So short of breath! Forget climbing stairs, I'm winded while talking to people! I have to pause here and there to take a deep breath. And then pregnancy brain attacks and I forget what I was talking about.

bahaha... this! My neighbor and I like to take walks together. Walking + talking is damn near impossible these days!
Am I the only one who's getting a bit worried about how this is going to progress? Like, most of us are just a little over halfway. If I already feel huge, how huge will I feel in October? If a one-pound baby is already causing bladder squish, how is a six-pound baby going to feel? If a kick to the cervix is painful today... you get the picture. I'm not trying to scare anyone and I hope I don't, but I just want to see if I'm the only one who is thinking this way. And probably that's partly because I keep complaining about the baby not moving and everyone says just wait, you'll be begging it to stop kicking you in the kidneys...
@RainMira9e Well, quite frankly, it is absolutely miserable towards the end. Hence why you so often hear pregnant women less-than-delicately exclaim "Get this kid out of me!" around their due dates. It sucks, but you'll make it I promise
I've had terrible pain and sensitivity in one of my nipples the last 3-5 days and today I woke up and it had a lump on the nipple a bit smaller than an almond. Has anyone else had anything like this? I tried searching the group but nothing has come up. I've already contacted my doc to make sure it's ok but haven't heard back yet.
@annabenanna it varies, with DD, I wasn't too bad off until 36 weeks, but she decided to stay in two more weeks (for the record, that isn't normal and *typically* doctors don't let you do that anymore) and I hated everything by 42 weeks. With DS, it was 32 weeks when I couldn't get out of a chair unassisted and literally felt like a beached whale. He came at 38 weeks. This one I have a feeling is going to be trouble even earlier. From what I have heard and from my own experience, you make it longer as a FTM. Here's to long-lasting semi-comfort!
@annabenanna I'm really trying to stay optimistic about this one, but I feel the aches and pains so much more this time... Oh well, it's totally worth it in the end
@RainMira9e I say the same thing everyday! The past few weeks my belly has been growing so quickly, and suddenly it's starting to get in the way of things. Every day it seems to get bigger, and it makes me panic about how big and uncomfortable I'll be toward the end. I've been lucky to have had a pretty easy pregnancy so far, so I'm thinking that my time to be miserable is at the end I'm also really banking on being able to start my maternity leave afterlabor, but I don't realistically if I'll make it working up until the end!
We found out yesterday we're having a girl! Which was a surprise since I'd somehow convinced myself it was a boy. Baby wasn't really moving on the ultrasound - maybe she was asleep? It made me nervous but the tech nor the doctor were concerned because everything looked good. I do have to go back in two weeks to do another check on the heart because they couldn't get her to roll over so they could get a good look. Only a few days a week will I feel movements, almost like flips. I'm hoping it gets more consistent. Is there anything that triggers it for y'all (food/drink)? I'm thinking I'm just not super sensitive to it. I try to rest quietly and have my hand on my belly, but don't pick anything up.

@morganl925 I feel mine super inconsistently as well. Cold water can trigger, as can something high in sugar. I feel it best when I lay on my back. And I actually discovered that it's harder to feel when I put my hand on my stomach - for some reason that firmer (I guess) pressure on the outside blunts the sensation on the inside.
My 22-week updates said baby is sleeping 12-14 hours per day. I knew they slept a lot, but I hadn't thought of it as that much. It explains why they might sleep through an ultrasound and also not be kicking as much!

what a great fun fact! I feel like Ella is wiggling constantly though, like maybe she's not sleeping quite that much. God I hope that's not the case when she's here... sleep baby sleep!
My tailbone hurts! If I sit for longer than an hour, it really starts to ache... and I have a desk job, so I'm basically in pain all day! I do get up and walk around occasionally, but most of my job requires me to be seated at my computer. If this keeps up, I might have to invest in a standing desk!
This is my 2nd pregnancy rodeo. I remember that some weeks were worse, like it was a growth spurt coupled with a new symptom. And remembering worrying about the 3rd trimester. Don't worry so much, our bodies adjust. And we all adapt somehow. But then eventually by the end, we just have to tell ourselves we won't be pregnant forever!
Glad I saw this thread though. Somehow knowing that everyone else is suffering with me is kinda helpful lol
Ive kind of felt like a stuffed whale the past two days and I know this heat wave is contributing. Just tight stomach muscles and then increased heartburn. And every time I eat a meal, I feel like I have no room
Ive been able to avoid prescription heart burn meds by drinking straight lemon juice w my meals and right before bed. Organic ACV works too. Papaya tablets work as well. And then I try not to chug a lot of water before I lay down. Keep almonds by your bed too, it helps when you wake up with an attack.

Can you bring a yoga exercise ball in to switch it up? I'm considering bringing mine back from storage.

@CopperBoom86 & @scostel2I've been struggling with this for awhile too! I broke my tailbone about 10 years ago & it is so painful now! I actually rigged up my own "standing desk"...I found the perfect height file box & turned it upside down on my desk to put my keyboard & mouse on & tilted my monitors up. And then when I get tired or my hip starts hurting, I move the box, tilt monitors back down, and go back to sitting. It's not pretty, and I look quite special, but whatever...it's working for me!
@CopperBoom86 same here, sometimes my tailbone feels like it's going to explode. I don't have a desk job but when we travel to see family and are in the car for a long time I end up suffering for days. Usually only a pillow/padded seat helps, along with walking around to give it a break.
Okay, so super weird - I've started noticing the tiniest little skin tags appearing on my upper chest, shoulders and even around my nipples. Like, so tiny I have actually pulled off a few thinking they were tiny blackheads or zits, but I'm pretty sure they're just little flaps of skin. I mean, what is this all about??
I love my new boobs, but I hate my nipples... I have to seriously contemplate whether or not to turn the AC on in my truck on these 90+ degree days depending on whether or not I feel like dealing with the stabbing pain caused when the cold air blows on them even through my typical 2 shirts and bra. Be really hot and miserable, or have dagger nipples and not be able to enjoy being less hot... hmmm.
I've been irrationally irritable lately. My step-mom called me last night and was asking if my mom has said anything about a baby shower and when it might be. I told her she mentioned in passing that she thought it would be best to have it after labor day so people wouldn't be out of town but that was all I knew or heard on the topic. I suggested she call my mom if she wanted to be involved in the planning. She then went on and on about how I need to send her my registry and get a list together of people I wanted to invite with their addresses, etc. etc. DID I NOT JUST TELL YOU TO CALL MY MOTHER?! I understand I will need to get those things together but you don't need them NOW considering the damn thing hasn't even been planned yet. Then she told me my Uncle, who I rarely see and have next to no relationship with, is getting married in August on a Thursday and I need to send him my address so he can send an invite. WHO GET'S MARRIED ON A THURSDAY? I mean, if you're just going to the courthouse, fine, go whatever day you want. But if you are doing a whole big thing and want people there, a Thursday afternoon wedding is not gonna fly. I'm not using my precious PTO that I'm saving for mat leave to go to your 3rd wedding Uncle Tom. Sorry. IRRATIONALLY PISSED. Oh, then she was getting all upset because she doesn't understand what a glider is vs. a rocking chair. I tried explaining it and she wasn't getting it so I told her to google it. This went on for like 10 minutes. My hormones don't have the patience.

@MRSCORKER are you sure your stepmom and my step MIL are not the same person? I don't enjoy answering the same questions 35 times. And I feel you on the Thursday wedding- not happening! I don't even like out of town Friday night weddings, because I either have to take off work or be rushed to get there on time after work.
@Mrscorker, I feel for you! My patience has been dwindling lately too. I'm usually a very patient person, but I find myself snapping at poor SO for stupid little reasons. Ugh.
OMG you guys I have the WORST SYMPTOM EVER! I think possibly worse than the nausea. I have a rash on my right elbow area and the underside of my left thigh! It's SO UGLY. I don't know what it could be?!?!? I tried googling and the results were PUPPS. But doesn't that usually start around the stretch mark area, and isn't it supposedly itchy? This one isn't itchy at all. Just ugly as sin. I don't know what to do. I'm gonna cry.
@annabenanna - I bet it's eczema or something like that. Maybe try coconut oil/thick lotion for several days. Something non scented. I've been having crazy sensitive skin to everything.
I'm also super irritable. I always hate answering the same question more than once, but it's on super drive now, where I have to stop from snapping at people at work vs. just DH.
Symptom - I only got up to pee once in the middle of the night last night, around 4am. I've been having to get up 3-4 times for the past week or two. I'm just going to count it as a win unless someone thinks it could be concerning?

I'm suddenly getting short of breath when I cry, like at an especially touching toilet paper commercial, like you do. I'll be done tearing up but feel like I just took the stairs.
I'm also getting toe cramps if I am on my feet too much.
Ok, finally had my breakdown. I've been majorly stressing about money. We have some credit card debt and its a struggle to get it paid down. With the baby coming and everything there is to do/buy, I've been getting overwhelmed. H got paid today so I was hoping we could go buy a crib or one of the other big ticket items for the nursery since we said we'd try to get those things one at a time as our finances allow. Well, I came home to find H in the garage smoking ribs in a brand new $250 smoker. I was LIVID and lost it. He alread had a smoker but wanted a better one. Now we have two smokers and no crib. Maybe the baby can just sleep in the old smoker...

1. my nipples are still itching and they already leak clear fluid so itching them just brings out more fluid... 2.I am finally feeling LO kick after complaining about not feeling LO, but she's kicking me in my bladder... 3. peeing all the time...

@MRSCORKER that sucks! Can he return it? Or can you sell the old one?
When we had DS we had a lot of credit card debt and we consolidated it so we could get it paid off. We'll be done paying it before the new baby comes am in really glad we did it.
@ByeBabyBunting I'm going to look into consolidation, I think it's probably our best option. H doesn't want to "take on more debt to pay off what we already owe" but with what we're paying in interest, I think it makes sense. Anyway, he can't return the smoker. He's already used it so it's full of ick now. Oh well, what's done is done.

@mrscorker I totally understand. We are having to be really smart financially to prepare for the baby. My boyfriend is being very helpful but unexpected expenses just keep coming up left and right. It's stressful for a pregnant momma. Hang in there.

@AllytheKid, when does the miserable start? Please tell me at 39 weeks..... not 30....
