Yes to the itchy skin! I soak in a lavender Epsom salt before bed sometimes and it helps. Otherwise I've been using this lotion from motherhood maternity, it's honey and milk in a plastic jar. I have really sensitive fair skin, and this seems very mild and gentle.

Hi ladies, haven't done too much posting on this board (more lurking) as I've been trying to get my head around it and time seems to have flown! All has gone pretty easily so far. Haven't had too many symptoms.
For the last week though I've had some pelvic pain, and some in the upper thighs and lower back. Nothing excruciating but pretty uncomfortable mostly if I've been walking for a while. Anyone else having similar? Just normal preggo symptom? I'm 29 weeks this week.
@Car0liiine , I've had a lot of friends pregnant and had babies recently. About half of them only got BH right before the labour or not at all. There doesn't seem to have been any correlation between those who got them early and labour time etc. I also read dehydration can cause BH and make them worse, so if you're well hydrating that may it? I'm 29 weeks, but no sign here yet either.
Welcome @ccfc1984 Does it feel like your pelvis/pubic area is bruised? If so I have the same issue. I was told it can be blamed on pregnancy hormones called relaxin which are loosening up the joints in preparation for delivery. I have been seeing a prenatal chiropractor for mine and she has been awesome! I notice a huge difference after an appointment with her. She has also taught me stretches that have kept my sciatic pain at bay.
As far as your back pain, I would maybe make a call to your OB and describe it just to make sure.

Yes it does! It's fine if I'm not active, but any length of time walking etc it gets uncomfortable pretty quickly. The pain radiates around the back of my thighs too a bit, nearly the bum muscles? I'm not sure how to describe it.
The lower back pain is fairly mild, it seems to be related to the pubic pain, I get pain under the bump around the lower back and down into the pubic area. I've got a doc appointment next week so if it's still hurting I'll definitely bring it up.
Starting pre-natal pilates class next week, so hoping that some core work might help. I really haven't been active enough during the pregnancy and I'm wondering if that's part of the issue.
@ccfc1984 I definitely notice mine when I am more active. Also after I went garage sale-ing a few weeks ago, the constant motion of opening my pelvis to get out of the car really intensified the pain. I find that keeping my knees together and pivoting to get out of the car is so much easier on that joint.
Your bum and thigh pain sounds a bit like sciatic pain. I highly recommend a prenatal chiropractor for it. Also try a heating pad or ice on that area. Ice worked better for me twice to three times a day. DH got me one of those bead ice packs meant for your back at Walgreens. It's nice because it is squishy and easy to sit on.

@midwestbaby Thank you for taking the time to reply. Off to google sciatic pain!
I'm currently living in Asia, so a lot of the stuff I see on lists on here that sounds great (for pregnancy/baby etc) is impossible to find but ice pack is already in the freezer!
@ccfc1984 I've had some similar pain/discomfort - it's no fun! My OB said its pretty common at this stage and recommended stretching daily. Cat/cow and child's pose seem to help me the most.
@car0liiine that is good to know about milk! I will not od on cereal then. Thankfully heartburn wasn't bad today. I tried to eat smaller meals and snacks and that seemed to help per @lynnlove28
I walked around the mall today and stood around for total of 2 hrs.
My legs and feet are so swollen right now. I was tempted to wear compression socks to bed but I googled to see if that would help and realized it may not be safe.
Now I'm going to bed in fear of random painful leg cramps during the night. Ohhh here we go...ahhh
I've already been diagnosed with heart palpitations (PVCs) but a few minutes ago had a run of v-tac (several PVCs in a row). That's the second time it's happened since getting pregnant and this time was much worse. I know it's normal and supposedly harmless, but so scary! I hope no one else has to deal with palpitations during pregnancy.
After relatively symptom free first and second trimester it seems like something new is popping up daily at the moment. I have hemorrhoids was feeling pretty uncomfortable down there, and just felt them. Ow!
The drooling just kicked in. I remember reading that can start in the first tri, so apparently I'm a late bloomer. But ew! I wake up in the middle of the night with a wet pillowcase and it's gross.
Also, clumsiness. I'm dropping everything. So weird what pregnancy does to us!
@ccfc1984 I had an immensely painful hem about a month ago. It was DREADFUL. I did the regular routine of multiple Epsom salt sitz baths, tucks pads, dermoplast, etc. After days of pain that kept me up at night, I asked a family member who has lots of hemmie experience (poor thing) what to do. The secret, apparently, is hydrocortisone cream applied to the hem. It is a steroidal cream so I went light just to be safe, but it was INSTANT RELIEF. It immediately took the hem's anger level down to almost nothing. I'd never use another product again! Just a tiny pea sized swipe helped... it was a damn miracle.
@ccfc1984 yes definitely started getting pelvic pain yesterday. Every time I got out of my chair to walk around at work it hurt. Was going to work out but decided to rest instead and this morning it's still sore while walking or trying to get up. It feels like I did a ton of ab exercises or bruised. It's really uncomfortable for me and hoping it doesn't get worse.
Anyone else have a marked increase in discharge lately? I'm 31 weeks, 4days, and today and yesterday, I've noticed I've had a thicker, milky white discharge. I googled what a mucus plug looks like and it doesn't look like those pictures. But, I don't know if a more gradual loss would look different. Do y'all think this something I should call my doctor about or just wait until my next appointment (a week from tomorrow) to mention assuming of course it doesn't increase significantly more or start to include any blood? I'm not have any cramping or pelvic pressure feelings.
@alikay20 I believe you mentioned an increase in your post from a few days ago. Did yours go away or has it remained at an "increased" amount?

@riveridgional I've had a remarkable increase in discharge each week staring at about 16ish weeks. I've had it checked multiple times and it's always turned out to be just normal pregnancy discharge other than the week I had a bacterial imbalance, which they treated me for. Starting a few weeks ago mine changed to a milky white discharge as well. I was told it was fine and haven't worried about it because it seems the really watery discharge or discharge that's pink or bloody is more worrisome regarding leaking fluid. But if you're worried I would call your doctor just to get a peace of mind. I've called a couple times this pregnancy because of it and it's a really common call they get from all their patients from what I've been told.
So I went in today because I wasn't feeling baby B as much we normal, so they hooked me up to the monitors (babies are both fine). Turns out I was having Braxton hicks contractions about 5 minutes apart. Thankfully nothing to serious since I couldn't feel all of them and I've been having them for weeks. They did a swab to send in for a labor indicator test of FFN and it came back negative (a test they can do to see if if you will be in labor sometime in the next two weeks). She must of swabbed me pretty hard though because it was extremely sensitive when she did it and now my pee burns! I had her test for a bladder infection too, just in case but also negative. Has anyone else had a super sensitive cervix that they've noticed this far along? It's so far been my most annoying symptom to date and worse than the Braxton hicks!
So lucky me, my feet swelled up in time for my late afternoon 31 week obgyn visit this afternoon. Not as bad as some foot-swelling-pictures I've seen, but markedly swollen! The good news is, BP is fine and no protein in the urine, and I guess I get sympathy points for bringing the symptom in to my visit?
started having lower pelvic pain when i walk or got up from a seat or event bent in a certain direction. almost like baby was bouncing on me really hard or if I had done a ton of abwork. Had it for about 2 days and went to see my doc about it. Luckily my lab results just came back from the glucose screening last week and I have a bladder infection. Feeling much better today and glad it wasn't anything more serious. She mentioned they're common in pregnancy. Haven't had one of these in YEARS!

Yep, mine started as I hit my 30 week mark. I too googled mucous plug but know that it's not that. Apparently it's normal but it was hard to believe that when at the same time around the 30th week mark, I began having slight cramps, followed by noticeable BH around 32 weeks! Hitting 33 tomorrow...and now my feet are swollen. Third trimester has been the most adventurous of all so far if I were to put it nicely!
Is anyone else hair falling out??? I've been using frizz ease from John Frieda since it came out, so it's not my shampoo. Its only coming out in this one spot. I just want to scream and cry!!! It's so bad now that I have to watch how I style my hair or just have to wear it in a ponytail
@Car0liiine I didnt have any BH with DD1 I was only dialated a fingertip at my last apt on a Friday. Three days later labor started!! Monday morning I started having contractions and 24 hours later after an hour of pushing I delivered our baby girl. I don't think that lack of BH matters in all honesty. It didn't for me anyway.
Lately for the last two weeks or so I've noticed a decrease in discharge. I've seen people comment on noticing an increase but has anyone been experiencing a decrease??
@BrunetteBabe722 I think I've had less throughout the pregnancy than normal, which is the opposite of all the stuff I read. But then again there are lots of symptoms that articles and apps talk about as if all women have them that I haven't really experienced at all. (No discharge, no BH, no shortness of breath, no constipation, no hemorrhoids, no swelling, no boob growth, just had my first RLP the other night, etc.) Pregnancy really is totally different for every woman I think. Which is why it really annoys me when other women tell me xyz is going to happen to me just because it happened to them. Ex. The first thing my co-worker said after she found out I was pregnant was "You're gonna get sharp pains in your asshole, but it's normal." WTF??? She's an idiot anyway.
Today I have felt like I constantly need to pee. I'm gonna talk to my doctor at my appointment tomorrow because I know it could be a UTI but there aren't any other symptoms with it just constantly feeling like I I need to pee.
@tmk0325 yes! For the past two or the weeks my cervix has been so sensitive. Sex has been painful which totally sucks! And the last two or three days I've been having what I think people call "lightning crotch"- it feels like the baby is stabbing me in my vagina and it also feels like the baby could fall out any minute!!! So freaky. I'll be talking to my doctor about it at my NST on Wednesday.
On top of that, I've been having all over body aches and exhausted recently, so I've been trying to rest which seems to be the only thing that helps. I don't know how I'm going to keep up with work with all of this! I finally talked to my boss today and tools her I'm struggling and need a more flexible schedule of when I work from home. She was understanding, but we'll see how it actually pans out.
BH are out of control! I started having them Friday night and they lasted all weekend. I was drinking water like crazy and laying down as much as possible. I finally called the doctors office on Sunday and they wanted me to come in to L&D to get checked out, so I spent 3 hours there hooked up to their monitors. Thankfully, I'm not in labor and my cervix is still long and closed with good amniotic fluid levels. Not really sure what else to do about them at this point, I just hope it doesn't continue like this for the next 10 weeks!
Sh*t. I had slight cramps just now (almost 34 wks) and I went to go pee. Saw a small amt of white discharge but when I wiped, there was slight discharge except it wasn't white or clear, it was faint pink/light brown.
I am laying in bed now and can feel my baby constantly kicking. In fact, these kicks are so strong that it's hard for me to be laying down!
I sent a msg through the portal to my doc. I've an appt w him Friday morning but I don't know if he will want to see me sooner than that. We shall see.
Have you guys experienced something similar? I never had spotting like discharge in terms of color. It's concerning in that the color could indicate some mixture with blood.
@Alikay20 Yes, I had that happen. My doctor said to come into l&d, but not to worry unless it was bright red, and more than "spotting." It likely is just that you aggravated your cervix, and you are getting some old blood off of that. Better safe than sorry, glad you called already - your doctor will give you the right answer, but don't be too alarmed yet!

I definitely get these and more with my first pregnancy and always asked and they say it's normal especially with the increased blood volume.. not so much with this one other than when I was in the first trimester...

I've had less this last week too (I'm 30 weeks). Coincidentally it is right when I bought a huge new pack of panty liners. Ugh.

32 weeks tomorrow, and I haven't gained any weight in the last week... scale this morning said the exact same number a week ago. The bump looks bigger and I've been measuring ahead anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks the entire pregnancy, the baby is still dancing around regularly, my eating habits haven't changed (mostly healthy), and since I've already put on 35 lbs, there's a large part of me that's a bit relieved to have a week of not gaining. But, of course, some FTM worries kick in. So, ladies, anyone have weeks in the 3rd trimester where they didn't gain anything? I saw the doctor last week and won't go again until next week.
@eshep5 I'm sorry you had to deal with palpitations too! It was really bad for me in the first trimester and then again in the third. I only had a few here and there in the second. My doctor brought me in to listen to my heart and said things sounded good and that PVCs are normal. I wish they would go away though!
@kwilliams3402 I wouldn't worry too much. With my first I had a couple weeks where I gained nothing and then would gain 2 pounds or so the next week. I was just looking back at my portal the other day to see how much I put on in the last trimester with DD to help give me a good idea of what to expect this go round. I think I had 2 two week periods like that.
@LWC112 - Thanks for sharing your experience! I want baby to keep growing, but I sure wouldn't be opposed to the number on the scale creeping up at a slower pace!! I've so far just been taking the eat pretty healthy, take daily walks, and whatever my body does, it does, approach, but the number on the scale causes me grief regardless.
@Alikay20 Yes, I had that happen. My doctor said to come into l&d, but not to worry unless it was bright red, and more than "spotting." My doc told me to lay down today and if cramps are stronger & consister and/or discharge becomes clear, I need to let him know ASAP. I didn't know why it would be an issue if discharge is clear since my concern was colored discharge but apparently it could mean I'd be leaking fluid which is no bueno.
@kwilliams3402 I just went back and looked and I weighed the same today as I did at 19 weeks (33weeks today.) But I've also had days in between then and now when I weighed up to 3 or 4 pounds more. I started out overweight so although I haven't been really doing anything to control my weight, I am more worried about gaining too much. My cousin and SIL both barely gained any weight at all, I think my cousin lost a little and both were small before pregnancy (they had bad vomiting throughout). Both had healthy, average weight babies. I wouldn't be concerned unless your doctor is. These babes really are little parasites and they will take what they need to grow right down to sucking the calcium out of your bones!
