Trust in the fact that there will be some trolls here and there and you do NOT want them to have access to your personal information. My BMB with DS went to FB about a month before a due date month and even then, we had some interesting facts come to light and had to give them the boot.

Suffice it to say, we will NOT be naming this baby Mister. I mean....
I just don't feel pregnant... Just minor cramping- It's a double edge sword. If I felt horrible I would be wishing to feel nothing and now that I feel nothing I want to feel horrible.
I fucking love reading. Lately I have had the hardest time focusing on a book though. I don't know if it's the exhaustion or what, but Everytime I pick up the novel I'm trying to get through, my eyes go a bit cross eyed. Super lame.
I'm obsessed with audiobooks. I can't stop listening to fracking paranormal romances, though. I feel like they are sucking the smart cells right out of my brain. I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes open to actually read a book these days.
I'm determined to make it through A Dragonfly in Amber audiobook this month. 20 more hours to go!

No to FB this early.. There WILL be some crazies up in here at some point. My last BMB didn't do a FB group until about a month before the first EDD. Another group was created later for those that didn't join by the cut off date.
My 2nd BMB did a FB group around beginning of 3rd tri. Then that group spawned a smaller group, which then had a huge cat fight and spawned two more groups with the third still being around. SO - now I'm in a small 16 woman group AND a larger 50 women group. Dramz.
But, seriously, I am besties with my small group. So, I anticipate that it WILL happen for us at some point.

I had a stalker...... Fun times. BUT when we did them, some of the ladies ended up being really close IRL friends. ETA: the stalker and faker were on TB, not FB. Be careful what info you share on the interwebz, it's surprisingly easy for people to go RL.

@CallMeLauraJane a lot of people in my family love audiobooks too. They travel a lot. But what are paranormal romances? Is that like twilight? I've recently (within the last few years) have gotten heavily into sci fi, and am trying my best to make it through the dune series.
I'm team no Facebook as well. I got the glow app, for the drama and horrible grammar of course, and stumbled upon a catfish person who is very obviously preying on teenage girls. What disturbed me the most was how comfortable they all are taking selfies and saying where they live.

I am having a small panic attack. My husband, a huge Cavaliers fan, went back to Cleveland for the parade today. He was feet away from the shooting that just occurred. He is fine - he called me and his dad picked him up from the downtown area....but the horrible flash I had of what our life would be like without him has me freaking out.
I I don't think I am going to be able to calm down until I physically see him at home.

I have a US medical question - it currently seems likely that I will have emergency medical coverage for weeks 12 through 23. I'll have a dating ultrasound and a nuchal translucency while still in Canada, as well as my prenatal physical - but as far as I can tell there is an anatomy scan that happens 18-20 weeks. I'm trying to gauge how expensive things are if we have to pay out of pocket for them (I'm also looking into Obamacare to cover the 75 days that I'll be in the US before my employer benefits package takes effect). Does anyone have a sense of what an anatomy scan would cost out of pocket?

It -really- depends on where you do it. I've seen numbers from $150 to $1000. You'll probably also need an OB or midwife to order it, which will cost you another widely varying amount.
Fortunately, the anatomy scan is a standard enough item you should be able to call local practices and get a price.
@catiecatp when do you start your job? I would assume you'd qualify for WIC or whatever the baby Medicare is called even as a Canadian. Isn't that why Trump people hate Mexicans?
Thanks @momousekee, @monalisaralphio, and @perrasucia - there are so many aspects to think about that are new and involve a different process than here in Canada. It is confusing. I start August 15th and unfortunately I don't qualify for COBRA, well I do but a Canadian one that won't cover us in the US...

@catiecatp getting a midwife is pretty easy here or at least here in Southern California. If I had killer insurance and was into hippie births I'd go to a birthing center that have all the fancy stuff like you would at home without the clean up
