@mestokes, nope mine is too. And he will throw himself around his crib and then whine until I come in and intervene. We actually moved him back into our room in the pack n play because he would not sleep in the crib. He screamed and screamed everytime we put him down. It doesn't help that he is sick this week too, so he is very clingy.
I feel like LO wants to go to bed earlier and earlier. Her bedtime has been between 7-8, but last night she was asleep at 6:30. Our bedtime routine is about 15 minutes maybe? But again I feel like it's gotten shorter because LO just wants to go to bed already, so we end up cutting our storytime short. We put her down drowsy, and now that we are done with sleep training (I think), she just whines a few minutes then falls asleep. It's amazing. I seriously had the worst sleeper ever and now she's amazing. Gets up one time to eat, sometimes wakes up at other times between sleep cycles just for a few seconds and complains but goes right back to sleep.
I'm a stay at home mom... so I don't have to hold my child to a strict schedule. I let her make her own schedule within set guidelines. That being said, at our house, we don't have a "bed time." Instead we do "quiet time." At 9 pm, I will generally bring her to her room where she is fed and changed, then allowed a quiet activity, or cuddle time while I play a dramatized version of the bible for her on my tablet until she falls asleep. Doing this, usually has her to sleep no later than midnight and she will sleep a good 9-10 hours straight, which allows me to get plenty of rest. During the day, I usually let her take naps when she feels like it - for as long as she wants. Generally she will sleep on her own a solid 1-3 hours twice a day. I've never had a problem letting her set her own schedule, and considering the fact that she has been sleeping through the night with no problems since she was a month old, I must be doing something right.
