@wifeinraleigh28 hi. We did ivf in june...late comer to find this group.. I'll give a lil background. Dh and I married 7/7/07 been together since 2002. Ttc since 2008. We started the whole ivf process due to mfi. Long story short we had egg retrieval 6/4. 15eggs, 10 were mature, did Icsi on all 10 and 6 made it. Transferred 2 on 6/7 anf froze remaining 4. 6/20 BCP 323 6/22 BCP 1497 awaiting u/s on 7/7.... Just want say thanks to all as u seem to all be soo supportive during this hard long process!

Completed my first night of stims! Wahoo! It went pretty well. Mixing 6 vials took a long time but I was happy to have it all be in one shot. My hubby had a hard time getting all the liquid to push through. It didn't sting at all. A couple hours later I noticed a red welt on my face that was hot to the touch. I'm hoping its some sort of bug bite and not an allergic reaction. Has anyone else ever had this?

@kyrgyzshan For my first transfer I wore moose socks that my grandma got for me when she went to Alaska. My doc told me that anyone who wears moose socks gets pregnant! Lol! (of course, that cycle was a bfn, but it was still funny he said that) Hopefully paw print socks are lucky for you!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July! We are going to a friends bbq tomorrow and then having ppl over on Monday to watch the DC fireworks (and all the local fireworks since we can see tons from 27 stories up!) from our condo roof. Hoping the weather cooperates!

AFM - I'm disappointed. We got 6 eggs this morning. That's how many we got last time. The doc didn't like tha number last cycle so she upped my meds. I thought for sure we'd get more! Last time I got the 6 out of 4 follicles. This time we had 9 follicles!! How did we only get 6??? I was hoping for at least 10. This time we're doing ICSI, so hopefully more will fertilize than the 2 we had last time. Still a little bummed. : \
@kyrgyzshan I'm sorry they only got 6 eggs I know you can still have success though! Especially with doing ICSI. I'll be holding out hope for you! Please keep us posted on the embryo development. I have you down as a fresh transfer, is that correct?
We're having friends over for a BBQ on the 4th, but the forecast looks iffy. We don't have a covered patio in our backyard so if it rains we can't grill steaks and hot dogs like we had planned!
I have an ultrasound and blood work tomorrow morning, but we are driving up to Dallas (4 hours from Houston) right after to visit my family for the 4th and to do a 30th bday cake smash photo shoot for my sister-in-law. Then back to Houston for another US & BW on Tuesday. Short, busy trip! And it might be our last time in Dallas before out big overseas move later this summer.
@kyrgyzstan 6 is still good. Fx all will take with Icsi! Dont stress, u've done all u can do, sending prayers over to those lil ones! Take it easy the next few days if u can. I was real soar the first 2 days after er.
AFM. We are packing and moving this weekend. Sold our house but haven't found a new one yet. =-O Luckily we have a place to stay in the meantime

@kyrgyzshan I was disappointed about our low number of eggs that fertilized. But, my college roommate has a best friend that also did IVF, and reminded me that in their first cycle they got 3 eggs and 1 embryo that is now their healthy 5 year old. They've done two more rounds since with more eggs, but with BFNs each time. So, more isn't always better. Quality over quantity...I bet they grow big and strong this week!

I have a funny story to share: DH and I were out for a walk yesterday when we noticed some sky writing being started. We watched for a bit, and the first part was a smiley face. The next two parts were the letters B and D. My first thought was "happy sexy times". DH was really confused. I had to explain to him that BD is a thing we use here as an acronym for sex. He was then even more confused, and couldn't figure out what BD could possible stand for. His first guess was, of course, big dick. I burst out laughing and had to inform him he was a bit off. It was quite a funny situation. I always have ttc on the brain. (it ended up being smile bdy, which we assumed was happy birthday)

@rmarble23 and @BornReady I guess I should amend my previous statement and say that it was IVF New England. But aren't they the same thing now? We live in Chelmsford so my doc is in Billerica and IVF NE is in Lexington which is all pretty convenient. Where are you guys?
AFM - I'll get the call this afternoon to let us know how many fertilized and give an estimate on when we'll do the ET. We get to spend the day babysitting out 2yo cousin so that'll definitely take my mind off of things! I'm thinking a swimming hole, the zoo and ice cream???
Also, I've been feeling like a selfish brat since yesterday. I've been all bummed out about only getting 6 eggs. We were in between two other couples and I'm such an eavesdropper!! One husband was stoked that they got 6. And the other couple didn't get any!!! First of all, I didn't think that was possible! But mainly it's making me feel like a horrible human for being so disappointed with my situation when they don't have any eggs!! This whole process is just so sad!!!

@mr&mrs.d - I've already caved and POAS. it was negative I am telling myself that maybe the hcg level isn't high enough to detect yet and trying to stay positive. But being 6dp5dt I thought it would show by now if I was... I really wanted to find out before beta so I could surprise DH. Stay strong!!!
@kyrgyzshan and @BornReady I am from west of Worcester and we use the Boston IVF in Waltham over an hour drive but thats only for ER and ET as my RE is in Worcester
@kyrgyzshan the zoo and swimming and ice cream sound like a fabulous way to get your mind off of things as long as you are feeling well. And I didn't think it was possible to get zero as well but I guess they could be empty follies as they aren't all guaranteed to have eggs in them right? Either way thats a crappy situation they are in
My FET isn't for another 10 days or so (I am convinced it will be delayed after my lining check next Weds, since something always seems to go wrong), but I am wondering about how the beta process goes. Did you go in for a blood draw and get results while you were at the clinic? Did they draw blood and call you later? Trying to decide if I want to test ahead of time or wait until I get something official. If they call you with results a few hours later, I would probably be at work and I really don't think that's a phone call I want to get if it is not good. I'd rather have a heads up and POAS. But if they tell you in clinic, I'll make my husband come with me so I've got some support if things aren't good.

@PNW12RN we had the blood work done the am and didnt get call back til almost 4pm..I was too afraid to poas (I just figured out the acronym 4 that) lol so the bfp was a surprise. but u have to do what u would feel most comfortable with...Fx!
@PNW12RN I don't think it's possible to get results right away from a blood test. The earliest I've gotten results is about 12:30, but only because I was going out of town the next day and needed to know if I needed more PIO or not. I usually get the call after 2 pm but before 5 pm.

@PNW12RN. I've always gone into the office first thing to give blood work and they call me that afternoon. If I go in later in the day they tell me that I won't get the results until the next day. My office closes at 5 so if I don't hear from them by 4:30 I give them a call.
AFM - just got the call, we've got 5 embryos!!! I'm so excited! Transfer should be either Tuesday or Thursday. And we'll be transferring 2. Since DH and I are both 35, we want to get a jump start on our family so twins would be welcomed!!!

AFM - I'll get the call this afternoon to let us know how many fertilized and give an estimate on when we'll do the ET. We get to spend the day babysitting out 2yo cousin so that'll definitely take my mind off of things! I'm thinking a swimming hole, the zoo and ice cream???
Also, I've been feeling like a selfish brat since yesterday. I've been all bummed out about only getting 6 eggs. We were in between two other couples and I'm such an eavesdropper!! One husband was stoked that they got 6. And the other couple didn't get any!!! First of all, I didn't think that was possible! But mainly it's making me feel like a horrible human for being so disappointed with my situation when they don't have any eggs!! This whole process is just so sad!!!

@kyrgyzshan the zoo and swimming and ice cream sound like a fabulous way to get your mind off of things as long as you are feeling well. And I didn't think it was possible to get zero as well but I guess they could be empty follies as they aren't all guaranteed to have eggs in them right? Either way thats a crappy situation they are in

AFM - just got the call, we've got 5 embryos!!! I'm so excited! Transfer should be either Tuesday or Thursday. And we'll be transferring 2. Since DH and I are both 35, we want to get a jump start on our family so twins would be welcomed!!!

first RE visit 11/15, me - blocked left tube and Low AMH, DH - low count, motility not great
5/16 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, dexamethasone (5/19 suppression check: 13 resting follicles; 5/24: estradiol 457 - decreased menopur;
5/27: estradiol 1417, progesterone 0.18, 5 follicles >15mm, 9 follicles 5-15mm; 5/30: estradiol 2964, progesterone 0.8, 9 follicles
>16mm, 6 follicles 6-11mm; 5/31: estradiol 3149, progesterone 4.1; 6/1 ER)
6/16 egg retrieval 6/1 (15 eggs, 14 mature, 7 fertilized with ICSI); 5 day update (5AB (biopsied and frozen), 4AB/C (biopsied and frozen), 2/3, 3 morula, 1 multicellular); 7 day update (4 frozen and sent for CCS: 5AB, 4AB/C, 5AB, 4BB); CCS results (2 normal, 1 abnormal, 1 inconclusive)
7/16 attempt to retest inconclusive - didn't survive thaw
8/16 transfer day 8/1: 2 5AB hatching blasts, beta 8/10 = 250!!, beta #2 8/12 = 572, ultrasound on 8/24...TWINS!
The last time I didn't poas and so far I've refrained during this TWW. I like to keep the hope alive as long as possible
I hope it's just too early for HCG to be detected @kfras. Are you planning to test again before beta?
