41+2 and I'm being induced today. Came in this morning and luckily one of the midwives I've seen from my practice was on the floor and suggested to only have my water broken since she knows I wanted no intervention and to use the jacuzzi tub. They were just about to start the pitocin and then she came, so I'm hoping this was just meant to be. They broke my water and I had breakfast and now I'm starting to have contractions. They are coming about every 5 minutes, so I'm hoping this is all I'll need to start active labor.
I'm really impressed with this hospital, they are completely advocating for me and my desire for my birth plan, unlike my experiences in the past at different hospitals with my other two.
I'm ok at this point at however it goes, but it's nice that they seem to care.
So I went in for my induction Monday morning and was there until Tuesday night with no progress whatsoever. Decided to come home and rest as well as get that IV out of my arm that was causing so much swelling in my feet due to the fluids they pumped in me. This was my concern with inducing because I know I don't always react to medicines and this was a possibility. I'm going back in tonight and we will try again and I keeping my fingers crossed that things miraculously start to happen and this baby comes without having to resort to a c-s.
