@SkiChic626 congrats on your daughter! Oh, and you would think all I would need is the invoice but the Credit card company told me that its better if I just have my vet reimburse my CC. They put the invoice on file and will conduct a dispute if the vet is not cooperative... I just found out it was actually a charge of 1305.56.... when it was supposed to be 130.56. I actually have to go to the vet on friday to pick up more heart meds and steroids... I got an email from who I thought was the receptionist saying he didn't have time yesterday to look at the files... and that he will try to look tonight. I am so glad I deleted the email I wrote back to him... because I lost my mind. I called them back and I hope I was polite... explained that this is terrible timing for our family and I need them to fix it as soon as possible... turns out this person is my vet's husband and is the CFO of her business and he can't check the files during work hours because the financial files are at home in his office... because I was like... can't you just go look now? and He explained that they are at home...
I really hope my vet doesn't hate me over this... but I also hope this gets resolved... my limit on my CC is 2300... so 1300$ is a huge charge and I like to keep my balance around a manageable 300$ or less... so I have room for emergencies and we plan on paying for the birth with my card... ugh
@Snaps816 he doesn't have a probation officer because it's unsupervised. I wish he had one because then at least he would have someone to answer to. They just discuss things with his lawyer and then he has a check in with court in September. We are pretty much at a stand still with anything we think we could do. It bothers DH to no end knowing that his grandma is being taken advantage and even she won't let anyone do anything about it.
You can report anonymously, unfortunately working in financial services and banking, we see a lot of this. Usually if I report a situation, I report it first to compliance, but this is something banks definately do - If you feel it's warranted, you can always report it, then blame her bank... I'm sorry you are dealing with this, it's a tough spot.
I worked the weekend, so Monday was my day off, and it was completely delightful. I got to spend a few hours at the pool which was very relaxing. But now I'm completely sunburned on my front (with minimal sun to my back.) My skin hurts so bad, I'm at work and my bra straps feel like they are grating my skin off. :-/

I did the same exact thing yesterday. I forgot that although my skin rarely burns, I fry when I'm pregnant. I definitely won't forget to reapply sunscreen next time.
We started telling our families and everyone our name. Which was going great. Until the ILs thought of nickname they want to call him. I told them it is not his name and they will not call him that. Call him by his name please. FIL argued with me about it which only made me more pissed. Rant over.
@jksj1993 You know who will stop that? Your kiddo.
My dad used to call me "Ali" I HATED it... He'd called me it since I was a baby and thought it was cute. Pretty much as soon as I could talk I looked at him and very firmly said "That is NOT my name. My name is ALLISON"
He would still call me it to annoy me, but the nickname died pretty well right then.
@jksj1993 my parents had this same issue. My mom begged my grandma not to call me it, but she has called me Pooh every day of my life. It's really fun when we're out and about and she starts asking where her "Pooh" went lol. Hope your lo's nickname is better or that they don't go through with it. Now I'm just used to it and maybe I'm just more laid back, but it's never really bothered me too much. It's more just comical because she doesn't even realize she's saying something funny.
@jksj1993... that happened with my son. His name is James, and everyone tried to call him jimmy before he was even born. I told everyone who said it absolutely not. My mil is the only one I didn't stop, and only because that's what she called my husband (our son is a jr, and that's part of the reason I don't want him going by Jim or jimmy, that's what my husband goes by). After a few months she stopped using the nick name because she didn't want to confuse him. Now our son only goes by James or JJ, but he prefers James, and he will tell you that!

My brother and SIL had that same reaction about a nickname (which is based on the real name) for their older son. Fast forward almost 7 years and now they call him that nickname

My inlaws nicknamed DD "wizzie" which is kind of based on her real name but I can't stand it. We also don't see them on a regular basis so she never responds to them when they call her that and I secretly love it! Lol. We were over there last month or so and DD was basically ignoring FIL and he said "I don't know why she's ignoring me, I keep calling her name". I responded with "wizzie is not her name, it's XYZ."
My my parents on the other hand will call her by her name but also have pet names for her. My dad calls her punkie butt and my mom calls her mae mae. She responds to those names as well as her name.
