I'm distracting myself right now so I'll jump in on the fun questions
Some fun questions for the group: 1. Do you already have baby names picked our or discussed? Yes, one for a boy, one for a girl, first names anyway. They're both family names on my side, which is odd because usually we end up doing stuff his family's way. Middle names are still up in the air because my family has a middle name tradition, but if we followed it for a little girl we wouldn't be thrilled with the resulting name.
2. If I might ask...how old are you? 32.
3. What did you do this weekend? We went away for the weekend, which was awesome. Saw some friends, went sightseeing, stayed in a beautiful hotel, just had some nice time to ourselves without house chores and family nonsense and all the other crap you deal with at home.
4. Do you have pets? A cat, my little furry girl who's fat and lazy and awesome. And DH has a fish tank that's actually way more work than people ever think fish would be. We're hoping to get a dog in the next year or two, just have to decide what kind of dog we want.
@Toby102008 I agree about the BFP. Even if I knew it was just the trigger, I feel like that would mess with me a bit. You'll have to let me know what you decide. On another note, these Clomid Crazies are no joke. I don't think my mood is different (although DH says I'm being more needy) I had the WEIRDEST dreams last night. I feel like I'm exhausted from just dreaming all night. Anyone else ever have that?

You ladies are hard to keep up with! I've been super swamped at work and haven't been posting much, but I've been lurking when I can
I am so anxious for my U/S today and am crossing my fingers that all looks good and we can do the IUI on Friday! This time around has been so different than my first IUI. I haven't gained as much weight and I'm not in as much pain like before. I'm curious to see how my follies are doing!
1. Do you already have baby names picked our or discussed? Yes. DH thinks I'm nutty because I have a huge list that I add to whenever I hear something I like or I cross off names if I find out someone else I know has used it.
2. If I might ask...how old are you? I am 27 and DH is 30
3. What did you do this weekend? This past weekend I went with my family to a wine festival/fundraiser. It was the first time I had ever been to such a thing and it was really fun!
4. Do you have pets? We have 3 fur-baby pups. Two pitties and one German Shepherd and they are such handfuls!
@kaityh1 good luck today! And I do the same thing with my list of names, glad I'm not the only one
@Isthisthereallife I didn't have any crazy dreams while on clomid, but I had awful insomnia so I wasn't sleeping much. Femara was better for me because I was actually able to get some sleep while on it.
@kaityh1 good luck! fx for some good follies!!! @Isthisthereallife@jkd2388 I seemed to be mostly ok on Clomid, only a few mild breakdowns. Its the progesterone/estrogen that is affecting me more.. I get soooo tired!!!
@kaityh1 Good luck today, let us know how it goes.
@isthisthereallife I think my problem on the Clomid was that I was being needy too. Then when I wouldn't get my way, or whatever, I would get really upset and either start yelling or crying, or both. I was a hot mess. Never noticed any weird dreams or anything. The Femara has been much better for me, except with the increased dose I've been exhausted the past few days. All I want to do is sleep. Yesterday I got someone to cover my shift at work and I slept until 2 in the afternoon!
I've been doing Gonal-f injections for 9 days, still have 2 more days of injections. I am triggering on Friday and then timed intercourse, since we had a planned trip. It's not ideal but we are going for it. I have 2 good follies and one that may grow a little more. Unfortunately, I don't have many follies so if this doesn't work then the doctor is worried I may not have many eggs for IVF. That being said, my best friend only had 3 follies, transferred 3 and one stuck so there is still hope in my mind!! I'm just so happy I am even stimulating since the doctor was concerned it wasn't possible based on my numbers. I'm at Navy Medical Clinic which is not easy to get into - it's all covered 100% but there's a waiting list for IVF. So they wanted to try an IUI cycle first. Who knowns, maybe this will work!

@mandasand Good luck. Hopefully with your 2 possibly 3 follies, timed intercourse will be all you need. It's a good sign that you are stimulating. Again, good luck and fx for you.
@mandasand Good luck!!! You never know, maybe the TI will be the trick!! It's awesome that the IUI's are covered. Is the waiting list long?
@Toby102008 Luckily no blow ups for me, I've just been more affectionate I guess. I did briefly get upset because I express my undying love for him and he responded with, "you're pretty". But I think I was just having a moment. LOL
Sounds like everyone was "OK" with clomid but that Femara seems better. I'm just so anxious for the U/S tomorrow!

@jkd2388 Yes, so hard to wake up in the morning... Also, Im getting some pregnancy symptoms that i never ever get & its messing with my head! I need to keep reminding myself its the progesterone thats making me feel this way...
@isthisthereallife Lol "you're pretty" That's great! I'm so anxious for tomorrow too!!!! Like extra anxious now that I had bad news last week. I did a home opk today and nothing so I really really hope they are close to being ready tomorrow.
What size do they have to be at to trigger? I've always heard mixed takes on it so I'm very curious as to what everyone's REs say.
I hear you! I try not to symptom check because these hormones mess with you. But the doctors office told me this morning when I went in for progesterone blood work that it's normal for the progesterone to make you sleepy. Just have to keep reminding myself it's all going to be worth it someday!
@Toby102008 ive been wondering the same thing. when i went in for my ultrasound my follies were 13, 13, 14 & 17. I triggered the next night & had my IUI 36 hours later... so hopefully they grew a little. I kind of thought they were a little small to trigger, but Im trying to trust that my re knows best..
Good luck to everyone moving ahead. I think tomorrow is a big day for several of us!
As for me, I totally f'd up and didn't take my dose of Clomid on Monday night. I noticed that it was still in the bottle as I was going to bed last night. I had my injection of Menopur at 7 pm and just went ahead and took the dose of Clomid too. I take so many pills, it's hard to keep up. I even had it on my calendar... I was so frustrated with myself last night... just felt disappointed that I didn't keep up with what was probably the most important pill to take! UGH. Fortunately, DH helped talk me off the ledge...
We'll see soon enough what the results are!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!! And please update us! Nothing major for me tomorrow.. just another day to wait
Have any of you asked (or has your doctor recommended) BD in addition to the procedure, or are you all abstaining during the fertile window? I am going to ask tomorrow, but was curious about the group.
I feel like it couldn't hurt, right?!

@fivetimesnoluck my dr had us BD the night of the trigger & then abstain until the IUI. She also said it wouldnt hurt to BD the night of the IUI & the morning after (but we didnt do get a chance too)
@fivetimesnoluck Don't feel bad, I only took 2 Femara instead of 3 the one day because that's what I took the first time. Realized it the next day and just took 4 the one day. Hope it was alright because that's what I did. Also, we plan on BDing like crazy the night after IUI. And probably the next day. It can't hurt to get as many little guys in there as possible. One of them has to find there way! I was joking with my friend that if I finally do ovulate that DHs sperm should be so excited to finally find an egg that it has to latch on and never let go! Its been waiting 2 years to find that egg so when it finally does it better hold on for dear life! But we're waiting a day or two up until IUI, just so he has good numbers. The first SA he did his count was a little low and I think it's because we were fooling around the night before. So we want to be sure he has a good count. I will definitely ask her what she thinks though when it comes time to trigger.
@kristynelson13 I'm hoping she'll trigger me if I'm anywhere over a 16. Some people have said 16-18 when on oral meds. But then I hear others say 18-20. We will find out tomorrow I guess. I should have asked last week, but with everything going on I totally forgot.
Good luck ladies. Ill be getting on as soon as I know what's going on tomorrow and am hoping for good news for all of us! Fx!
@jkd2388@kristynelson13@Isthisthereallife@Toby102008 Thanks, ladies!! My appointment went great! I have 6 follies but only 2 are mature at 20 and another one semi-mature at 18! I was instructed to only take half of my trigger shot in hopes that only the mature two would release. We got the "multiples talk" from the nurse and DH's face was priceless! You could tell it was all finally becoming "real" for him lol. I triggered last night and we go in Friday morning for the IUI! I feel really good about this one but am trying not to get my hopes up too high.
@Toby102008 Thank you! As for follicle size, during my last medicated cycle, my largest follicle was only an 18 when they had me trigger. This time with the two 20's, I could definitely tell a difference in the nurse's confidence.
@fivetimesnoluck Don't be hard on yourself! You're only human and we all make mistakes. I'm sure everything will be OK for you!
For any of you that monitor your temp during a medicated cycle, when do
you typically see your temp spike after trigger? I expected to see it
today but it did not. I am guessing it will tomorrow and can't remember
what the timing was during my last cycle.
*edited bc "DH's husband" doesn't make a whole lot of sense..lol
@kaityh1 That's great news! Good luck with the IUI on Friday.
Big day today! Sending lots of positive vibes to everyone!!
Unfortunately, my U/S didn't go well. Nothing substantial on my right side and 2 on my left measuring at 12.5. RE wants them to be 18.5 at least. Waiting for the nurse to call with next steps.

@kaityh1 Good luck tomorrow! It's such a balancing act: having hope, but not too much! I get it.
As for me, we have one good size follicle - 21mm x 25mm, which Doc believes is big enough to trigger tonight. IUI will be scheduled for Saturday! OPK is still really faint, but he doesn't want the follie to get too big so he is going to move us ahead.
Cue the nerves!

So I have one follie at a 16.5! I go back Sunday and she said it should be ready to trigger and we will do the IUI Monday! This is the best news I've had since we started this whole process. I know one follie isn't the greatest, but one is really all we need. I'm just happy I responded to the Femara and don't have to move to costly injectables. If it doesn't work she said next time we will do 7.5 to start with and do it for 7 days instead of 5. But fx this works! Like I said before, DHs sperm should be so happy to finally find an egg it should latch on and never let go!!
That's great news @Toby102008 and @fivetimesnoluck!! Good luck on your IUI's!! Sending you lots of positive vibes and baby dust!!

fx for all you ladies.. Lots and lots of baby dust
Such an exciting day!!! Glad that there were some good follies.
The nurse called and said that I should inject 50cc of Gonal-F tonight and then back for an ultrasound in the morning. She doesn't want me going the whole weekend without seeing what it does....so fingers crossed.

@Isthisthereallife I also was crazy on clomid! This is my 4th cycle with it and it definitely gives me hot flashes and makes me sensitive, cry easily, quick to anger, and a little headachey.
Some fun questions for the group: 1. Do you already have baby names picked our or discussed? We've had fun talking about them, but mostly we've ruled names out, we don't have that many contenders. Maybe a girl name or two. 2. If I might ask...how old are you? 32 3. What did you do this weekend? We had a BBQ housewarming party! Friends, family, and coworkers came. We made way too much food, so I've been eating leftovers all week. 4. Do you have pets? Yes, 1 cat. He's our baby!
I'm from NJ and live in PA outside Philly.
@fivetimesnoluck that's so adorable that you guys watched homeward bound! I haven't seen that since I was a kid but I remember it was such a sweet movie, I think I saw it in theaters actually.
@kristynelson13 how is testing out the trigger going? I haven't ever done that but next time I think I will. What day does it usually go away?
congrats @Toby102008 , good luck on your IUI on monday!
Thanks, everyone. I am nervous, but also excited to have a plan. I definitely appreciate all the good vibes, prayers and well wishes.
@Toby102008 I am excited for you to have a schedule! Yay for femara!
How about our upcoming beta testers - @Sasha29 and @SJG - how are you two feeling? Will you POAS before beta or wait it out? I am rooting for you both!
Also still wondering about @daboz - I think beta was earlier this week.
Big hugs to you all, wherever you are in the cycle.

Hi All, It is so freaking hot here...and we are barely hot compared to so many places right now. Land of no AC makes it a little extra intense when it finally does get hot.
TWW is going by...not fast enough. I have done a few tests here and there (since the test out of the trigger) and all have been BFN. No surprise. Other than that just busy working working working. I keep dreaming about floating in a lake but too busy at this point to do so...maybe Saturday.
lady_grey How is your tww going? Any fun plans for the weekend? Your bbq party this past weekend sounds like tons of fun!
Nice job fivetimesnoluck! Good looking follies! We usually BD the night of the day of the trigger and then the evening of the IUI (we didn't BD this night of the IUI).

Re: July IUI
Some fun questions for the group:

@Isthisthereallife I didn't have any crazy dreams while on clomid, but I had awful insomnia so I wasn't sleeping much. Femara was better for me because I was actually able to get some sleep while on it.
@Isthisthereallife @jkd2388 I seemed to be mostly ok on Clomid, only a few mild breakdowns. Its the progesterone/estrogen that is affecting me more.. I get soooo tired!!!

Fx!
Good luck to everyone tomorrow, can't wait to hear from everyone how it went!
@mandasand Good luck! Keep us posted!
For any of you that monitor your temp during a medicated cycle, when do you typically see your temp spike after trigger? I expected to see it today but it did not. I am guessing it will tomorrow and can't remember what the timing was during my last cycle.

@Isthisthereallife I also was crazy on clomid! This is my 4th cycle with it and it definitely gives me hot flashes and makes me sensitive, cry easily, quick to anger, and a little headachey.
Some fun questions for the group:
1. Do you already have baby names picked our or discussed?
We've had fun talking about them, but mostly we've ruled names out, we don't have that many contenders. Maybe a girl name or two.
2. If I might ask...how old are you?
32
@kaityh1 good luck with your IUI tomorrow!

It is so freaking hot here...and we are barely hot compared to so many places right now.
