Just left the OB with my induction on the books for Sunday night; I'll be 39+6. I'm still hoping I'll go into labor on my own before but it doesn't look hopeful. This was never my first choice, but I keep reminding myself that plans sometimes change, and what matters at the end of the day is a healthy me and my healthy baby.

Mine is Sunday morning. I'm hoping for the same thing, but with it being only a few days away I'm feeling like Sunday it is.
Wishing all you ladies the best with your inductions. If it helps my induction went really smoothly for the most part and my water was able to break naturally once my contractions got strong enough. Hoping all your inductions go well!
I'm starting the process of induction now. Was never expecting this, but my labs came back and I've been given a pre-eclampsia diagnosis. At this point I feel so sick that I'm excited that something is being done. Trying not to think too far ahead about what induction may bring (vs labor starting on its own).
Good luck @megstervt! For what it's worth, my induction went smoothly even though I was only at 1cm. I had 3 rounds of cytotek and went to 5cm before pitocin. You can do this!
Without having any issues, what's the earliest anyone has asked to be induced? I know baby will come when baby is ready but I think I may just lose my mind before then. I've an appointment at 40+3 (Wednesday) and want to mention it then but I don't know should I wait a few more days to see if baby comes on his own.
@LF93 I didn't ask, but my doctor was going to induce me yesterday at 39+4. The hospital was booked up so I couldn't, but I felt like that was kinda soon considering I didn't have any complications. She also told me she wouldn't let me get to 41 weeks. I'm not sure if that's because he's been measuring ahead 2 weeks almost the whole pregnancy or not.
@setosh Yeah I've had no complications either so that's why I'm 50/50 about saying anything. I've been measuring ahead 1.5 weeks since about 32 weeks so that wouldn't be a concern to them either. I'll just have to ask come Wednesday, I'm just super annoyed that my own doctor wont give me a sweep to try get things moving. I'm so ready to have this baby and I've tried everything to get things moving naturally.
With my doctor they plan to induce 10 past due date. Measuring large for gestational age alone is not normally a reason unless you are greater than 95th percentile in a series of growth scans because the weight estimates are often inaccurate. I was 40w3d when we started my induction and he had been measuring 98th percentile (and consistently over 90th since 27w).
My doctor won't discuss induction before 41w, but it seems to vary widely between providers. I pushed it off because I have been feeling good physically, though a little unstable emotionally with all the waiting.
So as if I wasn't nervous enough I get a phone call this morning at 5:30 saying the hospital is full and I can't come at 7:30 for my induction. Now I'm waiting for a call back as to when to come in.
@setosh that stinks!! I am sure you are just sitting on pins and needles!
Yes I am! Still no word yet. Not sure if when they do call it will be in advance like "come in a few hours" or if they'll say go ahead and come now. I guess it gives me time to rest, but I'm definitely not relaxing.
@setosh Hopefully they don't leave you waiting to long, you were probably all geared up ready to go and then this. Still very exciting that it's happening soon

I hope so, too! Yeah I've already taken my shower, hospital bag is by the door and I ate breakfast. Guess if nothing happens soon I'll be eating lunch!
I broke down and gave L&D a call. They said they have made a little progress, but there's still a few ladies ahead of me. Looks like I'll either be getting a phone call later tonight or tomorrow morning. Thanks for all the well wishes!
@setosh hang in there!! That's exactly what happened with my induction lots of calling and waiting. I hope they're able to get you in today! Fingers crossed all goes well!!!
@kellyj103 I didn't even think that this would/could happen! Not too happy, but the end is in sight! And at least I'm not the only one since I'm on a list.
@elldel I hope so! We do have the same due date after all!!
Was scheduled for 9pm so I called at 8, they said call back in an hour. Before I could call back they called me saying to call at 730am. Oh well...guess I'm in the waiting game, too. Good luck to you ladies being induced tonight!!
Everything has been going fine. The contractions were way too much for me to handle on the pitocin so after about 4 hours I opted for the epi. Also I had only dilated a cm since I arrived. Currently I'm at 7 cm so it looks like it shouldn't be too much longer! Good luck @crixiegirl!!
