HELP! I had no idea there was a DTaP vaccination. DH went today to get his TDaP shot (booster) but was given the DTaP (vaccine). I know DTaP is an inactivated virus but I can't find anything about if it works just as well to protect against as the TDaP or if it may actually be detrimental to the LO once she's here. Anyone with experience or know if it's ok?
It's totally fine, just a little more of the diphtheria and pertussis portions of the vaccine. It will still act as a booster if he was already vaccinated.
Not sure where to stick this, so randoms it is. Did or has anyone experienced really sharp pain in their butt during a contraction? I had a membrane sweep today (39+4) and have been crampy and contractiony all day, but this sharp butt pain is new. And painful! I never had it with my daughter.
@ldsjm123 yep! A couple of times actually. Seems to be more common when I have one sitting down while driving (maybe the angle of my seat?). However if you had a membrane sweep maybe this is the start of something! Fingers crossed for you!
I was told my due date was July 7th at my 28 week ultrasound the tech told me she was measuring 2 days ahead. My OB said because it's only 2 days she still is going with the 7th which is the day I gave birth on.

I don't know if it was a contraction but after my sweep I got a weird sharp pain going into my groin/leg. This is my third and I never felt anything like that... Sounds kind of similar to the pain you are talking about.
I looked through the birth stories and didn't see any specificly answering my question...
When did you moms with babies already decide it was time to go in to the hospital? I've had consistent contractions all day and they're about 4 min apart and 50 seconds long at this point no matter what I'm doing. But in between contractions I feel fine. I just don't want to go in too early
ftr I'm 41+1 so I feel like they won't turn me away but who knows
ETA sorry I just realized this was last weeks randoms thread!
@AB34 - can you call your OB's office? My OB wants me to always call before going to the hospital unless it's an emergency, so they can give L&D a heads up when I go in. They might be able to give you a better idea, but I'd say you're probably pretty safe to head in now. Good luck!
@ab34 I would call your doc or even just go in! I felt like I waited too long. My contractions lasted all weekend but never truly got to the '5 minutes apart for an hour' rule I was told to follow. We went in and I found out I was dilated to 5 cm already!
Re: Weekly Randoms- July 11
edited for spelling

I I think we are heading in as soon as DH gets home in 30-60 min!
