Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday

  • My 40lb dog is a twatwaffle because she stepped on my already tender boob this morning with ALL OF HER WEIGHT! OWW!!!

  • @peachesnbean what a horrible thing for her to say! At a prayer group! My word.

My TW is "unnamed funder" who is challenging our billing rate six months into work on an agreement that they wrote and signed. My boss told me yesterday that this could sink us, that she's keeping an eye out for other jobs, and that we should do the same. FMLA is a twatwaffle for not kicking in for a year, forcing me to stay here and pray my job continues instead of applying for the open state employment position that I'm well qualified for. And H is a twatwaffle for drinking amazing beer in front of me. Not really. But a little.

The end. It's a grouchy day.
  • I am irritated at a client who was an hour late to showings on Saturday and then just canceled on me less than two hours before showings today.   She is looking in a price range that really isn't worth my time like this, and seriously, an hour late?

  • The FDA is pretty much ruining my life right now. Also the timing of my maternity leave is not going to work with their deadlines and I'm too type A to trust any of my employees to do what needs to be done without me babysitting.
  • My 40lb dog is a twatwaffle because she stepped on my already tender boob this morning with ALL OF HER WEIGHT! OWW!!!
How does a dog step on your boob?
  • @gingersnap I was sleeping on my back and she walked up next to me all stealth like and stepped on my boob. I think she was trying to lay on my chest, because that's what she does with my husband.

  • @peachesnbean - that woman is a twatwaffle who deserved to be put in her place!  Every pregnancy is different and you should never discount anyone's symptoms.

@Xstatic3333 - that sounds like a super sucky situation.  I hope it works out.

My mom lives on the 1st floor of a 2 family and her sister lives upstairs. My aunt freaked out on me and my kids saying they're not allowed to touch the outside/yard toys she has here for her grandkids when they visit. Asking permission first makes no difference because she said her grandkids toys are off limits to my kids. My mom would never dream of treating my aunts grandkids that way as they are welcome to use the toys that are here for my kids.

My FIL has a new GF and has reverted back to being 15 years old, never answering or returning calls from DH to try and arrange visits or just see how he's doing. The kids keep asking us why can't we see Papa anymore? His new GF seemed very nice when we met her too, she was so good with the kids so it's too bad. He also keeps plastering pics of the kids all over his FB page after we've repeatedly asked him not to and it just seems even worse now that he's no longer actively involved in their lives.
  • My toddler. She's testing me every day now. Lord, give me strength.
  • Your kids can't play with their (cousins?) toys??
  • @Jab3. What the actual F to your aunt..  Does she think the toys will break or something?
  • jab3-2jab3-2 member
fourPsinapod, I hear ya on that one! Mine aren't even toddlers anymore, but they're sure acting like it. They're driving me nuts. I feel bad for them for my lack of patience, but I also feel bad for myself hah
  • There are certain toys I put away when my nieces come over because they are SO rough on toys. I would never have things out and make them off limits though.
  • My 9 year old is becoming a tween. Almost every request is met with attitude or backtalk. I can't complain too much, because overall he's a really good kid, but there are those moments when I could stomp a hole in a child!

  • Everyone I work with!! I'm in a terrible mood today and they are all stupid. I am so glad I'm leaving in 30minutes to go to my first prenatal appointment and see my little tadpole for the first time.
  • I'm going to say all the people this week who have given me a hard time for eating unhealthily/not exercising.

    1. Morning sickness means I'm not able to eat as healthy as normal. Yes I've eaten some French fries, because they are magically MS-proof for me.
    2. I'm on pelvic rest again, and have been instructed by the doctor to stay off my feet as much as possible.
    3. When is it ever ok to try to guilt me for habits that I'm already upset about?!

Thankfully DH is the one person who is actually understanding. Everyone else...
People who comment on what you eat should automatically be given a snarky response.  The next time someone says anything about what you eat, demand a log of what they've eaten that week.

    I mean, I cannot even.

Gingersnap that's what my mom told her, if she doesn't want them touching the stuff it needs to go in the basement or something. She labels things too and tells my kids (who can't read) if it's not their name on it, they better not touch it. Oh man you guys have no idea, you should see her in action when all the kids are playing together. My kids try really hard to treat other kids toys with respect and are shockingly pretty good at sharing too (just not with each other!!) I don't get it. She's always been strange about things and very controlling, but the older she gets the worse she's getting. Off subject but she says to their other sister (my aunt who's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet) that she needs to "get over it" in regards to her grieving the death of my uncle. It's only been a year. And this coming from a woman who's husband does everything from her. And when I say everything, I mean everything.

OMMMMMG 9 is the worst. My house is the house the kids are always at and if they aren't in my house they're ringing my doorbell to complain to me about kids who aren't even mine. GO WHINE AT THEIR MOM! I have put my 9 year old in time out maybe like 2 or 3 times up until about 2 months ago because he's just a good kid but I have had to reinstate it and I have put him in time out like 3 times in the past week.

I'd write this aunt off completely after reading the bolded.

  • Yeah, @Jab3, that aunt would only get the bare minimum of interaction from me. That's horrible.

@WinchesterGirl from how nice you are around here I'm guessing it's not your style, but you are well within your rights to tell those people to shove it. I have no tolerance for people who treat pregnant women like children. Glad your H has your back!

Rachoochoo2 your MIL is weird. The picture thing is kinda funny, but the sunscreen thing not so much. Is she just oblivious or just doesn't care?
  • @WinchesterGirl I'm sorry people are in your business about what you're eating and stuff, that is totally not cool. If you want to give them some snark or tell them to shove it you're 100% within your rights. I too have found french fries to be a magical cure for MS. That and Pizza both go down really well while most other foods I struggle eating/keeping down. I'm not eating them every meal but yea I've eaten a bit more of both of those foods than I normally would and I'm not ashamed or worried.

  • I have two cousins who are both constantly trying to sell me stuff. One is makeup and one is Shakeology. It's particularly the cousin who is trying to sell me the shakeology that is really testing my nerves. If it works for you, I'm glad. I'm all for bettering yourself. But do not post on FB about how you can spend $200 at the grocery store and eat healthy. No excuses. Heifer, there are some people who are thankful that they can spend $50-$75 at the grocery store and feed a bigger family then you! Some people want to feed their babies better food, but right now hot dogs and chips are in the budget. Geez... She hit me up trying to sell me a sampler. $34 for 7 days of shakes. Get real. I kinda get this feeling that she's trying to tell me I'm fat.
  • This weather is my twatwaffle. Eff you, heat dome or whatever it is!

BumpasaurusRex I don't even look at her anymore and try to ignore unless I absolutely have to respond and then I'm just distant, but still civil. If my mom lived elsewhere which would mean I would never really have to interact with the aunt directly, you can bet I wouldn't have a thing to do with her. I have no problem cutting toxic people out. I haven't talked to my dad in almost 2 years now. I can't not visit my mom though because we would all be devastated. Between the way my FIL is acting lately and the fact that my loaded with drama, drug addicted and abusive MIL isn't in the picture either, my mom is the only grandparent left for the kids and they are extremely close. She sucks at coming to see us though so we give in and go to her all the time. Thus, we inevitably get stuck dealing with Auntie Psycho.

My BIL started selling itWorks this year and constantly harasses me with it. After my miscarriage in April he messaged me acting concerned for me only to try and sell me some kind of herbal mood improvement type thing.  I was very hurt.
Rachel, mama to Ava (6), Olivia (4), Nora (2), and baby#4 on the way.

  • @rachoochoo2 I sort of love your MIL, that's amazing.  how old is she?
  • My MIL. She kept my kids this weekend and when I told her I forgot sunscreen she assured me she had some. I didn't question but noticed my 2 year old looked slightly pink when I picked them up and my big two were extra tan. Found this bottle in my diaper bag yesterday. My 4 year old is so tan after this weekend that she looks like she is wearing a flesh colored swim suit when naked.
At least it had some SPF? Lol.
  • Thanks ladies you guys are so sweet! I just couldn't believe that people think it's ok to make negative comments on what I'm able to eat. I mean, if you had a stomach flu for the weekend, and you only wanted certain foods, no one would blink. Morning sickness can last months, and we all have to eat something... As long as we are doing our best to grow these babies, that is all we can do!

One of the commenters was a man, and his wife had zero MS with her pregnancy, so I think he just doesn't get it.

I'm just ignoring them. But it is very hard to hear people criticize, when there is so little we can control in this process.

@rachoochoo2 That is severely messed up about your BIL. I think you win worst MLM story.
Rainbow baby Dean is due 2/17/17!
