GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts?
yep! Glasses since the second grade and got contacts in high school. I was really bad and left them in for months at a time. Then they started bothering me so I would take them out at night. Then a few years ago I got an eye ulcer and basically had to sit in the dark for a couple of days while it healed (this is when I thought it would be a good idea to binge watch The Walking Dead.... I am not a smart woman). Now I wear daily contacts and I love them. Wear them for the day and throw them away. Though, if it gets to around noon I start trying to decide if it is worth wasting a pair and whether or not I should just wear my backup glasses.

R/R/CS: Yesterday was kind of weird. I was at my umpteenth acupuncture session and as soon as I closed my eyes, it totally felt like I was moving/floating/spinning! And not just dreamy, slow movement - i was *really* moving and it went on like this for several minutes! If that had happened every time, I wouldn't have thought anything of it, but I thought it was particularly weird (and of course, I'm SSing as a result). I also was strangely emotional last night while watching a tv show that really didn't warrant it. I'm an easy crier, but....really????

I know I'm reading too much into this stuff. I need to be stopped before it gets out of hand.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts? Yep! I wear contacts most of the time (since I was 13), but often wear glasses on the weekends if I'm just relaxing. I made sure to get glasses that I would be happy wearing out though, so I do wear them from time to time if I want a different look. I have been thinking about lasik recently....but I'm not sure I'll get the courage!

Cycle: 9/5 (Edit: Month Change as of June).

CD/DPO: 35/2dpiui

Testing: Debating testing at all before my blood work test on 6/13. I don't want to test and get a false positive because of the trigger shot. But I also would like to experience what it feels like to POAS at home and get that elusive BFP.

Timing: Not 100% sure. We DTD on Saturday, had my IUI on Tuesday. O could have been Monday or Tuesday. Nurse at the RE's swear's I didn't O on Monday, but I had a patch of EWCM and then absolutely zero on Tuesday. So what does that make it? Assuming I O'ed on Monday that would be -2 and IUI on +1? Assuming it was Tuesday, that would be -3 and IUI on O?....Math is hard.

R/R/CS: I actually haven't stepped into the BSC yet. It's really early on, and with a big weekend a head of me I'm sure I can hold off on SS until at least next week. Though I do wish I could find that chart that depicts what's going on in the body after ovulation. I can't remember who posted it. Off to Google I go!

R/R/CS: Finally got my referral. Yay!! I was also able to schedule a followup with my RE for Monday to go over the blood work tests he ordered. Now if I can just tame the BSC and stop the SS, I may make it to that appointment without losing my mind.

GTKY: Nope, I don't wear either. I have 20/20 vision and hope it is still a long time before I need them.

Cycle: 2 TTC after back to back loss

Testing: probably start at 10. Damn you cheapies. I though test weekend was Father's Day but i was a week off. Much less pressure

Timing: -6 through +1 with x2 on -1

R/R/CS: DH persuaded me last night we might as well hit the +1 to cover our bases and get every day. My vag hurts. I just want a break now

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts? Both. I am blind as a bat, especially at night, without them Mostly contacts but I'm supposed to give my eyes a break one day a week. I wore my non- astigmatism colored ones for so long it doubled the astigmatism and I got put on probation from them so I'm working at being better with my clears and glass.

Testing: Tested yesterday because I'm a low key masochist. BFN, obviously, though when I pulled it out of the trash 30 minutes later (don't act like you've never done it!) there was a super faint line - alas, a watermark. Rude!

R/R/CS: Lalala. I'm ready to move onto the next cycle. At least tomorrow is Friday, and it's my birthday weekend!

GTKY: Nah. I'm sure I'll need reading glasses at some point, though.

Yup! Had glasses since I was 7 or 8. Before glasses became a hip thing. I am extremely thankful for Tina Fey for starting the glasses revolution (I distinctly remember her being one of the first celebrities to go framed on the regular way back when she was on SNL). Now there are so many great frames!

Both, messed up my eyes a little bit after wearing my contacts over night too much and now am religious about taking them out every night and I even wear my glasses a few days a week. Eye health ain't nothin to mess with!

Contacts 99% of the time and glasses when I have to. I really hate wearing glasses for some reason. Thank goodness for soft contacts.

R/R/CS: Starting to question my math a little bit, maybe I got a few things wrong this cycle. I don't know but i do know that i really freaking wish it would just wrap up so I could start planning for next cycle. Right now i feel like a plane in a really annoying holding pattern. Also my dog has me at my wits end today it's like she's lost her freaking mind.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts?

i used to wear both, however i recently had to switch from regular glasses to bifocals (damn you law school) and they don't make multi focal contacts in my perscription so I'm out until my eyesight gets worse... isn't that something.

Testing: LOL, no.

Timing: Great! EOD/ED since end of AF.

R/R/CS: I was sure I was going to have another anovulatory cycle (and silly me decided not to temp this month) but I've had EWCM for the past two days and right sided cramping yesterday. CM is no longer EWCM today so I'm going to go ahead and say I probably O'd already. Now to just chill in the TWW.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts? I do! Usually just contacts but I'll occasionally wear my glasses instead if my eyes hurt.

R/R/CS: I'm really thinking I ovulated the later date so the BFN wasn't too hard to see but I'll be disappointed if AF starts. Im prepared just in case since we are on the road to visit family right now.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts? No. When my younger brother got glasses as a little kid I wished I could have them also but now I'm glad I don't need them

R/R/CS: Just twiddling my thumbs over here. Expecting AF tomorrow or Saturday. Hoping it's not tomorrow, because I have a flipping eight-hour meeting (I'm on a committee that reviews and awards merit scholarships for our students), and dealing with CD1 in the midst of that sounds...unsavory.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts? I have worn glasses since I was 2 1/2! I had contacts for a few brief years in high school, but I quickly switched back to specs. I love them and think of them as an accessory. My current pair of glasses is my favorite I've ever had, which is saying something, because I've owned A LOT of glasses!

If BFN, I will probably go on all the rides with reckless abandon. If bfp, then I might limit myself to non-turbulent [read: boring] rides.... Do any of you know anything scientific about amusement park during tww risks? I've already goggled... Haha

R/R/CS: still on a high from the art tour of Stockholm the 3 day outings we're doing....so good!

@buthayna, with my DS I remember my dr saying amusement park rides wouldn't do any damage because my uterus was so far down still and really well protected. Although for what it's worth, I don't do rides during the TWW because I'm a crazy person

R/R/CS: I just noticed how lazy I've become with making notes and charting my symptoms in FF. I've tried to be diligent about it in the past so that when something pops up, I can check prior months and go "oh yeah, dumbass, that totally happened before!" Apparently I'm just over it.

Also, totally not related to TTC at all, but I'm totally annoyed at Ross right now. I bought a cute pair of white sandals the other day, and the stupid tag they put in the heel of my right shoe will not come out and is totally showing. I'm sure I look classy today.

Yeah, this is me today:

GTKY: Oh hells yes. I finally got diagnosed in like 5th grade, but I'm pretty sure I've always been impaired. A couple of years ago, my optometrist told me that if glasses and contacts didn't exist, I'd be legally blind. I only wear my glasses when I go between the bathroom and our bed in the morning and at night. Oh! And I've always worn hard contacts. They're not as bad as they sound!

ETA: How many times can a girl use the word totally?

R/R/CS: Got my first higher temp today after a series of low ones. I dont' even know whether to count it or not because I woke up a few times due to a thunderstorm and DH's dog being an idiot.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts?

Supposed to. Wore contacts all through high school. Disposable colored ones. You could leave them in for a few days, and one night I fell asleep with them in. When I woke up, one contact had folded over itself and was lodged in my upper eye socket. I had to hold my eye open and dig around to pull it out. Traumatic. Stopped wearing contacts after that. I have glasses now, but only really wear them when I drive. (I'm near sighted)

@wineo929 thanks! I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but here was my thought train:
- "my uterus is still tiny and well protected, it can't hurt"
- "but what about g forces and centripital force and all those FORCES that act on my whole body, not necessarily from physical bumping....what if my zygote is just about to implant, and then I go around a corner and it yanks it off?"
- "but what if it wasn't going to implant, and then the forces push it to the wall and it DOES implant?"

@Buthayna It's not scientific, but I ride roller coasters during the TWW. The real concern regarding roller coasters seems to be placental abruption which to my knowledge is only relevant in later stages of pregnancy. But then again, I'm in the "drink till it's pink" camp and don't like to live like I'm pregnant when I'm not!

Testing: I think tomorrow morning. I'm taking the day off and I'll be home alone in the morning and that never happens, so on the off chance I actually get a bfp I'll have some time to wrap my brain around it.

R/R/CS: I had a dream this morning that I was thinking about testing at 9dpo (truth), and I looked at the calendar and I realized it was 15dpo and my period was a day late and I hadn't tested that morning and I was freaking out because I wasn't at home and I wanted to test. I guess my subconscious has given up on getting a bfp and now is just focused on testing haha.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts? Nope, but I should wear reading glasses. I have a slight astigmatism in one eye. I actually have reading glasses somewhere that really help all this screen time I do at work, but I never wear them. My optometrist said that not wearing my glasses won't make the astigmatism worse, so I just sorta get by. But it really is nicer with the glasses.

@MoonOverGoldsboro FX that AF doesn't come but if she does she holds out for Saturday. Even before adding the disappointment, I've always hated times where I've had to pretend that I'm just totally fine while in reality I have awful cramps that are nearly to nausea, a backache, and a panic about whether or not the supplies I'm using are doing their job - especially in situations like that where it's hard to duck out to the bathroom gracefully and alone since when you do get a break, everyone's going to the bathroom at the same time.
@Buthayna If it were me, I'd do the rides I really want to do but not the ones I'm so-so about and I wouldn't go as all-out as usual. Like sometimes I know that if I go again, I'm going to feel woozy and cruddy but I can't quite resist. Maybe skip that last time.

And you should get a checkup on your eyes even if you don't have vision problems just to make sure they're healthy. As for using that SNL gif later... she was magic in that one! One of her best!

@Aurora1973 I'm with you on the laziness about entering stuff in FF. For a while it was kind of novel because I've always just ignored my body unless there was a problem. I'm over it now, though!
@hezzer78 Sorry you had a traumatic contact experience. It's happened to me I think twice in 15 or so years. But I can't see a dang thing without them and I hate glasses so I still use contacts.
