@cabu14 I doubt @falcon1213 actually used the tea; she just seems to be selling it (and trying to shame people for taking zofran instead of this majestic and safe herbal tea). She's also pimping "mummy magic tea" for getting your body back after pregnancy!
Me 32 |DH 32 married 9/15 DD: 1/17/17 #2 due 7/26/20!
I am getting straight up sad with this whole deal. Nothing sounds good, and most things just come back up anyway. All I want is to feel somewhat normal again!
I am 11 weeks, and a few days ago my morning sickness suddenly got very bad. So on Saturday, I decided to give diclegis another try; I took one pill at 8 am, and my second pill at 8 pm. I fell asleep about an hour and a half after taking each pill (yes, 2 naps!), but getting through the day (and eating at a restaurant) was easier. However, the next morning, I had suddenly gained 2 pounds and was constipated, so I didn't take diclegis that day; the following morning, I lost one pound and was no longer constipated. Anyway, those were the side effects of diclegis in my situation. I try to only take medicine if it's necessary, so that's why I've been on and off diclegis.
I thought MS was getting better but it has come back with a vengeance. I felt so sick yesterday and today is not starting out well. We're going camping this weekend and I really want to be able to actually enjoy it.
@ashanne88 sorry to hear you are feeling ill again that's the same as has happened for me as i'm 12-1 I thought my look was in but I am throwing up again today struggling to keep tablets down. Raaargh this is so frustrating
I noticed this discussion has been silent for a while. How is everyone's morning sickness going? I am 13 weeks, but I am still feeling nauseous; now, it is not all day nausea, but it is still uncomfortable. I also have some intense headaches. Has everyone else's gone away?
Still struggling here, nothing nearly as bad as some of our mamas here or like my last pregnancy where I was puking multiple times a day, but the constant nausea and belching is just plain getting old. 13weeks on Wednesday and I am counting down the days to 2nd tri and praying it ends then...oh please let it end!
I'm 14w1d, and last week it really started letting up. I think I'm still nauseated pretty much all the time (particularly when I'm hungry but then also when I'm full, oh yeay) but it's soooooo much better than what it was that in my head in feeling 100% better (knock on wood!! I'm a little afraid to jinx it)
I'm 12+5 today and the nausea is still sticking around and the migraines have started. The puking has let up significantly, only one or two episodes a week. With my daughter I started feeling better around 16 weeks. So a month to go!
13+5 here. My MS has finally decreased to a level that lets me function. Like @tinabelcher I am still nauseous most of the time, but if I eat lots of small meals accompanied by a fizzy beverage, most everything stays down. I am trying *fingers crossed* to start weaning off my nausea meds soon. I still can't eat anything with onions, garlic, or meat, but even so, my options have opened up tremendously from applesauce and bread! My weight has finally stabilized and my OB is hopeful I will start gaining soon. But holy guacamole, the headaches have begun! I have always tended to have hormone and stress headaches and even migraines, but these are a whole other thing. They are nagging, in the inside top corner of my eyes. Not horribly intense, but just relentless! I don't think this one has gone away for 3 days.
@BAJDesigns@underthesea - I've been starting to have more frequent headaches, too. I'm a regular headache/migraine sufferer, and I actually got through the first 10 weeks of pregnancy with no headache - can't remember the last time I was headache free for 10 weeks!! But now, ugh, they're starting again, and I am finding Tylenol to be just this side of useless. If anyone has found any tricks for relieving headaches without access to my usual arsenal of meds, I'm all ears. I have a physio who specializes in headaches, but I've already hit my yearly limit, so it's all out of pocket... I guess baby costs are starting early...
@poetryandoceans so far the only thing that seems to help is putting a cold rag across my eyes. I have always gotten relief from tension headaches from my chiropractor but they are usually less helpful with hormone headaches. And I can only assume that's what these are. Someone today recommended to me something about a stick that you rub on you forehead? Not sure if it's a medicated thing or essential oil or what.
Tylenol is useless for me as well with these headaches. A moist heating pad on my neck or right over my eyes helps some. I need to try an ice pack but I hate cold.
Headaches are hitting me even though I'm only 10+3. Given I used prescription migraine medicines before pregnancy, Tylenol is useless but I still take it. I also will sleep on a towel wrapped hard ice pack and position it towards the base of my skull going down my neck. Then I drape a heated eye mask over my eyes and forehead. Sometimes if they're really bad I'll chew a couple Altoids which also calms my stomach. The combo of hot and cold helps me fall asleep but not take the headache fully away.
I am 11W+4D my nausea isn't necessarily getting better, but it's changing patterns. I'm not as consistently nauseous though the day, but I have getting harder waves of it and actually throwing up more. It's strange.... Counting down to the second trimester.... I haven't been losing weight, I am gaining, because it seems like I have to constantly eat to keep my nausea down...
13w5d and the headaches have started. Yesterday I had 4 and even in between they never went fully away. Plus fireworks did not help with the matter. Today the headache is back but have yet to take some Tylenol as I was trying to drink a bunch of water to see if it would help but so far no such luck. so far I have only tried Tylenol, water, and "pan away" yleo and seem to help slightly but not anything significant.
Migraine ladies- I started getting bright spots in my vision a couple days ago. It was the start of a massive migraine. Anyone else have vision disturbances?
@underthesea I've had two migraines during my pregnancy and it always starts with an aura. It almost feels like someone just took a picture of me with a really bright flash. Also I can't see LCD screens. There's a really bright, reflective glare. If I wasn't pregnant, it would be my first sign to take my prescription medicine.
I'm a lifetime migraine with aura sufferer (well, since the age of 7) and oddly pregnancy changed how I had auras. I used to get weird hallucinatory arcs of color that usually came about half an hour before the headache itself and things would start to get a little blurry along with it. Now, I just get this weird gnawing, buzzing burning sensation deep in my nasal cavity.
Having migraines is the worst. Having them with an aura is a mild blessing though--if you can, get to a dark, cool, quiet room as soon as you notice it (or at least out of direct sunlight or loud noise).
Sorry to hear about the headaches ladies! I've had a few but not that bad- hoping they ease up for you soon. Also hoping most of us are starting to near the end of this MS fun! Had a bit of hubby's Caesar salad last night (which lets be honest, barely counts as salad...at least how he makes it?) and it was the first green thing that stayed down in 5 weeks! Hoping that means I'll start craving and being able to stomach veggies again soon...
I started having migraines too! Of my three PG, this one is the most symptoms felt in the first tri. I started taking Meds for MS and now have been riding out the migraine waves. This is the pits.
Thankfully no migraines yet, but my all day sickness has kicked into high gear this week. I have been so sick this week, and so much puking. Zofran isn't helping. Unisom + B6 isn't helping. Reglan does nothing. I have my 12-week appointment on Wednesday, and I want to ask if there's anything else I can try. I just want to not feel hungover all day, every day and it would be lovely to not throw up every day too.
Anyone else still feeling sick?? I'm 13W2D it was fading at about 11weeks, then it just got soooo intense since then! I'm throwing up so much....
Anyone? Is there a light at the end of this tunnel?
I'm 14+4 and still feeling sick on and off. Mine also went away for a bit around 11 weeks and then came back. It's more manageable than it was at the beginning, but I'm definitely over it at this point.
It's worst for me at night now. I haven't actually thrown up all pregnancy - just severe nausea - but last night I thought I might vomit for the first time. Luckily I fell asleep instead. My midwife said it should get better around 15 weeks... Really hoping that's an accurate prediction.
I'm 14+4 and still dealing with constant nausea, headaches and puking every other day. I think I still have a month or so of this to go. That's about when it ended with my daughter.
I'll be 13 weeks on Tuesday and have been more sick than ever. It was mostly just nausea until 11 weeks and then the puke hit. Yesterday I couldn't keep anything down but liquids. Same thing happened to me with my first pregnancy, and unfortunately it wasn't until 16 weeks that the symptoms subsided. I'll definitely be talking to my dr about it tomorrow, but most likely just have to ride it out.
I have been pretty lucky, I am finally able to say I haven't had any nausea for over a week. Up until now I only got sick about 2 days a week and only vomited about once every other week, but am hoping that it is finally over. Now that we are into the 2nd trimester most of us should be feeling better as far as the morning sickness is concerned, thank goodness.
I just finally got caught up on this thread and I was agreeing with all of you and feeling great sorry for you all at the same time. Ugh, this headache and nausea stuff stinks! My headaches tend to be in the back of my head, above my neck. I'm 13 weeks tomorrow, and I tried to start weaning off my unisom/B6 a bit and that was a bad idea. Ugh. I was so nauseous I could only get a little relief if I didn't move.
So here's my thing. I haven't been nauseous this whole time, but as of about 13w it's starting. But only food related. I'll go from hungry and eating to one bite and I'm nauseous and over stuffed... also the thought of bananas makes me gag. Used to only be the feel of them in my mouth. What is that about? I don't get it
I woke up at 2 am with pregnancy insomnia. I started puking at 2:30. Fun times. My husband grumpily rolled over and asked, "what's wrong with you." Oh, you know, just a party in the bathroom in the middle of the night. Men suck!
I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow. I've had a lot of nausea, but not much puking at this point. My symptoms this time are mirroring my last pregnancy where I had more MS in second tri than in the first. Ugh.
I have good days and bad days. Threw up just before my ultrasound scan yesterday and felt weak an lousy all day. I tend to at least wake up an go to bed feeling hungover. Mid day is my best time of day

We can do it! I almost feel like we should earn some kind of medal going through all this....
What is that about? I don't get it
This is has to get better soon
