I found some art on pinterest that I liked for the nursery, but I didn't want to spend the money on it, so I redrew it myself and ordered it as a large photo. I'm pretty impressed with myself. I wish I was creative enough to come up with the ideas on my own.
@lovelylauren86 how's your crib skirt coming along? I started mine about the same time you posted yours and I am finally piecing the end of it. Forgot how much I hate gathering ruffles!
ETA: I just caught up on 100 posts in the nursery thread and saw your finished project. Gorgeous!

My mom has a really nice surger that Ruffles on its own! It made it way easier
Made this car seat canopy last week! Pretty pleased with it. Might end up making another one since we have another infant car seat attached to our jogger.

Nice! I bet that is super-handy!! I was lucky in that two of the three fabrics slid along the thread nicely while gathering. The blue one did not and I broke the thread twice. Not fun but now that it's all finished I'm happy. I'll post a pic soon. In the meantime, I'm feeling like...
@Steephers123 Thanks! This was the pattern I've used in the past. For the ears I stopped increases after row 1 and just did double crochet stiches in each.
@COmama87 thank you!!! I'm totally making one of these tonight! Or realistically sometime this week because I can't do anything in a timely manner anymore
@Steephers123 it's a pretty quick hat to make once you get going! Can't wait to see pics! Oh and for the bow I just did about 4 single crochet rows and cinched/wrapped the center with yarn...
Question... I ordered a few quote/prints off of Etsy. They were instant downloads, great deal. Problem is that the lettering is in gold (our nursery colours are coral, grey and gold), and when I print them they just look yellow, but I want them to have a metallic sheen. Does anyone know how to get this printed? I already asked Staples but they don't have any type of special paper. I know you can buy metallic printer paper (Staples didn't have any ), would that work?
@yellowrose314 You may need to send the file to a printer online or see if a print house near you has the capability of printing metallic inks. Xerox has a printer that can print them, but I doubt most places have them. Can you contact the etsy seller to see where they've printed theirs in the past? Maybe they have a good printer they can recommend?
eta - make sure you use a coated paper when you print. It will make the colors more vibrant and give a sheen. The regular paper will absorb more ink into its fibers and won't give the look you're going for.
Finally finished stitching on the binding of LO's quilt (although since I tied it, it's technically a comforter). I think this means my baby crafts are officially done - at least, until I start more of them

we have a lot of that color in the house though, it's my favorite. Just time for a change!
I know it's not super crafty but I'm proud of this! My mom & I painted the letters first her name and hung them up in the nursery today.
