  • Yesterday I went to the store to only get stuff for dinner and to make brownies (for real this time). and bananas, watermelon and queso just fell into my cart.

  • @cjs260 I made the mistake of taking my honeymoon when I was 10 weeks pregnant with e. That was a fucking nightmare. Kate McKinnon isn't my style, maybe it's her voice...it doesn't do it for me.
  • I was a little late to work this morning, because I stopped at Starbucks for caffeine. I want to feel more little baby kicks!

It's just an unsweetened green tea lemonade. I'm not trying to go crazy over here. Also I bought a marshmallow dream bar for this afternoon. I debated buying another one to eat on my way to work, but I resisted the urge.

I watched the Republican National Convention last night. I love Donald Trump and I pray he wins the presidency.

MMMM this sounds so good.  I was debating making brownies this weekend, now I'm definitely making them.

I bought a u shape body pillow the other day and have been continuously lounging, sleeping, and working from my pillow nest whenever I'm home.

My husband is just rolling with it. I love him.

@cjs260 Kate McKinnon was everything in Ghostbusters
  • @aishmc I bought a snoogle the day after my husband left on a work trip; he's been gone for a week and the snoogle and I have been enjoying having the bed to ourselves... I don't know how much space he's going to have when he gets back... whoops!
  • @canavara oh man, having the furniture just opens the floodgates, so be prepared. I'm just so flipping excited; I need to remind myself that "hey, people are throwing you a baby shower, maybe you should leave stuff on the registry for them..." but they're all just so stinking cute!!!
  • @canavara OMG that shark robe.  <3

  • I just bought a double city select and a Tula today. My husband may change the locks.
  • @ThePax89 Oooh, please let us know how you like the Tula; it's one of the finalists in my SSC list, along with the Gemini and Lillibaby.
  • I should be packing since we're taking a trunk full of stuff to our storage unit tomorrow, but instead I'm watching tv and texting my parents (who are spending the day at Disneyland with my son), with boxes all around me so that when hubby comes out of his office (he works from home), it looks like I'm doing something productive.

Hey, yeah- City Select. A necessity? I want a mountain buggy duet but a lot of twin moms say to get a front and back AND side by side option, and there's a huge sale on Baby Joggers on pishposhbaby.c today.... I have one in my cart but I'd never really looked at it before...
  • @TinaBelcher I'm strictly speaking about my circle of friends. Had a friend of mine (who is white btw) that said he is now more afraid of cops than criminals or terrorists. I'm sorry, but that is plain ignorant.

I believe there are many wonderful people associated with the BLM, but I also know that the media is the devil and they do whatever they can to cause controversy and spin the stories the way that will get more ratings.

  • @mommywesley It really feels like the media is making everything so much worse. There's no such thing as unbiased reporting anymore and that's really frustrating.
  • I fully believe the voting system is crap and our votes don't truly count. When a state gives it's delegates to the runner who LOST that's it for me. And that happened multiple times this year. It happened to Cruz and it happened to Sanders. These two puppets were chosen by the establishment. And now we have psychotic followers on both sides who were slamming these 2 candidates a few months ago. Not saying if you vote for either of them you're psychotic...lol its just me at my end of the line with it. I can only vote for so much evil before calling quits and sadly I've reached my limit.

lol yeah that's not awesome, as a white man he's the most privileged in the world- he should definitely sit down
  • Oooh, I've got another one! I've spent way too much time today putting together my playlist of "non-lullaby lullabies" - AKA sweet soft songs I love that I will be singing to wee ones that aren't considered lullabies. There are a great many Tragically Hip songs, in honour of their farewell tour that is kicking off tonight...

Do you guys have any songs that you'll be using like that?

(For those of you who don't know, which is most of you, I assume, The Tragically Hip is one of the "peak Canada" bands around, and their lead singer was diagnosed with terminal cancer recently, so this tour is... high stakes, emotionally speaking. Fellow Canadians, favourite Hip song?)

@poetryandoceans along those lines, H has decided that instead of playing classical music to my belly we'll play death metal (mathcore) instead because it's all mathematical and should produce the same (disputed) effect, no?

(Help me. I hate metal so much.)

@poetryandoceans I heard "Your Song" on the radio the day before I took my pregnancy test and cried. Ever since I had my BFP, I always play the song during my commute to/from work. I also sing songs from our relationship/wedding to the baby (our wedding song was "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson). And I guess this is fitting for FFFC - I LOVE Britney Spears. This baby has probably heard "Someday (I will understand)" too many times.

ETA because TB likes to eat my posts.

I usually start with traditional lullabies and when that doesn't work I move on to gentle Disney songs like "You'll Be in My Heart" from Tarzan and gentle pop songs like "Your Song" by Elton John.  Funny story - one night I decided to try "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic and DD stood straight up on my lap, dug her head into my shoulder, and did the Titanic pose! Lol

@ThePax89 I bought a Tula when I was only like 8 weeks (ftm) and had it shipped to the US from Ireland! My husband thought I was nuts. I had to have that certain pattern of course, and it couldn't wait!

Okay.............. And I'm appalled that anyone would want Hillary Clinton for president.
@karaelaine1991 I completely agree with you in terms of this nation turning away from God. Liberal democrats and atheists are destroying this country on every level. But that is absolutely the last of what I will say on this issue, because beside my MIL, there is little else that infuriates me more.
And lastly, I completely 100000% support our police officers. Anyone who has something hateful or negative to say about them can go sit on a red hot poker.

Edited because I submitted too soon
