Re: TTGP Grad Check In - 5/16

  • Happy Monday!

How far along are you? EDD?  6w3d, 1/6/17

How are you feeling? Okay. Still crampy and nauseous. But no puke yet!

R/R/Other:  I am just wanting June 13th (my 10 week scan) to hurry up and get here so I can hear Kitten's heartbeat and be put at ease.

Questions: ***Possibly TMI*** Maybe you 2nd and 3rd time mamas can ease my mind - I have had zero spotting my whole pregnancy. Yesterday and this morning, when I wiped, I had light brown discharge mixed with cervical mucus. Should I be concerned?

GTKY - What's your favorite junk food item? Anything sweet. Usually cupcakes or a Reese's Cup.

    Married 10/4/2014 (10-4, good buddy!)
    Baby Boy #1 born 1/9/17
    Baby Boy #2 EDD 11/4/18

    @gonetothesea Reese's cups ❤️❤️

How far along are you? EDD?  5w2d, 1/14

How are you feeling? I feel ok. My only consistent symptoms are that my boobs hurt (and even that waxes and wanes) and that *TMI* I've literally had diarrhea everyday since my BFP! It's just my normal once or twice a day now. So weird! Other than that I have occasional cramping and mild bursts of nausea. The nausea feels more like general stomach upset, almost like the feeling I get when I'm hungover but not as bad!

R/R/Other: I finally got my results back from my beta last Thursday, it was 523 (up from 149 on Monday). The midwife at my OB said my progesterone was low though which makes me nervous. They're repeating the test on Tuesday of next week so they can compare those results to my ultrasound on Thursday.

    Questions: None right now.

GTKY - What's your favorite junk food item?
I like food food more than sweets, so sometimes junk food can be like actual food items for me like Mac and cheese or a hoagie!

  • @gonetothesea no experience with spotting, but brown/old blood is supposed to be normal! As long you're not getting extra crampy or anything, you should be okay.

How far along are you? EDD?
      Based on O date, 5+1 1/15

How are you feeling? Aside from the awful fatigue, I can't really complain!

R/R/Other:  I'm just anxious about a lot of things lately and just thinking about how anxious I am makes me anxious that it's affecting the baby. Ugh.

    Questions: Nothing really

GTKY - What's your favorite junk food item? Cookie dough or soft chocolate cookies. Oh nom.

I felt super anxious last week. There was just so much to feel uncertain about and nervous about, so I totally understand. I feel like I'm in a better place this week, and I hope you get there soon too!

  • @mylitta Congrats and welcome! I wasn't too active myself either since my cycles were ridiculously long and I never knew where I belonged until I finally confirmed O last month. I do wish I got to know the ladies there better, but either way I'm excited to see more faces here because I know how amazing and supportive they are. =)

  • How far along are you? EDD?   6w3d based on last period... I got my BFP at 5 weeks because I usually have quite long cycles due to PCOS.

How are you feeling? I am really tired and my boobs are super sore but I haven't had much MS yet so fingers crossed it stays away!

R/R/Other:  I feel like after TTC for 16 months I should be fairly good at keeping personal stuff in my life quiet (seeing a RE, all my tests etc) but I am having a super hard time not telling people I am pregnant. Especially all my friends who knew I was having a hard time TTC. I just wanna shout it out since the BFP! Luckily we agreed to tell immediate family and my best friend so that helps a bit.

Questions: Does anyone else have RLP/cramping? Mine is getting pretty extreme lately especially after napping or sleeping or sitting too long. It is making me really uncomfortable and reminds me a lot of how I feel the day before my period. So weird...

GTKY - What's your favorite junk food item? Chips and dill pickle dip!!

  • @sarahmsoda I had on and off cramping last week but it seems to have gotten better. RLP is barely noticable at the moment, as it's more of a sharp brief pain rather than cramping. Drinking more water is supposed to help if your intake has been low lately

  • How far along are you? EDD?  3w3d so early I know! 1/27/2017

How are you feeling? Amazing! It's like I'm walking on air right now!

R/R/Other: I've begun cleaning my whole house. Send help.

Questions: How early did everyone else get their bfp?

GTKY - What's your favorite junk food item? Taco Bell for sure.

  • @PaukMeKiande Nice! I barely got a squinter at 10dpo and a very clear positive by 14dpo.

  • @pshaortao I got a squinter this morning, faint lines in the afternoon, and a true positive in the late evening. I was like woah, that escalated quickly.

  • @canavara Yay, 7 weeks!! Also I'm glad I'm not the only one with symptoms that come and go. How much longer to you have before your trip is over? It was 3 weeks total, right?

@PaukMeKiande I got my BFP the morning of 3+2 and it actually was on a dollar store test. I didn't believe it because my FRER looked negative. When I came home that night I took another and saw something faint on the FRER and knew it was real. When I went back and looked at the mornings I could see something that had darkened over the day. The digi didn't pop until 3+3 in the am. I honestly wish I had waited longer to test because that next 6 days waiting around for my missed period I was such a ball of nerves! But I'm a nervous person to begin with. Also, Taco Bell, yum!

    *edit* words
@PaukMeKiande , I got my BFPs this morning at what I think is 16dpo. I had thought I was 13dpo, but the tests were SUPER clear, so I'm wondering if I got my O date wrong.

YAY, I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE!!!

How far along are you? EDD?   4w 1 day  1/23/17  --So early!

How are you feeling? Still in shock...I thought I was out this cycle, then BAM 2 BFPs today!

R/R/Other:  I haven't told DH yet because I am planning on surprising him this evening..holding it in is killing me. I told my boss this AM because we are friends and she knew we were TTC, she was so excited and gave me a huge hug! I also texted my BFF because I knew she'd be excited, and she was. I am so happy, and can't wait to surprise DH tonight with a Father's Day card!

Questions:   I have a million questions for my doctor, but I think that's it.

GTKY - What's your favorite junk food item?  Reese's cups. Reese's anything. Dear God I love Reese's.
OMG OMG OMG!! I can't even begin to describe how excited I am for you. We started on the bump at the same time and I have been rooting for you from the start. I am beyond thrilled that we share a BMB  <3

Can't wait to hear how you tell your DH!

ETA: seriously I can't remember the last time I was as excited as when I came on this board and saw your name as the last to post!

Also, I'm eating a shredded chicken burrito from Taco Bell right now. Om nom nom.

  • @kellybean1988 Also about the BFP, mine was pretty dark at 13dpo, so it is still possible you had your O date right! Mine were only squinters until like 11dpo.

@canavara Oh, Iceland too! That's amazing. I hope your mystery illness goes away so you can more easily enjoy the rest of you trip! Also, the sandwich was amazing. I am so full. Half of one qualifies as lunch and dinner.

@PaukMeKiande I actually haven't had Taco Bell in so long! My DH went without me a couple weeks ago after work one night. He didn't even pick me anything up! I was not happy with him.

  • @AliciaGoose I need to have that sandwich RIGHT NOW!

How far along are you? EDD?   5w1d/ 1/16/17

How are you feeling? Aside from irritability, I'm feeling pretty good today. I generally begin feeling sick in the evenings.

R/R/Other: Now all I can think about is that sandwich @AliciaGoose. I have nothing like that magic here and will have to settle with a burrito and quesadilla from Taco Bell.

    Questions: None right now.

GTKY - What's your favorite junk food item? Cinnamon rolls. Candy bars (particularly midnight milky way), cakes/cupcakes, lemon bars, brownies... I love everything sweet/dessert.

  • @loveinak The sandwiches are a staple of mine and DHs alma mater. They're seriously heavenly. This is the first time I've had one in probably like a year. It wasn't even from my favorite place but it was still soooo good. We tried to make them ourselves once but it just didn't go well. Too many ingredients! I hope you enjoy Taco Bell though, but I know it's not the same  :'(

@cabu14 Really not much to do at that point! The waiting game stinks especially before 4 weeks. For some reason I was a mess. 4+1 felt so good to get to! The only thing I did early was go to my family doctor and she did blood work just to confirm the pregnancy, and talked to be about nutrition and changes in my body, etc!
I did end up with an early OB appointment because my OB does a midwife appointment at 6 weeks, and even though I told them I O'd late they didn't believe me, so my midwife appointment was at 4+2. For similar reasons my first u/s is 6+5 because they think I'll be 8+4 and they do the first u/s at 8 weeks. At this point based on the bloodwork they did, they know I'm earlier, but are just sticking with It.

I think it might be my hormones because I'm feeling way too happy and emotional about how much our TTGP crew has grown on here! This week has been big for BFPs!

@aliciagoose  thanks for the info!!  I need to look into a primary care dr. I left mine in Januaryish because they were not very good at all.. so I've just been in contact with my OBGYN.  My BSC isn't too bad yet, I'm still just nervous more than anything.
It sure has been a Crazy BFP week in the TTGP board already and it's only Tuesday!!! It's pretty awesome :)

  • @cabu14 ah that stinks! I actually just switched my primary to a family doctor in February and it was the best decision I ever made. She is the best doctor I've ever been to in my life. She spent over an hour with me in my first appointment to get to know me and my history. As a family doctor she sees people of all ages so she will actually be the pediatrician I use as well, which I am literally thrilled about. She used to deliver babies actually and so she was the only person I saw prior to my BFP about TTC related things. I hope you are able to find a good primary doctor, though at this point I guess a good OB is what you really need anyway  :)

@aliciagoose There is a lot I don't know! I didn't realize there was a difference btw family/primarycare but I see the difference now Thanks!  I was going to a family doctor in the small town I live in. I'd been going since I was a kid so I would have loved to stay, the place is just going down hill since the regular NP left about 6 years ago.  Im hoping my OB can give me a couple recommendations!

@cjs260 thats sweet of you! I'm glad you're here - I always wonder who are the lurkers from TTGP so I'm glad you said something :)

    @PaukMeKiande omg we are! YAY!

Yeah, I think that the tickers and sites go off a "normal" O on CD14. When I called the OB this morning to schedule my first appointment, I told her my CD1 date (4/22) and she said my EDD is the 26th. But I O'd on CD16, so it makes sense that my EDD would be two days later, on the 28th. So I'm going with that for now. But I'm sure that a lot (most?) people don't know their real and true O date, so they just have to go off of the "standard" cycle.

  • @Lecool yeah my CD1 was 4/20 but in the tickers I just put in the day of my temp spike on May 6th, making today 12DPO. Almost everyone's EDD changes as they go along though lol.

  • @Lecool I'm 5+4 today and still freaking out. Yesterday was the first day I told my DH it was starting to feel real and I was feeling more excited than anxious. I actually went out to Babies R Us and bought something cute and it made me feel good. Honestly the first milestone for me was getting to 4+1, that calmed my nerves a bit too.

In terms of the digis I popped a first response gold the morning I was 10dpo (the day after my first BFP) but I didn't pop a clearblue until that night. They're not as sensitive.
