I just saw that @amberraysofdawn was banned? That can't be right?

  • I love onsies! Pre-birth, I had so many moms tell me that the snaps are so annoying or hard to deal with, but I've never had a problem with them. Much faster than pulling off shorts. I only put shorts over a onesie if we're running to target or something because I for some reason think she'd be more comfy in her car seat. If we're going out out, I put her in a cute outfit.
  • @Bltbear82 @tgortney The baby deal is through Saturday. I have figured out if you buy 4 huggies boxes, 2 pampers boxes and 1 huggies wipes. Total $151.91 then adding cartwheel and coupons brings it down to $122.34 and receive $55 in gift cards.
  • I layed Pollie down in her crib about fifteen minutes ago when she was close to sleep, for the past ten minutes I've been listening to her coo over the monitor. It's the cutest little noises I've ever heard!
  • I'm not a fan of onesies. I don't get the need to have baby's shirt tucked in. We only have 3 regular shirts and I've repeated them several times unlike the rest of her wardrobe. I prefer to only take her pants off when we're out and I need to change her. The onesie just adds snaps and a bigger hassle. Plus my LO is long so she tends to out grow them length wise first.
Hmm, I think pants are a PITA. So much easier to unsnap, pull up and change the diaper as opposed to taking off pants. Which is a bummer for me as we have many cute pants and shirts.

I guess I hate onesies because we're never at home. We are on the go from 9 until 4-5 most days. I don't like taking her out and about in only a onesie, which is odd because I don't mind taking her out in a tshirt and diaper (they're cloth, patterned and cute).

ETA: Yes @amberraysofdawn was banned and we don't know why. She's in the Facebook group and we've talked about it over there. I don't think she was warned or anything so a couple people have reached out to admin to find out what happened and hopefully get her back.

    You're amazing! Thanks for that!!

Re: onesies, love them. DH thinks LO doesn't need pants. Ever. Or shoes (ok maybe he doesn't need shoes). We use to keep LO in a long sleeve sleep sack when he was first home. That was awesome too.

He gets hot easy so onesies are great.
  • I should add that the diaper deal will be cheaper oop if you have registry completion coupon and/or red card.

Jet has been smiling and laughing while breastfeeding the last couple of days. It's hard not to smile back, but while she's having a good time I'm spraying milk errrrrywhere. Too cute to be annoying. For now. Anyone else have a LO that thinks snack time is play time?
Since my milk came in if I feed Ezra when he's feeling pkayful hell nurse until the milk starts flowing and then let go and let it spray everywhere while he smiles. It's so annoying and hilarious!!

So...I posted the other day about how I was stoked that my wedding rings finally fit again...with the last two super hot and humid days my fingers have swelled majorly and my ring is STUCK. I've tried every trick in the book; windex, lube, olive oil, the floss/string trick; nothing is working. So here I sit at the ER when DD got her shots earlier and is screaming for my poor 70 year old father and I'm waiting to get my rings CUT OFF MY FINGER. I'm so so sad...I want to cry. I asked if it'll be fixable and they all say probably not but I hope to God my freaking wedding ring is fixable. I've loved looking at it the last week and thinking of DH...and now it's going to be cut in half...wtf

ETA a picture and an update.

5 hours later and it's off! They had to use a medical saw of sorts since the ring cutter wouldn't cut through it and pry it open with some other fancy tools. I was crying seeing my ring like that, but it does look fixable! I figure whenever they resize a ring they have to cut it and add more metal so what's the big difference here other than the fact that my ring is a little bent out of shape AND cut? Lol
  • So . . . I'm days late to this random thread but I wanted to add to the initial convo. I planned to get a pre done baby book but there are too many things that I can't fill out having to do with family members and baby showers and things like that so I changed it to a pregnancy and baby journal. well that went out the window as well. I wasn't in the right frame of mind to write in a journal for her first month and a half.  Now I am working on a baby box. I plan to fill it with photos, mementos, birthday cards, favorite toys, favorite outfits, and random letters to her. It's perfect for us and will be so nice for her to open when she is older...i was thinking 18th birthday or something.

    In other news . . .
I know I posted this on the FB group but I thought I would stick it here too. Today MH decided to go into work very late.  Lately Lucy and I have had a great day time routine where MH will go to work at 6:30 or 7 and I will finish feeding her, give her a small play, top her up if she needs it and get her sleeping for a few hours.  Well today I did all this and got her in bed and MH comes over to her and makes eye contact and starts talking to her in a cutesy, excited voice.   UGH! Seriously man just go away! lol  She is easily stimulated and very often gets overstimulated.  It took ages to get her back to sleep after that!  This is something he does all the darn time.  I get her into bed and he walks over and starts chatting with her.   Why are men so annoying sometimes?

Oh no! Sorry that sucks big time!

On the positive side: at least you can keep the materials and make them into a ring again. It will be new, but the same?

    Keep us updated?
  • Hey can someone tell me about this Facebook group?
  • I would also like to join
  • @Kurrant Every time DH tries to get the baby back to sleep at night, the first thing he does is talk to him. Surely he'll figure it out one day.

Last week, LO started sleeping in longer stretches at night. 5.5-6 hours. He did it for a week; it was amazing! Now he's back to being up every 3-4 hours. I'm sitting here nursing him after he was up only 2.5 hours ago. Why do you have to tease me like that, child? I have to go back to work in a week, and now I think I'm going to be a zombie every day.

  • Ladies asking about Facebook - Apparently you need to friend someone IRL, and then they can add you. Those who want, you can PM me your FB name and I will add you as a friend and then to the group.

It's secret group so very private and awesome :)

  • @kurrant DH does that too! He says it seems like a good time to interact because baby/toddler is so nice and calm...but he ends up making them more awake. At least when he does it with DS1, he can usually get him chilled out again now, but it makes bedtime take forever.
  • @ncm0328 I'm so sorry! I hope you can repair it!
  • I avoided watching that "slow down" song that was circulating all over social media for such a long time. Last night while I was nursing DS I decided to watch it and all of my tears landed on him while I sobbed like a baby. If you have NOT yet watched, I am here to say DON'T. It's a bad idea. Just watch it when your kid is like 20 years old.
  • I just went to the daycare today to confirm start date.... And I'm already crying

Harper has been doing this thing, especially when napping on me, that she cries out two or three times then goes right back to sleeping. Scares the crap outta me. Can babies dream? I'm wondering what is the cause of this. The cries are so heart wrenching.

  • Started wearing some compression shorts to suck in my belly. Holy muffin top...but it does feel good to have my belly tight for the first time in almost a year. Hoping this helps since I never got around to getting a waist trainer.

my mil gave me three picture frames yesterday with the following words

    daddy and me
    grandpa and me
    grandma and me

wheres my mommy and me one? She claims she couldn't find one. I kinda doubt that, and not sure if I should be offended?

Doesnt really matter as I won't be using them anyways but geesssshhhhhh.
That reminds me of my wedding day... My sister took this family photo of all the siblings (there was 9 of us at that time-one brother has passed away since then) guess who wasn't in it. ME! I was pretty annoyed by it because the last family photo with all of us was in 2007 and I got married in 2010.

Sierra has been doing this from the start. And my baby apps kept telling me that babies can even dream in the womb - who knows about what - but assuming that means they can dream right away from birth too!
  • Holy 2nd leap and/or growth spurt. As of last night LO has been a complete pain about going down for naps. Like complete melt down every single time. And then during the day sleeps in short little spurts.

Honestly, I know he's awake right now bc I can hear him on the monitor, but he's not crying so he's going to chill in the crib a little bit bc mommy needs some lunch and a break after being screamed at and peed on earlier. :|

Ezra does this too! It breaks my heart!

My toddler has a wicked stomach virus. She's been throwing up in the MOTN for the past 2 nights and then last night she had explosive diarrhea at 4 am. Cue 4 am shower, which cues waking the baby. Then 2 hours later she barfs all over the couch. I've been cleaning for the past 48 hours and trying to keep DS in a bubble and away from all of the germs. I need a prayer, a nap, and stiff drink.
I am living the same nightmare!!! Toddler kept waking up last night every 30 minutes telling DH her tummy hurt. Cue couch barfing and 6 of the most disgusting poopy diapers I have ever seen (where did all that poop come from?) while mommy is on duty and daddy is at work of course. This is after she had strep throat last week... I tell you when it rains it pours. Thank god the baby took a 2 hour then a 3 hour then a 1 hour nap today so I could keep her away from the germs. Hoping LO doesn't get sick...
  • Okay, I lied...today turned out to be a busier day than I expected and I didn't have enough time to talk about All of the Things. And now I'm so exhausted that I don't have much to say except that it's been a really long week and I'm glad that I'm able to Bump again. Didn't realize how much I'd come to rely on this place until I couldn't participate anymore!
