Trying to Get Pregnant

Clomid Users and cycle.

Hi everyone!  My doctor put me on Clomid last month and it was my first dosage.  About a week and a half ago my progesterone levels were very low, so I figured that I did not get pregnant.  I am now a week late and still have not gotten my period.  I have felt all the symptoms but no period. I've taken three pregnancy tests but they all say negative.  I am convinced that there is something wrong with me because I haven't had my period yet, but I am seeing my OB next week.  Has anyone else had their cycles thrown-off after taking Clomid? Thanks!

  • I second all of the PP. please be careful with Clomid. If you search Clomid on this board there are many stories about Clomid.

If your progesterone came back really low it sounds like you aren't responding to the clomid dose you were given and haven't ovulated yet, so you're not "late".  Did your "doctor" not explain this to you?  I am using the term doctor loosely, hence the ".

I agree with PPs.  You really need to be properly monitored and have appropriate testing done before and during clomid cycles.  Have you had an HSG?  Do you know if your tubes are open?  No amount of clomid is going to get you KU if you're tubes are blocked.

I would do more homework on this and seriously question the care you are getting with the "doctor" before taking another round.

  • Apparently you found this question entertaining.  I was looking for advice from other people.  No need to be rude or "QFP."  I recently suffered a miscarriage and am trying to get my body back on track.
  • @sarah0985 First of all, I have been using this as a resource since last September. I have contributed to several message boards on a regular basis.  In fact, I offered my support to several women who miscarried around the same time that I did and made some nice friends.  Second, I was not mad at the support given.  I did a past search for "QFP" in different threads, as I did for the Clomid search based off of other's people advice, and someone posted that the term is used when someone asks an "idiotic" question.  There is absolutely no need for you to say that I have never given anyone support and that I "demanded it."
  • I was actually about to write a response when I received the last two messages. @sarah0958 I apologize as I was overly-sensitive in this matter. However, I did not think that it garnered the rude responses that it received. Conceiving has been a very difficult and sensitive topic for me, as it is to many women. My miscarriage was very devastating, and since then I have become very nervous with how my body reacts to almost everything. I read too much into the some of the messages, and overlooked the advice given. @GrabberBlue2010 and @andipandic , thank you both for your kindness. Also, Thank thank you to the ladies that did provide help responses and feed back. Itis very helpful as this is all relatively new to me.
