Re: Symptoms Thread 6/6

  • @annabenanna - I bet it's eczema or something like that. Maybe try coconut oil/thick lotion for several days. Something non scented. I've been having crazy sensitive skin to everything.

I'm also super irritable. I always hate answering the same question more than once, but it's on super drive now, where I have to stop from snapping at people at work vs. just DH.

Symptom - I only got up to pee once in the middle of the night last night, around 4am. I've been having to get up 3-4 times for the past week or two. I'm just going to count it as a win unless someone thinks it could be concerning?
I think it just depends. First tri, I was up constantly during the night and now I'm down to one or sometimes none. I'm counting it as a win for now, until it gets bad again in third tri, I'm sure.

  • @mrscorker Damn, I would rip him a new one. I told my husband that if he wanted any big purchases, he had to have an equal amount of money to give me to put in our savings account. I feel like the scariest thing about marriage is being tethered to this other person you can't control. I hope he understands and apologizes and agrees to prioritize more practical goals.

  • @MRSCORKER  We're super stressed about money with baby coming, medical bills, unpaid maternity leave, and tons to buy.  We've been trying to spread out the expenses to be practical but it's so hard to wait on a lot of things.  The upside is that we've been able to wait for some good sales that just happened to come up on the big items we want.  It does seem impossible to make it work sometimes!

I can relate to your post because DH also has an expensive smoker that he's obsessed with!  Although he works in finance and is generally very conservative with money, his decisiveness sometimes turns into impulsiveness when it comes to spending money.  He's changed a lot over the years, and when we first met he spent a lot more on random shit.  I had a mini-breakdown on our baby moon in Vegas because he kept stressing out about how expensive things were, but then he would randomly order $16 margaritas at the pool or choose an expensive entree at dinner when we had planned on just sharing cheap appetizers.  It was so confusing to me!  I've learned that the best thing to do is sit down and discuss finances at a time when emotions aren't already high, otherwise it doesn't go well.

I did rip him a new one and explained, through sobs, why I was upset and I think it finally sunk in. FX!

  • @sjo_thetwins I just came on here to say that my ribs hurt when I'm sitting. It's like there's literally not enough room for them and they get squished when I sit. I asked DH if we could take 1 or 2 out, I don't really need all of them do I?

I feel this way after I eat. Even if it's a little side salad or a piece of fruit.

  • My hip and tailbone hurt all the time and I'm already starting to feel so uncomfortable. I can't even imagine how miserable it's going to be later this summer.
  • I've been so glad my feet and ankles haven't swollen from walking around Charleston. Wellllllll I got a little too cocky and hello swollen left ankle this morning.

  • I am really struggling with eating enough. I am never hungry, nothing ever looks good. It's strange cause I don't have any nausea or anything I just have 0 appetite. I am very stressed out about my birth of this baby, cause my doctor is on Mat leave and her fill in is a real asshat to say the least. I am hoping she is back before the baby comes cause I do not see eye to eye with her temporary replacement. Maybe I'm just too stressed out to eat? I'm not sure but I guess I'll mention it to jerk face at my next appointment, and hopefully he doesn't laugh at me.

I just feel like every time I eat, even the smallest amount, I want to explode. I feel so ridiculously full. It's very uncomfortable, to say the least.

  • These past two weeks or so, my weight gain has slowed/plateaued and my appetite is actually normal.  The few weeks prior, I was constantly ravenous and gaining weight like crazy.  I'm exercising more lately and trying to listen to my hunger cues and snack when I'm hungry not out of habit, but I feel like my appetite is way less intense right now.

Im assuming it's normal to go through phases like this? Belly still seems to be growing and baby is moving like crazy, and I've gained a healthy amount of weight.  It's hard not to be anxious about every little thing and just go with the changes!  Before I was panicking that I was gaining weight too rapidly!

For weeks I've had basically zero sex drive. Like, I don't remember the last time I was so disinterested in sex. I can tell it's starting to make DH crazy but I'm just like, meh...

I have a sex drive but I'm not interested in sex, if that makes any sense. I want to be intimate but I feel disgusting. It's been once a week, tops. :(

Is anyone's Husband weirded out by sex right now? I finally got my sex drive back, but H is having a mental block because "the baby is right there, this is weird". Ugh. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions or advice?

  • @Pupatella My H HASNT said anything about it but he also isn't initiating like he normally would. Maybe that's why.

Mine hasn't either... It's hurting my soul a bit :/

@Pupatella - mine hasn't said anything but it is something that crosses my mine. Just kind of seems awkward to have the baby kicking while we're...
  • Yesterday was the first day that I wasn't truly ravenous...I actually felt totally stuffed for like 7 hours after my lunch.
