  • @BusinessWife - (Re- Waiting 3dpo) Yes there you go. You totally put my thoughts into readable words much better. LOL. Your an adultier adult than me today.

    I have thought about it. I was going to go back through some of the posts today and see what everyone has been doing. You would *think* I would have been taking note of all of it so I would have to info on hand. But nnooOOooOOooOOOoo. (Lazy slacker really, tbh). I am really interested in that RRLT? that everyone has been raving about. And some other vitamins. I figure it wouldn't hurt. And maybe gain some kind of control just as you said.

    @GrabberBlue2010  Are you taking a prenatal vitamin at least?  with DHA?  I would say that is a good place to start.  RRL tea is good and not too expensive.  There's some debate over its safety in 1st tri and then people usually like to bring it back for 3rd tri.  I have also read that it's basically safe any time of your cycle or pregnancy, but for those folks who may have a reason to be extra-cautious of MC, I think they will stop the RRL tea once they get a BFP, or even once they confirm O!  (Although I think the latter may be a bit overkill, again, unless you had a history of MC and were had reason to be concerned about that.)  I have heard good things about Maca, and while I do not take it personally, I do give it to my DH along with his other vitamins/supplements, so if your DH is not yet on a multi, this would be a good time to start!  (and/or add extra vitamin C/E or L-carnitine, if he is already taking a multi.)

    CoQ10 is also wonderful for both of you, but can be on the pricier side.  My doctor recommends QuNol. So I would say if you really want to start adding a couple things again, more in the spirit of good health, prenatals for you with DHA and a multi for him, and CoQ10 for both would be Awesome!  I think the Maca is maybe not as spendy as some of the other supplements out there, if you want to do some research on that. And since you know you may struggle with irregular/long cycles, I might consider looking into Ovaboost, by Fairhaven health.  Again, not exactly cheap, but cheaper than seeing the RE and if it were to help your eggs get in gear and your cycles regulate a little, that'd be great!
    <img title="Image: https://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Bill-Lumberg-Uh-Yeah-Office-Space.gif" src="https://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Bill-Lumberg-Uh-Yeah-Office-Space.gif" alt="">

    I would just caution, you don't worry about adding everything at once, because then you also wouldn't know what, if anything, is making a difference, kwim?  Like if you just wanted to add the CoQ10 and RRL/Green teas this cycle or even for the next couple and see how that goes... then maybe think more about the Ovaboost?  Whatever small thing(s) you feel like trying that helps you get the a happy-place, that's what you should do! ;)

    I take Qunol brand CoQ10 daily, along with DH, just once a day, all throughout the cycle. ;)  FX for some constructive stuff at the RE and helpful test results... (((hugs)))

    WAYDTGKU: The plan is to HIO as much as possible between now and the time AF should show up. I have decided I am not getting the hang of tracking yet so we have decided to just assume I am ovulating for the next 20ish days and see what happens. DH is very much on board with this plan. I have been googling CM like crazy and I am trying to figure all that business out. I probably should have started working on this 7 months ago when we started TTC.

    R/R:I don't even want to think about the next month. We literally have something going on every weekend between now and mid September. We both work all week and I like to have a day to rest at least once a week. I won't survive.

    CS/Q: How long did it take you guys to get the hang of temping and checking CM

    GTKY:  It's Monday... what are you looking forward to this week?.... Friday
  • @Businesswife thanks for the gif-hug (made me LOL). And that's what we did last cycle with coq10, but just wanted to make sure we were doing it right! The RE is actually the one who "prescribed" it for H and the nurse mentioned they have their IVF patients take it also so I figured I might as well join him.
    @ladymillil Oh my--good luck with your cat! (and the move!)
    @momtoleo I'm laughing about your tortilla with cheese comment because I, too, have not visited the grocer in quite some time and just this morning I was wondering what I could even eat for lunch and I was like, well, there's always a quesadilla!
    @linzrunz We're CD buddies again! And I'm so excited that your kitchen will be finished--mostly because I am dying to see before and afters!
    @delujm0 Sorry about CD1.

  • @linzrunz  Hey!  Looking forward to seeing your kitchen transformation, too!

    @bswishe4 If you can find a way to temp consistently at the same time, that helps a LOT.  I got the hang of it after a few cycles, but I started to learn more about CM later on...

    @momtoleo  You can definitely get fertile cm while AF is still on her way out.  I I'd very early for me, on CD11 two cycles ago, and this cycle is also shaping up to be a bit early for me.  By CD4 I had creamy CM while still spotting, stretchy cloudy/clear on CD7 and peak reading today on CD12.  You know what they say...
    if you see EWCM,

    @BusinessWife temping is the hardest for me. I can't wake up at the same time every day and setting an alarm for the middle of the night just makes me super cranky. I am getting slightly more consistent but have a long way to go lol. I am hoping I can pin point more with CM since that I can control a little more. Also - Thank you for explaining more about when to switch over to TWW I have been up in the air about when to post where and this helps clarify for me.

    Edit because only half of the response went through

    @Westy99 thanks! I just hate that it was my own fault.
    @LadyMillil Do you give your cat anything to help with travel?  I'm moving mine in a few weeks but by car.  It's a 4 hour drive and they've never been in a car for more than like 30 mins.  I'm so nervous.
    @ahrains is it bad that when the eye dr said you can't wear contacts for a week or so, my first thought was not oh wow I f'ed my eye being silly, but more like how do I function in summer without sunglasses?
  • @RedBreast35 I can't wait to hear all the things about your initial RE appointment - mine is next month and I'm already crazynervousexcitedanxious!

    @Kim41313 Welcome to the community! I would suggest you take it when you first wake up and have slept for 3 hours. If you use Fertility Friend it will give you an open circle for that but it is likely more accurate than at your normal time without 3 hours of sleep. You can also try taking it at both times for a while and see how your body handles it.

    Edited to add some things.

  • @hezzer78 - I am going to try and stick to it as much as possible. I have shopped off the allow food lists. It seems like I require more protein in my diet to lose weight. So I think I am going to have to go off trial and error this first round. I am NOT good at cooking, so that also plays a huge factor in my success. Normally if I cook something and it tastes awful I give up. lol.

    @BusinessWife - Thank you for all the wonderful info! I have written it all down. I think I will start with the tea and the CoQ10. And then progress from there. I do take pnv with dha, so at least I have that going for me. lol. I have tried maca before and why I stopped I dunno. I will have to start back up again. I can mask it easily in something. As always...

    @ahrains - hot damn I would not survive those kind of hours. I would die. Actually, I would be living in a box house cause I would have quit. Hell, I have thought about it in this current situation.
