@sboston06 your ticker change matches mine! I've been saying this whole time that I am WAY too Type A & too much of a planner to be sitting around waiting for a baby to arrive...I'd really love to know when it is going to happen!
Your birth story sounds eerily similar to my delivery with DD. So glad you and LO are happy, healthy, and doing well. My best advice- get up and moving as soon and often as you can. I know it'll hurt like hell, but I swear it helps make recovery a little easier.
@samantha1206 good luck! I hope everything goes smoothly.
@Backbypopulardemand I'm so happy that everyone was ok. Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful little girl and best wishes for a speedy recovery!
@samantha1206 Congratulations! Glad it went nice and smoothly for you! @Backbypopulardemand Congratulations to you too, glad baby got here safe and sound!
@Backbypopulardemand you look great! Something similar happened with my LO and his heart rate, luckily he stabilized again once they repositioned me & gave me the oxygen mask. So glad everything turned out ok for you and your sweet girl!
I had a little unexpected ultrasound today. I went to the doctor's for my routine appt and non-stress test. The NST went well...plenty of accelerations and decelerations with a baseline heart rate in the 120's. But I mentioned that baby hasn't been moving as much today. I wasn't too concerned about it because some days baby is more active and some days less. But they did a BPP to be sure my fluid levels were ok and that baby was moving appropriately. The doctor said baby looks perfect and my fluid levels are just fine. It was nice to be able to see baby again, but I couldn't see much because baby was so big! The tech said he or she has a full head of hair I'm even more excited to meet baby now.
If you're looking for a great way to relax, this is the best bath I have ever had. I can't put into words just how relaxed and calm I feel. And my body, ahhhh it feels good. A few good handfuls of Epsom salt, 1/2 cup baking soda, and 10 drops of lavender essential oil in a tub full of hot water. I'm seriously going to start doing this once a week.
My mom trying to understand modern medicine/failing to remember anything about my pregnancy less than 2 years ago. She wants to know if the baby looks like it will be "on time." I'm 37.5 weeks, so not sure what she's looking for. I was induced at 41+4 with no signs of labor. Apparently she thought my water broke. Regardless, she's confident this baby will be on time. Thanks Dr. Mom.
@whataboutscience, I think its a mom thing, they just forget anything about the limitations of modern medicine. My mom seems to think my doctor can tell me the exact day the baby will be here and is getting frustrated that I won't give her an exact date so she could book her hotel.
My mom is the same. She had a planned cs with me since I was breeched and my brother was born on his due date. So she expects me to some how magically be able to tell her the exact date my baby will decide to join us. She has no understanding of the pregnancy waiting game. (If by some miracle this baby comes out on her due date, I am sure I'll never live it down.)
Even at the very end of pregnancy people are crashing the Tuesday Ticker Change. I truly don't know why you'd come out of hiding since April to post that you're "37+3" to a random ticker thread. And then disappear again probably until it's time to announce the baby arrived. But none of us know you at all.
I think I need to not be pregnant anymore. Too angry about dum dums and AWs

Congrats to all the new moms!!!!! I can't wait to join you guys
in other news, I just ate 10 Hershey's chocolate kisses....ooops. Apparently the first 6 weren't enough so I had to round it out with another 4. Fail.
