it to get KTFU and it worked, helping CM, O and
others.
GTKY: It's Monday...

@felix08 I take 100 mg of CoQ10 and I take it every day that I remember. I also give it to DH.
Cycle/Month: 2/2
CD: 18
WAYDTGKU: Temping, CoQ10, green tea, HIO
R/R: Simultaneous rant and rave: DH's sister came to visit us for the weekend, and we had a great time! But... I think I ovulated yesterday and obviously there was no HIO with her there! This means our timing would be not great. I'm hoping we can get today in, just in case, and then I'll be -5, -2, and +1.
CS/Q: I had ovulation pain Saturday and Sunday, a little EWCM on Sunday, and a temp spike this morning to 97.7. Since we had company, I only did an OPK Sunday evening and got a faint line - wondering if I missed the surge (or didn't hold long enough). We'll see if the temp spike continues again tomorrow.
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week?
Besides figuring out if I O'd? lol This is a super busy week for me at work, but this weekend DH and I are going on an overnight trip so that will be fun.
R/R: The past few weeks have been so hectic that I've had a horrible diet. I don't remember to eat until lunchtime and yet I haven't been to the store recently, so I often end up with a tortilla with cheese on it. So bad. Both DH and I made a promise that this week we're going to focus our meals around veggies with protein. We're both feeling sluggish and unhealthy.
CS/Q: I started getting EWCM on Friday...CD 6. AF was barely out the door. Not usual for me. Has that ever happened to anyone else? @TheMrs sounds like you have/had the same thing. As you said, think I'm going to start the OPKs earlier...
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? More like what I'm looking forward to next week...Ireland. We head there next Wednesday, so this week is all about getting ready and also selling a bunch of stuff because apparently we're now moving in September (it's a good thing, but still stressful).
WAYDTGKU: waiting out my period right now, and taking PNVs.
R/R: I am really pleased with my last cycle - I wound up having a 12 day LP which is the longest I've had PP. I was still pumping a bit at the beginning of that cycle, so I'm hoping that now that I'm fully off the pump it will continue to get longer and be back at my previous norm of 13-14 days going forward.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? I am looking forward to Friday, as always. Ha. I'm going to my BFF's baby shower this weekend, and I haven't seen her in a few weeks (she lives in another state) so that's exciting. Not exciting? A 3 hour car ride with DD each way. She haaaaates the car.
WAYDTGKU: The plan is to HIO as much as possible between now and the time AF should show up. I have decided I am not getting the hang of tracking yet so we have decided to just assume I am ovulating for the next 20ish days and see what happens. DH is very much on board with this plan. I have been googling CM like crazy and I am trying to figure all that business out. I probably should have started working on this 7 months ago when we started TTC.
R/R:I don't even want to think about the next month. We literally have something going on every weekend between now and mid September. We both work all week and I like to have a day to rest at least once a week. I won't survive.
CS/Q: How long did it take you guys to get the hang of temping and checking CM
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week?.... Friday
@Businesswife thanks for the gif-hug (made me LOL). And that's what we did last cycle with coq10, but just wanted to make sure we were doing it right! The RE is actually the one who "prescribed" it for H and the nurse mentioned they have their IVF patients take it also so I figured I might as well join him. @ladymillil Oh my--good luck with your cat! (and the move!) @momtoleo I'm laughing about your tortilla with cheese comment because I, too, have not visited the grocer in quite some time and just this morning I was wondering what I could even eat for lunch and I was like, well, there's always a quesadilla! @linzrunz We're CD buddies again! And I'm so excited that your kitchen will be finished--mostly because I am dying to see before and afters! @delujm0 Sorry about CD1.
WAYDTGKU:Temping, Checking CM, Vitex, Sex, First Dr appt. next Tuesday (I'm getting nervous about it now too.)
R/R: AC is still out. I'm leaving to go run every insignificant errand I can come up with here in a bit. We finally got a hold of the HVAC company and they should be here between 2:30-5:30, which means I have to be here during the hottest part of the day to wait for them. Oh well, I want it fixed.
CS/Q: I think I may O earlier than usual. I have had an unusually high amount of fertile CM the last couple days, and it's earlier than I usually get it too.
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? My birthday is Thursday!
Me: 29, DH: 32
Married: July 22, 2008 Fur babies: Phoenix and Yeti (both cats).

WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, plan to HIO ED starting CD 12 until I get CHs.
R/R: Well...I got a little distracted by The Bump this morning and didn't leave my house on time, so I missed my train into work.
CS/Q: None today.
GTKY: What are you looking forward to this week?
FW starts this week (around Wednesday)!!! DH is revved up and ready to go, but let's be real, when isn't he?!
Also, we are taking the kids to the beach this weekend as a last hurrah before school starts. Saturday we are going to have a picnic on the beach and build sand castles. Sunday we are going to play mini golf and ride all the rides they have there.
@linzrunz Hey! Looking forward to seeing your kitchen transformation, too!
@bswishe4 If you can find a way to temp consistently at the same time, that helps a LOT. I got the hang of it after a few cycles, but I started to learn more about CM later on...
@momtoleo You can definitely get fertile cm while AF is still on her way out. I I'd very early for me, on CD11 two cycles ago, and this cycle is also shaping up to be a bit early for me. By CD4 I had creamy CM while still spotting, stretchy cloudy/clear on CD7 and peak reading today on CD12. You know what they say... if you see EWCM,
I'm bacccckkkk. Took a short break from this board due to some confusing stuff with my cycle. But I'm back and ready to jump in. Cycle/Month:4/5, soon to be 5/5
CD: Okay so I'm actually technically TWW (CD 27)... but I'm WFAF so I just want to be on this thread instead.
WAYDTGKU: PNV, will restart BBT when AF shows up, Vitex, RRLT, OPKs
R/R: Just waiting on AF at this point, ready to get moving with next cycle.
CS/Q: none today
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week?
@BusinessWife temping is the hardest for me. I can't wake up at the same time every day and setting an alarm for the middle of the night just makes me super cranky. I am getting slightly more consistent but have a long way to go lol. I am hoping I can pin point more with CM since that I can control a little more. Also - Thank you for explaining more about when to switch over to TWW I have been up in the air about when to post where and this helps clarify for me.
Edit because only half of the response went through
R/R: My best friend's wedding pictures just came in (I was matron of honor) and we all look ahhhhmazing. I was worried, it was super hot and sunny and we were dying out there. On the other hand, this past weekend was my 4 year anniversary and our plans got wrecked by bad weather + my grandmother need a pacemaker put in, so my husband and I are super grouchy and I just want him out of my hair so I can get things DONE.
CS/Q: How does everyone measure average period length? Only days that require the use of some kind of menstrual product? Or...? I've never really known what to tell doctors on this one.
GTKY: I'm looking forward to finishing some very long, drawn-out home renovation projects: specifically, I'm going to finish taking out all the kitchen windows, stripping them, repainting, and reinstalling. I can't wait til it's done.
Me: 32 Husbando: 49 Married Since: 7/29/2012 omgosh
@Westy99 thanks! I just hate that it was my own fault. @LadyMillil Do you give your cat anything to help with travel? I'm moving mine in a few weeks but by car. It's a 4 hour drive and they've never been in a car for more than like 30 mins. I'm so nervous. @ahrains is it bad that when the eye dr said you can't wear contacts for a week or so, my first thought was not oh wow I f'ed my eye being silly, but more like how do I function in summer without sunglasses?
Hey @antoto! I was just thinking about you and a few others I hadn't seen around here lately!
Cycle/Month: 8 (yuck month change)/ 6
CD: 22
WAYDTGKU: Apparently letting O sneak up on me and missing getting great timing... Hey, eggs, some consistency would be appreciated here.
R/R: See above. If my OPKs aren't lying, I probably O'd yesterday - maybe today, but no temp rise yet. I wasn't expecting it for a few more days, but we shall wait and see.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? Well, I have my initial RE appt in T-2 hours, which is scaryexciting. Looking forward to talking to someone who can help get a plan in place! Also, going to happy hour on Wednesday to wish a co-worker farewell. I adore my co-workers and we don't do happy hour nearly enough, so that will be fun. And on Thursday night, one of my best friends from college is coming to visit for the weekend with her family, so that should be a fun 4 days (and a good distraction from early TWW crazies!)
WAYDTGKU: PNV, Baby aspirin, HIO once we get to the FW, Tempting...
R/R: Hiii! I'm new, and I guess today is the day for to me jump in! I've been enjoying lurking for the last few months.Today is DH's birthday! So we are having his mom and step dad over for dinner tonight.
CS/Q: I am just getting used to temping, which is a little challenging for me. I wake up a lot in the middle of the night, and also frequently like an hour before my alarm goes off. So I don't know if I should be temping when I know that I've slept for 3 hours (even at 4:30 in the morning) or just wait until I know I am up for good.
GTKY: It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week? Well, I am a teacher and we go back to work on Wednesday, which is ridiculously early and I'm not quite ready! But I will get to see my coworkers who I really get along well with, so I am looking forward to that.
@Kim41313 Welcome to the community! I would suggest you take it when you first wake up and have slept for 3 hours. If you use Fertility Friend it will give you an open circle for that but it is likely more accurate than at your normal time without 3 hours of sleep. You can also try taking it at both times for a while and see how your body handles it.
Edited to add some things.

@hezzer78 - I am going to try and stick to it as much as possible. I have shopped off the allow food lists. It seems like I require more protein in my diet to lose weight. So I think I am going to have to go off trial and error this first round. I am NOT good at cooking, so that also plays a huge factor in my success. Normally if I cook something and it tastes awful I give up. lol.
@BusinessWife - Thank you for all the wonderful info! I have written it all down. I think I will start with the tea and the CoQ10. And then progress from there. I do take pnv with dha, so at least I have that going for me. lol. I have tried maca before and why I stopped I dunno. I will have to start back up again. I can mask it easily in something. As always...
@ahrains - hot damn I would not survive those kind of hours. I would die. Actually, I would be living in a box house cause I would have quit. Hell, I have thought about it in this current situation.

Nothing really until Saturday - a new Pure Barre is opening and I have wanted to try it forever, but it's soooo expensive. I've tried rip off versions and it was meh. They're offering free classes before their official opening day. Win!
I have thought about it. I was going to go back through some of the posts today and see what everyone has been doing. You would *think* I would have been taking note of all of it so I would have to info on hand. But nnooOOooOOooOOOoo. (Lazy slacker really, tbh).

Whatever small thing(s) you feel like trying that helps you get the a happy-place, that's what you should do! ;)

@grabberblue2010 Sorry you're bummed about 30 months. It's perfectly normal to feel sad.
@jackiemarie1989 If it makes you feel better, I never temp during AF because my AF temps don't provide an accurate baseline, anyway (temps can be super erratic during AF). There should still be enough time between the end of AF and O to get a good baseline.

CD:7
