I had my dating ultrasound today. I felt my so panicked when the doctor started and the baby wasn't moving. I almost burst into tears because I found out about my previous loss during an ultrasound and the stillness is just unsettling. I have nightmares about it. Fortunately my doctor is very sensitive to PAL and told me baby was asleep before I could even ask. He showed me the heartbeat and blood flow and baby woke up before the end and wiggled its arms in front of its face. It was such a relief by the end and baby measured on track.
And my my doctor gave me a ridiculous amount of pictures which was awesome.
Hi ladies! I had my NT scan this morning, and it is like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I know my PGAL brain is still going to be nervous over the next few weeks, but I'm feeling pretty confident now!
The tech said the baby measured right where it should with a heartbeat of 169, and the nurse said after that the NT measurements looked normal (1.9mm). Our little one was moving the whole time, and the tech had a bit of a hard time getting the right measurements, but she was finally able to.
I think we're going to start telling people this weekend (we've only told close friends and our parents so far)....hope everyone else's appointments today go well!
Ugh pregnancy cold - I feel like my face is going to explode.
On the upside, I dropped some stuff off at goodwill this morning and found these precious things brand new with tags still on for $1 each. These are my first official baby purchases.
Feel better, pregnancy colds are the effing worst @ceclarlinetlo. And those outfits are cute.
I had my NT scan yesterday (Friday, which I think was yesterday, in my pregsomnia haze). The baby looked great. Didn't move a ton- the tech wasn't really into the experience for us, so it was brief which sucked. We announced to the world and this all feels surreal still.
I have been seeing an OB an hour from my house until I felt comfortable returning to my midwife practice (where I had my 2 previous losses) or around 24 weeks. I found out that my favorite OB is strictly a gynecologist, so I saw someone else, who laughed at me for "still" nursing my 20 month old even though she is "huge" (22 pounds soaking wet). Adios asshole. I may be mentally done breastfeeding, but I don't trust an obstetrician with such anti-woman beliefs. Switching back to the midwives. Hopefully I don't freak balls entering that lobby again.
@thepax89 I can't believe a doctor would laugh at you for that! Do you have an appointment scheduled yet? I feel like making the appointment alone could be overwhelming. FX you are pleasantly surprised and the PGAL brain gives you a break when you go.
And beging dear diary ramble: It's 3:00AM where I am. Just had probably my least favorite (healthy) pregnancy moment thus far. I've been having trouble sleeping tonight from my cold, waking up every hour since 10:45 or so but going back to sleep rather quickly - except this last time. I woke up to pee at 2 and could get back to sleep so I decided to take a unisom. A little before 3 I get the sudden realization I am going to vomit - all the dry heaving in the world and literally nothing came up - so now I have more petechia on my face and with all the heaving I peed a little so I had to change and as I was furiously trying to tie my hair back before I got sick my hair tie fell in the potty. It's been quite a morning. DH and I are supposed to drive back to where we just moved to get him fitted for a tux for a wedding later today and I was looking forward to it all week but now the thought of a 4 hour round trip sounds terrible no matter the destination
Ah!!! I don't get my NT scan for 2 more weeks but my appointment went well yesterday. We heard baby's heartbeat and my uteris is measuring 11 weeks. My doctor said its ok to start telling people even though it's not 12 weeks yet because heartbeat is strong and I'm practically out of the first trimester but I'm scared! Lol
@ThePax89 What s douchenozzle. You should let the management of his office know why you're leaving. You'd think a doc would love seeing a breastfed babe! Ugh.

@SquirrelGiggles83 I am so, so sorry your brain did that to you. **TW** I once had a dream that I was actively miscarrying. I woke up sobbing and ran to the bathroom. It was so real and terrifying. I really hope our PGAL brains will accept that everything is going correctly soon.
