1. Is anyone else addicted to orange juice? Or any juice?
2. I love eating, but I would almost rather just drink juice and have a light snack every once in a while. (See #1)
3. My mom is like 45 minutes away (driving from my hometown...10-12 hours away) and my apartment still looks a mess. And I can't care. I can barely lift my feet off the ground.
4. My OB office doesn't do 3rd tri ultrasounds unless they're medically necessary. I'm having an elective 2D tomorrow. I'm excited. You just can't tell.
@KASG Orange juice is my jam, I could probably go through one of those Simply Orange bottles in a day if I let myself...but as @setosh mentioned, that's a lot of sugar. Still more nutritious than soda, which I will also drink way too much of if it is available. The orange juice with pineapple is ridiculously good.

Stalking the newborn thread and the pain/tearing talk about vaginal deliveries has me a bit nervous. I didn't tear with my daughter and felt very lucky. I think it was partly attributed to wide spread contractions while pushing so my body had time to stretch naturally in between. Reading up now it also says certain positions can reduce the risk of tearing as well as not giving it "your all" during contractions and letting your body's natural "push" do some of the work too. Any thoughts....any STM's?
@KASG@winnie1122 I'm right there with y'all on the OJ train, that and fruit smoothies may be my diet for the next month... Give me all the sugar. At least it is not salt!
Having a baby is so awesome, I agree with @rakel88 even after getting screamed at for the past 30 mins. This is easily the coolest thing I've ever done and now I understand why people have more than one kid.
@KASG For me it's milk. I've never been one to drink much of it, but I've easily gone through half a gallon a day for the second half of this pregnancy! It's my first go-to for heartburn.. or thirst.. or when I want a snack. Lol
Was awake at 3:30 again this morning to pee and get a drink. Then ended up downstairs on the couch only to get sucked into watching Jurassic World. Once I start a movie, I have to finish it, so here I am...
It was really scary and at times I thought my stress would start labor haha! Thankfully Chris Pratt made it all more bearable
@KASG Yes juice has been my jam, especially the mango green tea from Trader Joes, before this it was orange gatorade and now my craving is morphing into cream soda! So much sugar, the baby goes crazy anytime I drink any of these!
It's too hot to eat a full meal, so I am on the light snack train!
I'm having a baby monitor struggle... Do I need one with video? I got one at my baby shower, went to set it up and it didn't work. I returned it and am now looking for a new one. The video ones are pretty expensive and all have mixed reviews saying they are awesome or they completely suck! I know most moms want video during the SIDS risk phase, but are they that great? STMs who have used either video or just audio, I would love to hear your experience! And FTMs why did you choose what you did??

With my first child, the video monitors weren't as popular as they are now so we went with audio only. We actually still have those monitors after 5 years and they still work. I was always checking on him to make sure he was still breathing so this time we bought the video monitor in the hopes that I won't go completely bonkers with the every second breathing checks. I hope it makes a difference but my Mommy brain tells me that I'll still be cuckoo!
For my first child we used the angel care monitor with no video.. it just gave me piece of mind that he was breathing..we had him sleep in his crib from day one. When he got older we shut off the motion sensor as when they move you get lots of false alarms bc they move off the area. For this one we were gifted the angel care with the video so well use that.. We prob would have just used our old one.. but we are still using that with our son to hear him... with him too recently we bought a cheap wifi one for his room with video and I like the video now that hes mobile.. to see what hes doing in there and if hes moved out of his bed. Otherwise I wouldnt think the video is necessary.
Thanks @HenchBytch and @john5111 I went ahead and ordered a video monitor off of amazon because I think I would go crazy not being able to see him for those first few months!

Actually I like the video monitor even more as the baby gets older and starts moving around. And, when it's time to move to a toddler bed, it's VERY helpful! Good choice.
Also, I'm praising basically all the gods right now because one of my co-workers brought homemade coconut cream pie to work today. Don't mind if I do, thank you! YUMM
I think my husband and I have a slight addiction to command strips. My son moved into his big boy room in April and we've used those strips to put up EVERYTHING. We finally hung some artwork in the nursery this past weekend and yep, used command strips again. They're so easy and I have no idea why we kept putting nails/screws in our walls before. I might just need to buy stock in the damn 3M company.
I have an appointment tomorrow so in case they do a cervical check and considering its been about 8 weeks since I last shaved it's about time I tackle that jungle again! It's probably going to take 7 hours, oh well!
@LadyFleck I bought a four pack of blades in January, I only opened the fourth blade two days ago, that's how little I shaved. I cringe at the thought of cutting myself with a blunt blade!
Has anyone taken P17 shots that have finished or will be finished soon? I just had my last one yesterday and am getting anxious about how much time I have left. I know it differs for every pregnancy but I've read that a lot of women go into labor within 1-2 weeks after their last shot. EEP.
Everyone's having their babies and I'm over here trying to shove him out by eating so much food there's just no room left. Good strategy?
Same here. I have an appointment tomorrow and I'm pretty sure the most exciting part will be my weigh in... Betting I can hit 50lb in weight gain before this baby pops out. We're having tacos for dinner...

Hi, just wanted to say thanks for following the advice and posting this on the randoms thread... I unfortunately don't have any experience with this but did a quick search and saw that there are some threads that talk about this... Have you tried using the search function? I saw one in the High Risk Mommas thread but Im mobile and can't copy and paste...
