    2.  What have your symptoms been like? They've been on and off. It's like every other day I'll get a nauseous feeling but not nearly as bad and mostly when really hungry.

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns
I've had a sore throat and cough since Thursday and none of the safe meds have helped at all. I got checked for strep and it came back negative. I'm visiting a friend and feel terrible that I'm miserable because of my throat. I can't even sleep it hurts so bad.

We have two sleeping beauties in heaven.

    1. 9 weeks 6 days.

    2.  I'm mainly just SO exhausted by 5pm. I typically feel great first thing in the morning so I get my workout in and do my normally daily activities with the kids. By dinner time? Im worthless!!! Im also noticing major moodswings. The nausea has subsided quite a bit, but I find myself still having to eat frequently to feel ok.

    3. I've been so cold lately. It doesn't make sense considering its 100 degrees outside, but I've been having to wear a sweatshirt inside. I so have hypothyroidism and my iron is sometimes on the low side...so maybe that's it. At last check my thyroid levels were great though.
  • 1. 12 weeks

    2.  Nausea is mostly gone, as long as I keep food in my stomach. I've started to get dizzy a lot when I stand up too fast, but TB says this is normal for 12 weeks. Emotions are a mess, exhaustion is holding strong, and boobs/bloat are ridiculous.

    3.  I'm just happy that I seem to be an early nausea loser. Hope the rest of you also see some relief soon!
  • 1. 10 weeks

    2. Nausea is finally gone! The first couple days, I was hesitant to get too excited. But now it's been about four days since I last threw up and felt like crap. Now I have an insane appetite and can't eat enough.

    3. My last appointmnet with my GP was at 6 weeks and I'll start seeing my OB at 16-20 weeks. I've had two losses, so I'd kinda like to have at least one more appointment in between but it didn't sound like that was part of the plan. How often are you ladies seeing your doctors?
  • 12w5d

Symptoms have seemed to calm down. The headaches are still pretty constant so that sucks. I'm starting to be able to eat which is nice!

Now that I have this new job, I'm starting to freak out a bit about telling that I'm pregnant. I will probably still wait a few more weeks but I don't want to wait too long - I'm a teacher and they will need to figure out a sub for me. I'm just really nervous, especially since I can be nonrenewed in the first five years without reason.
  • 1. 9 weeks
    2. Practically none! At first I had tender breasts and crazy dry mouth. Would wake up with cotton mouth as if I had consumed an entire bottle of wine the night before, but obviously I hadn't had any. I have only had very slight nausea and it usually seems to be because I'm hungry. Goes away if I eat something.
    3. I'm with you, TanyaG00. My first appointment isn't until 8/3 and I'll be almost 11 weeks. My sister has had two losses and with my lack of symptoms I'm worried something is wrong (I've posted on here before about this). I'm not sure when I'll see them after that initial appointment.
  • 1.  How many weeks are you?
    9 + 1

    2.  What have your symptoms been like?
I was having some pretty bad headaches, realized it was likely b/c of no caffeine, so I drank a coke. Thankfully just one mini coke every few days does the trick for me. Only coke though....very specific. hahah

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns
Nada. Just happy I found a way to get rid of the headaches! That was my #1 symptom with my son
  • 1.  How many weeks are you?
    10+3
    2.  What have your symptoms been like?
Throwing up very frequently. I had a good week now back to it and feeling bitter I got a tease of normal life
    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns
I'm at the hospital waiting on an ultrasound. I had bleeding and severe left side pain last night and they couldn't confirm a heartbeat with the portable. He said he thought there was one but it wasn't clear enough. Nervous as all get out.

    1.  How many weeks are you? 9+5

    2.  What have your symptoms been like? I AM SO HUNGRY.  So freaking hungry.  All the time.  A lot more fatigue in the last week after already feeling more fatigue the week before.  I'm sleeping more and sleeping harder.  Boobs are a little less sore, although they've definitely grown some more.  My emotions feel like they're pretty much back to normal - no random crying or grumpiness at all lately.

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns? I was actually able to lay on my stomach for a few minutes last night!  I hadn't been able to do it basically since ovulation because my boobs have been hurting so badly.  I'm naturally a stomach sleeper, so this has been really tough for me.  I know that before too long, I won't be able to do it because of my growing belly, so I'm just going to enjoy it while I can.

ETA @Babymakes5! thinking of you!  Be sure to update us when you can.

  • 1.  How many weeks are you? 9 weeks 4 days (so excited to be nearing 10 weeks)

    2.  What have your symptoms been like? My lower back just started killing me last night, right along the tailbone. OUCH!!!! Nausea some days, headaches, bad allergies, very tired, some insomnia, wacky dreams, emotional, sore boobs. Nothing horrible, but this back pain is driving me wacko! And the hunger just started setting in, like really hungry at 4 am....what's up with that? lol

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns - Is it normal for my back to just start hurting like this? It feels like my tail bone is pulsing, almost in my butt area, and it is uncomfortable sitting. I get paranoid of every little thing, first baby, so apologies.
  • @Babymakes5! Hugs hugs and more hugs!!!! You are in my thoughts hun!
@kelseycookies84 try not to worry. My symptoms come and go and my first appt (at 8 weeks) went great. Some ladies don't get bad symptoms and some do. We are all different.

  • 1.  How many weeks are you? 9w+5d (though measuring 10w based on U/S on Friday)

    2.  What have your symptoms been like? Terrible or non-existent.  There is no in between.

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns Doctor recommended Diclegis, but nothing is actually coming up (lots of dry heaving no actual hurling) so I don't think it's worth taking.  Thoughts?

    11 weeks

Newer ones are metallic taste in mouth, headaches, dizziness and numbness in extremities
Old ones still around are sick, sore boobs, extreme tiredness, really thirsty, extreme bloat, extreme moodiness, congestion, greasier skin, stronger sense of smell, sore and achy especially my back, shortness of breath, and crampy

Babymakes5! I hope everything is okay. JDW0325, a coke here and there makes me feel a lot better too, it really helps. Kelseycookies84, hope everything is fine for you too. Bdesterhouse I hope you feel better, sore throats are the worst.
  • 1.  How many weeks are you?
    11 weeks 4 days

    2.  What have your symptoms been like?
Not much nausea anymore, but boobs are getting sore again. It comes and goes. I'm super hungry and husband jokes around that I'm peeing like a pregnant lady just to pick on me lol. Boobs get the let down sensation.

    3. Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns
question!! My boobs have gotten the let down sensation since right before my BFP at 4 wks. It happens a couple times a week. Everytime I end up checking to see if I've sprung a leak but so far I haven't (thank goodness not ready for dealing with that mess). But I was wondering if anyone else gets the let down sensation yet??? This is my 3rd so I'm not sure if its just because I recognize the feeling or if it's just me getting the sensation.

Not much at the moment! I'm really hopeful we'll all be out of the first tri "ick" soon!

@Babymakes5! Praying for you! Keep us posted.
@MrsDramaK I would try the diclegis. I was tired for the first few days, but I got past it and it has been a life saver.
@BlondePeanut I have also been having random back pain. It is low, right by m

    Kswiger06, I'm getting it too
  • You're in my thoughts, @BabyMakes5!
  • @WinchesterGirl My concern is I'm not actually vomiting so maybe I'm unnecessarily medicating and I'm not sure the fatigue is worth it.

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns?
I'm having CVS on Thursday.  I'm an old bag so my dr suggested I do it.  Really nervous.  Any one else do it?

    2.  What have your symptoms been like? Fatigue is still very, very real.  And nausea comes and goes in waves, but luckily I haven't actually gotten sick much.

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns I'm so glad to see many of you feeling better, if not just for your own sanity, but because it means hopefully I'll get there too!

    2.  What have your symptoms been like? Still the same nauseous, sore boobs, and exhausted. Idk how much bigger my boobs have gotten but I decided to try and squeeze into my strapless bra so I could wear a dress that required one on Sunday and yea no way that could actually happen... I ended up just wearing a sports bra with the dress and wearing a cardigan over the top so you couldn't really tell.

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns We told DH's grandma yesterday and she was so excited. She started crying and then I started crying and then DH's mom started crying. Poor DH and his dad were sitting there like here we go again... I've been so emotional lately. DH and I went to see Star Trek Saturday and there was a chipotle short video before the previews and I cried my eyes out. Then we went to see Secret Life of Pets yesterday and the same short video was before the previews and I cried again... I never know whats going to set off my waterworks.

@MrsDramaK I'm like you I've been really nauseous but mostly just dry heave and only have actually had anything come up a couple times. I'm just toughing it out without meds, I try to not take meds unless absolutely necessary in general though.

    @Babymakes5! sending positive thoughts!

@TanyaG00 I saw my NP at 7 weeks and will see my doctor this week at 10 weeks. Then I was told I'll see him every 4 weeks until mostly through 2nd trimester then it'll be every 2 weeks and then every 1 week starting at like week 36. I'm sure every doctor is a little different so if you have questions as to why yours does things a certain way don't be afraid to ask them.

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns Had a pretty bad headache yesterday and found that Tylenol is pretty much useless. Glad to be feeling better this morning.

  • 1. 12 weeks tomorrow.

    2. Still a lot of nausea. Still not wanting a lot of food I used to like. I never liked high humidity and heat but it is much harder to deal with now.

    3. I really hope that 2nd trimester brings a lot of energy and takes away all the annoying symptoms. I know it can happen so I am hopeful.

@Babymakes5! Positive thoughts sent your way! I hope everything is ok.
  • @Babymakes5! Sending prayers!

    1.  How many weeks are you?
    10 today

    2.  What have your symptoms been like?
Pretty non existent lately and it's driving me insane!!! I feel like my boobs are back to "normal", my bloat is gone, my nausea is pretty much totally subsided, but I'm still super sleepy.

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns
Tomorrow is my first OB appointment and an US, I super anxious, nervous and excited. I feel like I just wanna close my eyes until I hear say someone say, "oh look at that little beans perfect heartbeat"!!

    2. Blump that doesn't go away, so I am tempted to begin calling it bump. Today the train wasn't running so I had to come above ground and grab a cab. It's SUPER hot and humid in the city today, and while waiting for the car, I almost, fainted, vomited and shat myself all at the same time. It was wondrous. Thankfully I was able to buy a water off a lady selling some on the sidewalk and survived til when the air conditioned car arrived. Other than that on again/off again nausea and headaches everyday now.

    3. SUMMER!!! I'm sorry, you've never been my favorite, and right now you are "killing me smalls!" Cooler weather is necessary STAT!

    1. How many weeks are you?
    9 wks

    2. What have your symptoms been like?
Sore boobs, exhaustion, nausea in the morning or whenever I let myself get too hungry, crazy dreams, horrible acne and ALWAYS HUNGRY

    3. Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns
This acne makes me look like I'm 13 again and is no longer containing itself to my face  :s
  • 8+5

frequent nausea and having the most revolting taste permanently in my mouth that makes almost every food I am able to eat taste gross. Every smell makes me dry heave and gag. I'm still walking around with tissue shoved up my nose. Still vomiting on occasion. Fatigue. Gas. weird dreams.

rant" when I initially talked to my midwife about my nausea/vomiting, she gave me reglan (which did nothing) and said if it doesn't get better we will move on to Zofran. I asked about things I've heard about birth defects, and she was reassuring saying in 20 years of prescribing it she has never seen a baby w/birth defects. however, when I called last week in desperation due to uncontrolled gagging and vomiting that is making it hard to function, a nurse I spoke to went on and on about how it can cause birth defects and should be avoided during the 1st trimester, but then proceeded to prescribe it for me. So I picked it up but have not used it because I don't wanna chance something going wrong w/baby. I just hate how I received such conflicting info and attitudes regarding it!

  • 1.  How many weeks are you?
    13 according to last U/S

    2.  What have your symptoms been like? Miserable. I still throw up a dozen times a day unless I'm religious about the zofran regimen. But then I can't poop and that's just as uncomfortable in the long run. I just miss food and being able to keep it down. Oh! Also, hiccups while getting sick is a terrible, terrible combination--my lungs still hurt from that one!

    3.  Rants/raves/questions/comments/concerns
I'm just thankful for my hubby. He goes out of his way to make things better for me and comes to sit with me between bouts of getting sick. He plays with my hair and rubs my shoulders to calm me down and keep me sane during the worst of it all.
  • Glad to hear @Babymakes5!  :)

  • @Babymakes5! That's great!
  • 1. 10 wks 3 days

    2. dizziness and nausea most of the day which I think is caused by staring at a computer all day for work because I'm better on weekends. some pain in my uterus from Strawberry stretching out in there. crazy vivid dreams and a bedtime of 830 or 9 every night-- so wiped! ready for 2nd tri and hopefully more energy.

    3. Rants/ Raves
    a. omg it is too damn hot! heat index of 116 yesterday-- I almost passed out. Strawberry and I took it easy the rest of the day.
    b. went to my 1st midwife appt last week and my midwives wouldn't do a doppler bc they said they might not hear a heartbeat this early and they didn't want to freak me out!!! I said I didn't want to wait until 14 weeks for a heartbeat so I get to go in for an early quicky ultrasound this week-- so much better than the doppler!
  • 1. 9 weeks 2 days
    2. I am sooooo tired. I don't know what I would do if it wasn't summer vacation. I seriously sleep 12 hours at night and then nap during the day while my kids get way too much electronic time :(
    3. This is just a random but I'm glad I'm starting to feel better. I still can only eat about 3 things... But I'm thankful I'm no longer throwing up all day. My last pregnancy I was sick all day every day until 22 weeks so I'm trying to be thankful even though I'm still nauseous and miserable.

  • @Rachelbd, the deal with zofran is that it was considered safe for a long time (took it the whole pregnant when I had my daughter in 2010. Then, a study came out saying it causes birth defects - specifically heart defects. But a new study came out not much longer saying there wasn't a strong enough connection, because those defects are among the most common anyway. So, feel free to read up, but I am taking it again this time based on the current info!

And honestly, reglan scares me much more. There are a lot more side effects with that one - for you not the baby. But at one point I couldn't feel one side of my face and my midwife told me to stop it right away! It also doesn't help much with nausea.. Just keeps the food in your stomach so you don't throw it up. Good luck!!! I know how much it sucks :(
