  • @Rachnan my clinic gave me Valium just like @dragonfaerie 's.  Just like her I did make me groggy and I slept pretty much the day of transfer and the day after...

@dragonfaerie, I know you had just started a new role at work after your transfer, how'd you handle the stress?

I am back at work today and it just so happens that I have all these projects starting for me (I'm still pretty new at my job too) and I was super stressed and started cramping pretty bad.  I'm so scared I blew my chances.  I found myself crying because I felt so overwhelmed. I've actually started crying for no reason here and there last couple of days.  I'm just a mess.  To top that I was an idiot this morning and at 5dp5dt I POAS and of course got a BFN, while I know it's still too early, I'm still a bit bummed because I keep thinking about the bouts of stress that hit me between transfer day and today and wonder if I ruined my own chances.  Sorry ladies, just had to vent, I know I'm doing this all to myself and I really shouldn't, but I can't help it... :(

  • @jenn6782 The first week was really hard and stressful, but last week went much more smoothly. Everyone has been extremely patient and helpful so I feel like I am settling in well. Thank you!

Don't worry too much about your stress. I had a few crying days my first week here too. Just take deep breaths and try to calm yourself as quickly as possible. After a stressful or anxious moment, I always rub my belly and just talk to my little one (even before I was sure he/she was in there.) It helped soothe me to think about soothing them. You got this!

It's official I have a BFN. We still have 10 frozen so we are sending a request to insurance to see if they will cover another FET. I just need to wait for AF to show up and then we will work on a new protocol. Tentative transfer date will be July 26th, 28th or Aug 4th.

  • Hi ladies, I'm feeling all sorts of discouraged.  Although beta isn't until Monday, I think I'm pretty much out.  Tested this morning at 7dp5dt with FRER and it was stark white.  Not even a second evap line to at least give me some glimmer of hope.  I had a cry or two this morning and I'm sure I'll have more through the day.  I'm supposed to go out to a nice dinner with DH this Saturday to celebrate my birthday that's coming up on Tuesday, but I don't think I'll be up for that.  I just want to curl up in bed and cry  :'(
  • @jenn6782 Don't count yourself out yet! It's still early

  • @dragonfaerie Thank you for your encouragement; I'll do my best to still keep hope.. just getting harder as I see most of the ladies got their BFP when they POAS by 5 or 6dp5dt
  • @jenn6782 I know it's discouraging, but everybody is different. And especially if you are having a singleton and it's your first, your levels may not be high enough for a POAS. Praying!

  • @jenn6782 please keep the faith and try not to stress. I poas before my beta and the stick was negative, blood tests positive. I freaked out but here I am about to go for my ultasound on Monday. It's a false negative and don't do it again.

  • @dragonfaerie **child mentioned/previous preg mentioned** thank you again for your encouragement.  With my son from my previous marriage it was a natural conception and I didn't POAS until I felt "off" for a couple of weeks and by then I was already 8 weeks pregnant so idk if I would have shown positive on a stick early or not, but you're right, it's not over yet, and maybe it's a late bloomer I got in me...

@sumo2519 thank you for sharing your experience with me and your supporting words; I sure do hope I have your luck!  Congrats on your BFP!

@wishingforluck I appreciate your encouragement.  I will keep trucking and keep up the faith
  • @jenn6782 I got a BARELY visible line on a wondfo at 7DP5DT and my first beta sucked at 35 9DP5DT.  I go back tomorrow for my second beta, but we think he was just a lazy implanter!  maybe you're in the same boat!
  • @PerraSucia thank you for sharing your experience, I hope my is a late bloomer as well!  And don't worry, I'm sure your beta will keep going up!
  • Have any of you had to use progesterone suppositories, i am supposed to start them tomorrow twice a day so naturally i was thinking in the morning before work and then in the afternoon after i get home, however wont they just run right out as they melt.

  • I do Crinone 2x a day, morning and before bed. I was told it's better if your walking around because it helps absorb, but they can be a little messy so wear a liner!

  • @kjplaza I used the progesterone tabs with my IUI's. I would do one in the morning when I woke up and the other right before going to bed. They are very messy- it's like thick cm and sometimes you'll see it in the toilet when you pee too. I had to wear a pantyliner and change it throughout the day. They aren't awful though. Also, my nurse warned me that after being on them for awhile, they can cause a little bit of spotting from your cervix/vagina being a little irritated from the tabs. I think I was  on them for 2 1/2 weeks at a time and never saw spotting.

  • Got the call; BFN.  Gutted.  Even though I was expecting it, the news didn't come any easier when it was official.  Going to jump directly into the next cycle so just gotta wait for AF to show her face.  We are looking at early July for next transfer.  My RE suggested that we add in acupuncture this time too. He said it can't hurt and can only help.  Anyway, thank you ladies for all your support and encouragement.  I'll be lurking around and waiting to see continuous high betas, more BFPs, and healthy pregnancies.
