WAYDTGKU: sex, pnv, OPK, decided to temp the past week, green tea, pineapple core, acupuncture, healthy lifestyle
R/R/CS: so got a +OPK yesterday and this morning. Felt the usual pinch and cramp of O on its correct side. I'll wait a few days and then head to TWW. I have to say this has been. The best cycle ever. Hopefully it can result in a bfp.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? water, lots of water Try to avoid overly processed food Apple cider vinegar in water (recent change) Attempting to cut back on skin products with lots of chemicals but this one is hard Activity daily even if it's just walking the dog. My fitbit has helped keep me on top of this
R/R/CS: I've given up on temping this cycle. It's been impossible with DS' erratic sleep cycle and I was getting temps all over the place. I'll try again next cycle when he hopefully isn't teething anymore. Also no signs of O yet. Watery CM on and off but no EWCM, and OPKs haven't been anywhere near positive.
GTKY: I'll try to return to add this in a little while. My 5 minutes of free time (AKA hiding in the bathroom) is up
WAYDTGKU: charting, prenatal, opk, fixing my back at PT, acupuncture, eating healthy, reading up
R/R/CS: Looks like I'd be the most fertile on our wedding night next month. Thanks a lot, Zika, for benching me! It also looks like AF won't be making her appearance during our honeymoon unless she has other plans next cycle, so that's good. FI brought home a FitBit for me last night....love him!!
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? 1. get the right amount of sleep for your body 2. have a short commute (wish I was following this) 3. wear sunscreen (FI's father and sister got skin cancer) 4. stay away from drugs and cigarettes 5. keep good people around you - mental health is sooooo important
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Yay for a positive OPK, @leekat14! FX this is your cycle!
@NYTino24 Early congratulations on your wedding! That's so exciting!
Cycle: 11/9
CD: 26
WAYDTGKU: done with the "doing" portion of this cycle. One more high temp will confirm O!
R/R/CS: It's Friday!
GTKY: 1. Plenty of sleep. 2. Lots of water. 3. Walking. We walk our puppy almost every day. Good for people and good for pups! 4. I've started back into yoga lately. It's so good for both the body and the mind. Mental health is super important, too. 5. We've been cutting out unhealthy snacks lately. We found that our meals are decent, but we would snack on not-great things. Replacing that with fruit or yogurt has been great for us!

Laparoscopy and Endometriosis dx February 2016
HSG and SA all clear! September 2016 Testing with RE October 2016 BFP 11/5/2016 ~ EDD 7/19/2016
R/R/CS: It is finally Friday!!! Yahooooooo!!! That makes me really happy...and it is National Doughnut Day. So I stopped and got all my employees boxes of doughnuts for breakfast. Plus I had two myself (I have been mostly good this week). My rant is I felt really weird last night trying to HIO. My weight gain has really been on my mind lately, and while I have started losing again and feeling better, for some reason I felt really insecure while in missionary. Had to switch up positions.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? This is really good for me to list. Help me get more motivated to continue getting back into the swing of things. 1) Drink at least half of your weight in water. If you weigh 200 pounds, drink 100 ounces of water. 2) Fitbit!!! Count all your steps and make sure you get enough quality sleep! 3) Eat as clean as possible. 80/20 rule 4) MyFitnessPal (MFP). Helped me lose 100 pounds. And has helped me get back on track. Even with a couple minor slips this week, I was still able to finish each day day under my goal. Wouldnt have known otherwise without MFP. 5) Do something active at least once a day, for 30 minutes (This is the one I am struggling with - usually I fight with food, not workouts)
If I remove the ewcm I've got cross hairs on cd17. If I keep it I've got nothing. There's a constant low pressure in my lower abdomen. My temp has not stayed up, it's been going up and down. Bfn all over the place, and no af so I'm doubting it was cd17. Doctor said I did o, but I think he was just saying that because my chart said so. I'm ready to scream.
GTKY: 1) drink enough water 2) don't eat so many carbs 3) lift heavy 4) moisturize after a shower 5) laugh every day
Idk. I have a lot of advice but I don't lead by example so well.

@Scarlett830 I started off not temping because it was adding too much stress to H. I couldn't resist this week but now I'm realizing it's even more messed up because our bedroom has either been a sauna or an ice box. Sigh...
@nytino24 how long have you been doing acupuncture? I'm a month in and really enjoy it. And good call on the sunscreen. I need to be better on that!
@pretzel2plus1 We've been trying to do the same thing with our eating this month. I'm shocked but neither one of us seem to miss the junk!
@grabberblue2010 Exactly why I did the GTKY, felt like I just needes some motivation to keep on with the healthy lifestyle and try to mix it up! I've been trying to drink a pint of water before I eat anything and I think it's really helped to control my eating!
@mythril Laughter! Yes! I have to remember to not be so serious and actually enjoy life!
R/R/CS: so I took my first opk yesterday. Negative as expected. I also enjoy spending $$ and bought the clear blue digital advanced which also gave me a low this morning. I hope that my surge does get picked up. Never done opk before so I'm sort of nervous, even though that's weird. Been traveling for work and it was too hard to check in but I'm back now!
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? 1. Don't worry about work when you aren't at work. I don't follow this one very well. And @nytino24 I also have a long commute. And an in NY 2. Water! Half your weight in oz every day. 3. Eat fruits and veggies for snacks. 4. I'm with @mythril moisturize after every shower. 5. Floss
i totally don't follow all these all the time sadly. Still working on me!
@beary67 hooray for the trigger and scheduled iui!!
@grabberblue2010 congrats on that weight loss! I also get insecure sometimes about my body during sex. It gets in my head and I hate it and have trouble enjoying myself.
@mythril I'm so sorry about your confusing cycle. I hope you get some answers soon. Can you do a us to see if you ovulated?
@pretzel2plus1 hooray for O and moving on to tww tomorrow!
@scarlett830 no sign of o yet for me either! Hopefully soon for us both.
@nytino24 where are you going in your honeymoon? Sorry if you've already said I've been away a couple days. Also I love my fit bit. I've had one since 2013 and I think H is getting me a new one for my birthday next week!
R/R/CS: So every cycle I have used CDAD I have always gotten a flashing smile by CD14, usually O CD14-18 and well its CD 14 and still getting low readings. I was really hoping this stupid cold wasnt going to delay O but I think it might be. I just really hope it doesnt delay it too much cause DH has another work trip and this one is all the way in Florida so I dont think I can just go see him.
But in other news **TW someone elses pregnancy/baby** My SIL is having her c-section today! My newest nephew should be here in a few hours. I am equally excited and slightly depressed. I cant wait to meet him and super excited for my BIL/SIL, this is their last child. 3 wonderful boys! But I had really hoped I would be pregnant with her. Her 2nd and my 1st we were pregnant together for. And we have been trying pretty much her entire pregnancy. But pity party over, cant wait to meet my nephew and my sons newest little buddy!
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
1. Drink a ton of water! everything else is just a bunch of unneeded sugar and crap 2. Don't smoke. 3. Make time for exercise 4. Everything in moderation. 5. Pay attention to labels. Some things that advertise how healthy they are, really arent.
R/R/CS: My temp was up from yesterday but still within my baseline so I don't think I've O'd yet... come on temp spike!
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? 1. Seems to be a common answer but lots of water. Since I've started drinking more water I feel so much better. 2. The week of caffeine withdrawal is worth it. I feel much better not being dependent on it. I'm not nearly as tired as I thought I'd be. 3. Don't completely cut out the foods you love when eating healthier. If you do that you're likely to fail (as I learned from experience). Instead just eat a smaller amount and add some healthier options to make you full. 4. Have an accountability partner. I do much better now that DH is trying to eat healthier and exercise with me. If you haven't seen it there is an awesome thread here where @furbabymom2007 does an awesome job keeping track of our weight goals. It's really helped me keep on track! 5. If you are working out to videos at home (ie yoga or pilates) it helps to watch the video first then try and do the moves with the video. Otherwise the positions can be kind of hard to see the TV and do them correctly at the same time.

R/R/CS: blah, still waiting to o. clomid seems to have delayed it as I was o-ing on cd 13-15 the last 4 cycles. now i'm hoping for sunday or monday with dh and kids camping this weekend. ETA: I just got a + opk!!! I had absolutely NO gradual darkening of the line this time so I wasn't expecting it yet. Now I'm waiting for a call back to schedule my iui for tomorrow! eek!
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? 1- drink tons of water 2- don't stress too much and take life so seriously. 3- be active every day 4- sunscreen is a necessity! 5- don't eat processed foods
@beary67 - YAY!!! I was terrified last month of that trigger. Had H do it for me. Did not feel a thing. So excited for you. FX that this is your cycle! @leekat14 - Awesome GTKY. Thanks for this! Water does help tremendously. I did not realize how much I was not drinking until I drank about 60oz and had not peed.Talk about dehydration. And I agree, it is a great aid in feeling fuller faster with meals! @JediAlly85 - Congrats to your new nephew! How exciting
@marriedhamstermom Changing my lifestyle and eating has been lots easier with DH joining in AND I think he feels better too so it is much easier to keep at it! I think I always made the excuse that I couldn't change because he wouldn't want to eat the same things/do the same stuff. I'm glad I was wrong
WAYDTGKU: Letrozole, green tea (for the first time this morning). The rest of the usual stuff.
R/R/CS: AF is gone so I decided to start the green tea. I've previously referred to tea as 'hot garbage water' so I wasn't excited. I bought mandarin flavoured and took someone's suggestion that I might prefer it cold, and it... wasn't terrible. Not something I'd want to drink for the fun of it, but it wasn't like I was gagging it down this morning.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
@MelissaM090 - I agree with the green tea. I really need to get back into drinking it. But man oh man it is hard to swallow. Hot OR cold. Meh......and LOL to your gif... love it
R/R/CS: I am so glad it's Friday!! H is being super cranky though so I'm actually looking forward to going into work to get away.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
I can't think of five, but my main one is to shop on the perimeter of the store only. Stay out of the aisles! It keeps me from buying a whole bunch of processed and unhealthy food.
Married 07.21.07 DS#1 01.23.09 DS#2 08.01.11 TTC#3 08.31.15 Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy/HSG 05.16.17 Hysteroscopy 10.04.17 10.05.17 Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy/HSG 01.10.19 Left tube removed dx: Endometriosis, Adenomyosis BC: February-October 2019 TTA: November-December 2019 NTNP: January 2020!
R/R/CS: Had some EWCM this morning, which is completely out of character...I've never ovulated prior to CD 19 since I went off the pill two years ago and started charting. Probably just another one of my weird multi-EWCM-batch cycles. But we'll try to have sex tonight or tomorrow, just in case.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
GENERAL NOTE: I used to be super healthy, but then I had a baby and have had to dedicate the 2 hours a day I used to spend working out instead pumping breastmilk and cleaning/preparing bottles. So I don't currently follow some of these right now. But I'm cutting pumping over the next month, so I'm about to be back in.
1) have an exercise regimen. Seriously, if you don't have one now, start one now. I truly believe the fact that I was in excellent shape when I got pregnant is why I only gained 28lbs and it all fell off on its own over 6 weeks (the breastfeeding may have helped on the back end too). I should have gained 100lbs with what I was eating while pregnant (Second Lunch was a thing for like 5 months - like a FULL second lunch around 3pm. Every day. Normally involving French fries or a milkshake).
2) drink lots of water and snack on fruits and veggies
3) make lunch for the next day the night before - that way even if you're running late in the morning you can bring it to work with you, and you don't wind up "having" to go out to eat because you didn't have time to make your lunch. this is super important in my life right now because no matter how early I get up, I'm still almost always 10 minutes late to work.
4) buy cute workout clothes. you'll be more likely to use them.
5) join a gym that is close to your office and bring your clothes in with you. Seriously, if I had to go home to change before working out there is almost zero chance I would wind up working out during the week. Or, even better, get up and leave for the gym early in the morning, when you're still too tired to question yourself. get it over with.
WAYDTGKU: Just chillin' right now, will start everything on Monday!
R/R/CS: So hard to get out of bed this morning, but then I remembered it's Friday! Not really doing anything TTC related right now, I don't even want to think about it!
GTKY: 1. Drink water like it's going out of style. I love drinking lemon water especially. 2. I was going to say fruit and veggies, but you all have that covered, so I am going to say, get a good nights sleep. 3. Get at least 30 mins of activity in a day, sex counts! 4. Spend time with your dog ( or any animal ) helps reduce stress levels. 5. Laugh! It makes you happy and spreads joy to others around you.
R/R/CS: I'm literally the grumpiest grump of all time today. We're taking our Guides camping this weekend starting at 6 tonight. There are maybe 3 planned activities, no lists, nothing. I'm having a mild panic attack because I need all kinds of lists.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? I'm not qualified for this. I've had a donut for breakfast 3/5 days this week. The other two days I didn't eat breakfast.
R/R/CS: I can already tell today is not going to be my day. First, today is month day change. We have officially been TTGP (successfully) for 8 months. Second, right as I walked through DS bedroom door this morning to wake him up, I stepped in a pile of throw up. He was so hot to the touch but wouldn't let me take his temperature. I can't really take time off work today. We have two interviews and we are extremely busy. And unfortunately, we can't work from home. Luckily, I have the best MIL who watches him for me. She doesn't have AC and it's going to be 106 today! So hopefully they will head back to my house to enjoy some AC. I just wish I could be there to cuddle with him when he is so sick.
GTKY: What are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
1. Water! And lots of it!
2. Always take the stairs, avoid the elevators.
3. When you want a snack, eat fruits and veggies.
4. Get a Fitbit (or something like it) and walk!
5. Try to reach 10,000+ steps a day.
With that being said, I don't always follow my own advice!
<b>WAYDTGKU: </b>Labs said my Vitamin D was borderline low, so I'm adding back 2000IU along with my other vitamins and supplements. 200MG B6 and Mucinex starts CD7-17, and Doctor added 100mg Progesterone for 3-12DPO. Also have my first intro Creighton session scheduled next Thursday, to learn more precise terminology for CM tracking.
<b>R/R/CS</b>: Bloodwork came back not bad, but not perfect. Estrodiol is running a little on the high side, like one standard deviation, fine, but then it goes up almost TWO standard deviations above normal during my LP. Yikes. Progesterone is not low, it's actually also higher than average, but factoring in the Estrodiol rise, it's throwing the levels off balance. Then it's also dropping off rather steeply at the end of my LP, so the extra boost - he said 100mg is a lower dose - should help even things out. Next bloodwork isn't till July, so that's cool.
<b>GTKY: </b>I have had my levels of healthy habits ebb and flow over the years for sure. And I will try not to repeat too much of the great advice that has already been said, especially <b>WATER </b>and<b> physical activity</b>, But right now...
1. Plenty of <b>SLEEP</b>. This also includes a quality <b>NAP </b>if need be. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/11/best-nap-napping-tips_n_5648651.html
2. Take time to slow down your mind, whether prayer or mediation, an easy walk, mindful stretching and deep breathing, journaling, reading daily uplifting/inspirational devotionals etc. - something to help <b>clear your mind</b>, center and be present in this moment. :) And quality pet-time counts, too, right @PepperAT!!?! :D
3. Make the switch to <b>glass food containers</b> as much as possible. I found a cute set at ModCloth I treated myself to for Christmas for small-medium portions: https://www.modcloth.com/shop/kitchen-dining/savor-the-scenery-container-set , and found a couple great ones just a couple weeks ago at Target - pyrex with a retro design on them, I got the teal, but they also have white and plain ones of course, https://www.target.com/p/pyrex-4-cup-storage-plus-round-storage-turquoise-squared/-/A-50636878 and I have one really big Ziplock brand one I sort of inherited from my MiL which we LOVE and not sure if you can get them anymore: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ziploc-6pc-VersaGlass-Container-Variety-Pack/15819201 There are maybe still the small blue ones, which we totally love and I will probably buy more of: https://www.hollar.com/products/ziploc-versaglass-storage-container-16-ounces?htm_tid=pla&gclid=Cj0KEQjw1cS6BRDvhtKL89em1oIBEiQAtZO5x0FZNkZVYz7ZguY52WgUGeFwNmzlsf6KCPJLRhTkuBsaAlGg8P8HAQ
Point is, you are potentially putting HOT FOOD into plastic containers, that material is breaking down on a chemical level and getting into your food. Then you are eating it and putting it into your body. There is SO MUCH in our environment we can't control, but that one is such an easy one to fix. Plus plastic containers get smelly after a while and hold odors, which glass won't. We also use <b>mason jars</b> for lots of stuff. I can't say I've completely made the switch, but we are working on it in our house.
4. Be mindful when shopping. What I buy at the store will end up in my and/or my family's bodies. So if I don't buy it, we won't eat it. Shopping the <strike>aisles</strike> perimeter/staying OUT of the aisles, like @linzrunz said, and also making a point to <b>have snackable fresh fruits and vegetables on hand</b>. Green apples, baby carrots, fresh sweet peppers, zucchini, celery etc. The minute I start slicing a pepper for dinner, DH comes through and just wants to munch it raw! So making it easy for ppl to reach for fresh stuff and limiting the amount of packaged snack foods in the house kind of forces your hand. ;) in a good way!
5. More mindful shopping, if you must purchase packaged foods, look vigilantly for <b>non-GMO and NO SOY</b>! My doctor is adamant about this, too. Especially for TTC, the phyto-estrogens can seriously throw off your hormones, and the added soy is processed into almost everything. It's terrible. And it's hard to avoid in those types of foods, so it makes it that much easier to just eat more whole, real, nutritious foods instead. Good example for us is making a point only to get non-GMO corn chips. We love chips and salsa, but it doesn't have to be Tostitos or Doritos, so when I look for and buy the non-GMO ones, no one misses a thing!
R/R/CS: well I'm 100% confused about my chart and my body so I'm just waiting to see what's happening. I got my packet in the mail yesterday for the reproductive medicine place that I'm going to later this month and I was so excited to read all about it! Now I want June 20th to hurry up and get here! I've been pretty bummed out lately about TTC so I'm sorry that I haven't been as active on here recently.
GTKY: 1. Aim for a gallon of water a day 2. Do you really need that dessert? 3. Lift weights along with doing cardio 4. Try to eat as many home cooked meals as possible 5. Remember to relax and have time for your mind and not just your body.
Looks like we are all #TeamFitBit - I know I love mine!

GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? Similar to others, I drink 100 oz. of water a day, I believe in laughing (typically at myself), my Five-Minute Journal keeps me sane-ish, I try to eat a healthy breakfast even though I don't like to eat in the morning and we are eating more locally sourced fruits, veggies and proteins lately. Feels good!

That was a big fear of mine. @mythril sorry about the confusing cycle. Hopefully you get some answers soon. @beary67 Nice job with the trigger! Good luck with everything tomorrow. I feel excited for you :-) @sandwichlover I've been meaning to ask you for awhile--what is your favorite sandwich? @jedially85 Congrats on your new nephew! Hopefully when you see his sweet little face you'll forget all about your frustrations. @dilynne I think a great healthy living tip would be to not eat donuts less than 5/5 days...you're doin' great! @marriedhamstermom I am loving not being dependent on coffee, too! Full disclosure, though--I've been drinking it the past couple days (I figure it doesn't matter quite so much when I'm on my period). BUT I know that I will be able to give it up tomorrow with no negative effects. @melissam090 I'm glad you liked the iced tea better. I remember the first time you described tea as "hot garbage water" and occasionally I think of that now when drinking tea and...what a gross description, lol!!! @linzrunz AF is gone for me, too. Hope to see ya never!!! @delujm0 I like your healthy living tips. I wish I was better at making my lunch before hand. And I totally agree that cute workout clothes are a great motivator! @kirstinH88 sorry your day got off to a crummy start. Hope you and your son feel better! @mokay19 Sorry TTC has been bumming you out. It can be a total buzz kill for life. Hopefully time passes quickly for you until your appt!
Cycle: 10/10 (I hate looking at that)
CD: 5
WAYDTGKU: not a whole lot at the moment, but AF is officially gone so I'll start at least thinking about it now
R/R/CS: I have a baby shower tomorrow which I'm not super excited for but at least it will be CD6 and not CD1. In other news, it's Friday and the sun is shining!
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? I don't think I'll have anything innovative to add, but:
1. Try not to sit on my ass all day 2. Drink water--we sound like a hydrated group 3. I've found that paying for work-out classes in advance really helps hold me accountable. It's also more motivating if you sign up with friends. 4. Don't buy unhealthy snacks. I love/hate when H goes grocery shopping because he shops like a child (chips, cookies, sugary cereals). 5. Drink light beer (lol).
R/R/CS: I'm getting over my depressed feeling. The sun is out today for the first time in a week, and it's helping. I also feel better knowing I can fight the charge against me from Enterprise. If you didn't remember or see, those jerks are trying to charge me for someone else's damage to the trunk before I rented the car.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? 1.) Coconut oil as a moisturizer after showering - face, arms, legs, whatever 2.) Organic food - as much as possible, but it's not possible 24/7 for me 3.) Strength train as much as or more than cardio - I am happy with my size but always want to be more toned 4.) Drink lots of water - the teacher next to me was always having to watch my class so I could run to the bathroom. I have a cute cup that holds 24 oz. I tried to drink one before lunch and one after lunch while I was working. 5.) Arbonne's night cream
@MollyandD I'm glad you are feeling better but still sorry for the whole Enterprise thing. I know I won't be using them again. Enjoy some sunshine in your life (BRB, going to buy coconut oil)

@ahrains thank you! I'm feeling much better knowing my credit card company won't pay them unless I authorize it. And coconut oil is great. I spend a little extra getting the organic cold-pressed kind, but it's not that bad. Maybe $7 or $8 for a jar that lasts a long time. I use it on my legs after I shave. It's super oily at first, but once it absorbs, I'm left very moisturized and smooth. I use it on my face too and it doesn't clog pores.
@KirstinH88 oh no, so sorry to hear your ds is sick. Hope he is better soon!
@Businesswife you have great tips! I've made the switch to mostly glass but still have some plastic containers laying around. I need to just toss them!
R/R/CS: OMG I'm so pissed today. So, I have a side baking business. I was extremely busy with it for years, and had to stop because I was constantly working and needed a break. I took an order for this weekend and it's my first big one in ages as it's for a good friend's daughter. I've always done her birthdays. Anyway, I took today off from work to tackle part of it (she wanted Star Wars cupcakes, and I'm making some detailed fondant toppers).
We we built a new house and closed a year ago. There were major issues with my kitchen cabinets, and I've been arguing with warranty for 8 months now. So yesterday at 4PM, they call and say they are starting work on them tomorrow and I need to completely empty the kitchen because they need to mask everything off in order to sand and spray them. Which also means, by default, I have no use of my kitchen. FUCK. So, the contents of my kitchen cabinets are all over my dining room:
So hey we're supposed to be here first thing to start work. At 10:30 someone shows up and was all "where is everyone" which was super cute. So turns out after I emptied everything out, they aren't coming until 12-2, and...AND...that there probably won't be any work today because they cabinet company needs to look at the doors and shit that need to be replaced before refinishing everything (which is what I argued about yesterday all damn day). So now my house is upside down and I'm wasting the day waiting around to find out what's going to happen. Upside is I should hopefully be able to bake without dragging my shit over to my super kind neighbor's house. Dear builder:
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
I don't know it this will end up being 5 things, but the big one for me is limiting my carbs. I lost 110lbs in 10.5 months (hubby lost 170) by limiting carbs. We've kept it off by doing the same for 6 years now. I almost never eat any wheat products, and I limit my grains strictly overall. They trigger me bad. I indulge once in a while but it's very, very rare since I feel awful after. So that's my big one! Keep active, even if it's just walking a mile a day. Limit the alcohol, and make your own drink mixes instead of the bottled junk. They taste so much better and cut out the crap.
@pretzel2plus1- I completely agree about yoga & mental health. I try to do yoga every day, but the day has been getting away from me more often than not lately.
@GrabberBlue2010 - congrats on losing 100lbs! I also use MFP, and I'm aiming to lose about 60lbs or maybe a little more.
@jedially85 - Congrats on the new nephew! I understand how it can be a mixed bag of feelings with something like that.
@Krys - That would drive me crazy! I also have a side baking business, but I just started recently so it hasn't quite taken off yet.
Cycle: 1 of active TTC after 3 of NTNP.
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: CM, starting OPKs this cycle.
R/R/CS: I am really not a patient person. I want AF to go away right now so I can start actually doing something on the TTC front.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? 1. Other people have said it, but it can't be emphasized enough - DRINK LOTS OF WATER. 2. Replace your bad habits. Whenever I'm in a snacky mood, I try being active or drinking a flavored tea. I have this one that's vanilla caramel flavored made by Bigelow. It really satisfies my sweet tooth. 3. See your doctor(s) regularly and take any meds you need. It's always a good idea to be aware of any health issues you have and stay on top of them. This includes therapy if you need it. 4. Don't try to cut out everything. If chocolate makes you happy for example, don't completely deprive yourself, or you're setting yourself up for failure. Just be aware of how much you're eating and keep it to a reasonable amount. 5. Stay away from fad diets. I used to have a room mate who would go on these crazy diets, like one that was meant for people undergoing surgery. Yes, the weight would come off, but as soon as she started eating normally again, it would come right back. Plus, a lot of them can be really dangerous. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Oh! I almost forgot a super-huge biggie for me is always get your PAP every year. I do mine around my birthday so I don't forget. That crap about only needing it every three years after a certain age or whatever? Utter crap. Every year. No matter what. It's really not that big a deal to get it done, and PS could actually save your life.
Sad story: <div class=" Spoiler">My dear sweet friend and would-be bridesmaid passed away about a year and a half ago, before the wedding, because long story short, she listened to that crap 3-year-pap suggestion the insurance companies are putting out now. She had cervical cancer that had spread to her ute before they found it. No kids yet, but an awesome boyfriend who stuck by her through all this and had also proposed! Had the radical hysterectomy at like, 37. Went through all the chemo. Then the radiation. Then that was it. I can't handle it. She was seriously the most beautiful person and I could get SO MAD because cancer took her from this planet and my friend from my life. So ya. Go get your pap if you haven't already this year. And tell your friends to do the same. <3<3<3</div><p> </p>
Re: WTO Friday
Cycle: 7/5
CD: 17
WAYDTGKU: sex, pnv, OPK, decided to temp the past week, green tea, pineapple core, acupuncture, healthy lifestyle
R/R/CS: so got a +OPK yesterday and this morning. Felt the usual pinch and cramp of O on its correct side. I'll wait a few days and then head to TWW. I have to say this has been. The best cycle ever. Hopefully it can result in a bfp.
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
water, lots of water
Try to avoid overly processed food
Apple cider vinegar in water (recent change)
Attempting to cut back on skin products with lots of chemicals but this one is hard
Activity daily even if it's just walking the dog. My fitbit has helped keep me on top of this
Cycle: 1/1
CD: 18
WAYDTGKU: The usual, minus temping (see below)
R/R/CS: I've given up on temping this cycle. It's been impossible with DS' erratic sleep cycle and I was getting temps all over the place. I'll try again next cycle when he hopefully isn't teething anymore.
Also no signs of O yet. Watery CM on and off but no EWCM, and OPKs haven't been anywhere near positive.
GTKY: I'll try to return to add this in a little while. My 5 minutes of free time (AKA hiding in the bathroom) is up
CD: 1
WAYDTGKU: charting, prenatal, opk, fixing my back at PT, acupuncture, eating healthy, reading up
R/R/CS: Looks like I'd be the most fertile on our wedding night next month. Thanks a lot, Zika, for benching me! It also looks like AF won't be making her appearance during our honeymoon unless she has other plans next cycle, so that's good. FI brought home a FitBit for me last night....love him!!
GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
1. get the right amount of sleep for your body
2. have a short commute (wish I was following this)
3. wear sunscreen (FI's father and sister got skin cancer)
4. stay away from drugs and cigarettes
5. keep good people around you - mental health is sooooo important

R/R/CS: It's Friday!
GTKY:

WAYDTGKU: Temping for now.
80/20 rule
4) MyFitnessPal (MFP).

WAYDTGKU: stuff
R/R/CS:
so I took my first opk yesterday.
And an in NY
2. Water! Half your weight in oz every day.
3. Eat fruits and veggies for snacks.
4. I'm with @mythril moisturize after every shower.
5. Floss
i totally don't follow all these all the time sadly. Still working on me!
@leekat14 yay for O and good timing! Fx for you !

WAYDTGKU: PNVs, Met, OPKs, all the sex!
But in other news **TW someone elses pregnancy/baby**
My SIL is having her c-section today!
1. Drink a ton of water! everything else is just a bunch of unneeded sugar and crap
2. Don't smoke.
3. Make time for exercise
4. Everything in moderation.
5. Pay attention to labels. Some things that advertise how healthy they are, really arent.

WAYDTGKU: monitoring CM, sex when we feel like it
R/R/CS: Had some EWCM this morning, which is completely out of character...I've never ovulated prior to CD 19 since I went off the pill two years ago and started charting.
Month/ Cycle: 11/11

WAYDTGKU: Just chillin' right now, will start everything on Monday!
R/R/CS: So hard to get out of bed this morning, but then I remembered it's Friday! Not really doing anything TTC related right now, I don't even want to think about it!
GTKY:

GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related? I'm not qualified for this. I've had a donut for breakfast 3/5 days this week. The other two days I didn't eat breakfast.

GTKY:
1. Aim for a gallon of water a day
2. Do you really need that dessert?
3. Lift weights along with doing cardio
4. Try to eat as many home cooked meals as possible
5. Remember to relax and have time for your mind and not just your body.

@nytino24 boo, sorry about CD1. Great that you won't have AF for your wedding! That was a big fear of mine.
@mythril sorry about the confusing cycle. Hopefully you get some answers soon.
@beary67 Nice job with the trigger! Good luck with everything tomorrow. I feel excited for you :-)
@sandwichlover I've been meaning to ask you for awhile--what is your favorite sandwich?

2. Drink water--we sound like a hydrated group

GTKY: what are your top 5 healthy living tips? Anything from products you use, daily habits, food or exercise related?
1.) Coconut oil as a moisturizer after showering - face, arms, legs, whatever
2.) Organic food - as much as possible, but it's not possible 24/7 for me
3.) Strength train as much as or more than cardio - I am happy with my size but always want to be more toned
4.) Drink lots of water - the teacher next to me was always having to watch my class so I could run to the bathroom. I have a cute cup that holds 24 oz. I tried to drink one before lunch and one after lunch while I was working.
5.) Arbonne's night cream

WAYDTGKU: all the things

Sad story:
<div class=" Spoiler">My dear sweet friend and would-be bridesmaid passed away about a year and a half ago, before the wedding, because long story short, she listened to that crap 3-year-pap suggestion the insurance companies are putting out now. <3<3<3</div><p>
