  • @LWC1112 YES!  Nothing sounds good.  If we are going out to dinner, I'm always asked what I would like and I honestly don't care what I eat.  No cravings this pregnancy, just don't want to feel so full and then be hungry again two hours later but still have nothing sound good.

Same. It just sits. I wake up in the morning and have no desire for breakfast.

I feel the same. It doesn't take much to be full, and then it just sits there forever sloshing around and annoying me because it won't digest. It seems like I constantly have to burp, but nothing happens. I'm now to the point where I can't eat at least 4 hours before I go to bed or I'm straight up miserable.

@KJ1416  I started taking nexium/prilosec about a yr ago when I had my gall bladder out and it has been a miracle. Before that I was eating like 6 zantac every day and still suffering with some heartburn. I stopped taking anything when I found out I was pg but my OB was like "Why? No, it's going to get worse, keep taking it!" Obviously different moms have different levels of comfort with medicines during pregnancy, but I would say do a little research and trust that your doctor wouldn't prescribe it if the risks outweighed the benefits.

ETA: wow, sorry for so many typos

  • I've noticed over the past week or so I have been burping like crazy! Anything I drink makes me burp, water, soda, tea. I can't drink anything laying in bed because it creates an uncomfortable gas bubble. Super weird symptom.
  • @Lynnlove28, that was me about a week ago.  It lasted for a few weeks,  and finally is improving to the point where I can sort of control it.  But I had some serious burping!
  • TMI but my farts have been smelling terrible lately ugh. I think that's one of the worst things about pregnant thus far. I don't want to fart because they smell bad but if I don't I'll get gas pains.
  • had a very sharp cramp pain on my leg this morning it hurt so bad, i woke out of my sleep almost in tears, and heart burn sucks balls
  • When I was pregnant with DD I got a Charlie horse that woke me up out of a dead sleep. It scared the crap out of DH and I kept telling him that I was scared and to help me. I had gotten them before so I have no idea why I was scared but those cramps are terrible.
  • 1. Heartburn/ Acid reflux. No matter what I eat, how much or when. It's everyday. Zantac is a life safer if I remember it 30 minutes before I eat. Tums usually works, but it's starting to subside more.
    2. Racing heart. Just sitting at my desk, heart is continually racing. I hate this feeling.
    3. Unable to catch breath or breathe in deep. I have noticed I will subconsciously raise one or two of my arms while sitting. I think it's to make it easier to breath. It really does help! But I can't keep my hands raised forever.
    4. Completely numb under my breasts. Due to the stretching to the ribs and nerve damage. Apparently very normal according to my doctor and completely annoying and uncomfortable. Also pain under the left boob especially when I lay on my left side, which is also normal.
    5. Round ligament pain. Forget trying to keep from being in pain after I sneeze...or cough...or laugh. And those times I jump out of my seat and almost fall to the floor in pain. (also getting it while turning over in bed) I just laugh it off as best as I can. Haha
    6. The gas you have and don't expect it. Hahaha...usually just in the restroom while peeing but it just comes out of no where and is hilarious.
    7. SWELLING! My feet get huge! And my fingers...and my face...it's so not fun. Pregnant Water Aerobics help!
    8. Randomly fine...then bursting into tears. I did that a couple Sundays ago when my hubby left to go to the store. I just started crying and didn't know why!!
    9. Not really a symptom, but super funny that I am still not used to having a belly and when I walk by someone or through a small opening and remember I can't suck my stomach in and I have a constant bruise on my belly XD

I swear...I have gotten every pregnancy symptom in the book. EVERY ONE.

  • Lately I'm just hot and bothered. I need to have a portable fan on me wherever I go. It's annoying when everyone around me says it's only me that's hot. I don't get it. I'm slathering on deodorant like there's no tomorrow.
  • Heartburn and indigestion. I did not have this at all with my first or in non-pregnant life for that matter. I broke down yesterday and got Zantac... here's to hoping it works.

  • I've started getting some pain in my breasts, which doesn't seem surprising at all, however the kind of pain I'm feeling is! I just assumed I'd feel some dull ache from the interior of my breasts, like I occasionally used to get with PMS. But lately I keep getting these pains that almost feel like they're coming from the skin. Like something is pinching or biting me on the surface of my breast. If I weren't at work, my instinct would be to just pull back my bra and take a look because it feels like there is a bug biting me or something! But I can't do that at my desk so I just sit here and squirm and wait for it to pass. Pregnancy is so weird.

  • Bahahahaha I ... Wish. I don't even know what sex is anymore.
  • Has anyone else seem this ad on here and thought it was genius for heartburn? I'm already using a pillow nest to prop myself up on the couch, I'm now thinking it might be good for bad nights for sleeping as well.

I couldn't decide if this was a symptom or random thought...

My belly button is officially either disappearing or may turn into an outie soon. The top part looks like it's flattening out and I noticed it yesterday. I got out of the shower yesterday and was like what the what? Pregnancy is so fascinating as a FTM. I showed DH and he didn't seem to think it was as neat as I did. Men...pfft.

He did however ask if it would go back to "normal" after the baby was born.

I have another symptom to add. BAD night time congestion! I keep thinking I am getting sick, but I am just fine during the day! It's so not fun.

Mine is getting a weird almost hooded look to it. The top part is trying to close over the bottom part. SO weird. This did not happen with my first. My dark line hasn't shown up yet, but I imagine it will start to darken any day now.

Totally having the belly button oddity.  So weird.

The new thing that's really kind of creeping me out is that yesterday evening I went for a walk about an hour after dinner and about halfway through--maybe 15 min, started getting cramps/back pain.  It was almost the kind of pain like before you have a significant bowel movement (tmi, sorry), and at one point, I put my hands on my hips and just stopped and breathed through it.  I've been walking daily for several months now, and this was a leisurely walk with senior-dachshund Hans, not brisk by any means.  Made it home, no corresponding bathroom activity, and drank two glasses of water, and the cramping stopped, but I was exhausted and just went to bed.  I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat and then had an awful charlie horse.  I've been drinking 8 glasses of water a day, so it'd be odd to be dehydrated.  All was fine this morning, and took the dog on a nice walk.  I was back to being... regular... this morning after a couple days of being not-so-regular and upping my fiber.  But, starting about an hour ago, had the same kind of back pain/cramping while sitting at my desk at work.  Have been drinking water and am just feeling plain uncomfortable.  Baby is kicking up a storm, but is this BH?  Are these contractions?  It's not like a 30 second hurt... we're talking several minutes of continued pain.  Almost 29 weeks, nothing high risk about this pregnancy, and no other labor signs.  I see the doctor for my regularly scheduled visit Monday, but if this pain, which is gone now and just feeling uncomfortable, keeps it up, I wonder if I need to call.  Idk what this, but I am not enjoying it...

@kwilliams3402 when I walk for extended periods of time I feel the same way. Can't go very far these days. I think they are the start of Braxton hicks for me. Usually if I chug some water and sit for a while I'm better.

  • @tmk0325, I chalked yesterday's oddity up to the combo of walking after dinner, digestive troubles, etc., but the repeat today when I'd been sitting at my desk for a good hour is weird.  FTM, so I feel like I never know exactly what I'm feeling and whether to be concerned!
  • @Whitmore1027 - Do you regularly have allergies?  I had to add a second nasal spray and a prescription allergy medicine to my allergy regiment about a month ago because I was having terrible congestion at night.  Might be worth a try for you.
  • @kwilliams3402 I have also been having bad back pain since the beginning of this week, have been very uncomfortable, and slightly crampy every now and again. It's been worrying me a little since it just suddenly came on but there's been no other signs of labor for me and everyone I talk to says my body's just expanding because baby is growing but I don't know...I just feel off. I think the only thing that's been stopping me from calling is it's not constant, it comes and goes.

@BrunetteBabe722 - That makes me feel better! I've had back pain the whole pregnancy, but I've been seeing a chiropractor and it was just in my back--didn't feel like an entire from bottom to chest, all around thing--before.  I'll let you know what the doctor says Monday.  Hopefully these are just weird pregnancy pains!

Also, does your car have a seat warmer?  I've totally been using mine every time I'm in the car, with AC blasting, and that actually does a lot to help back/hip/tailbone pain.  Try it if you haven't already and can!

  • @kwilliams3402 please do let me know what your doctor says! My next appointment isn't until June 7th. No seat warmer :/ I think I'm going to try tea and heating pads before bed...even when I'm sitting or laying down the back pain is just as bad, sometimes worse, ughhh
  • I am having an extremely hard time getting comfortable and I don't remember this happening so early on with DD. I have to prop something under my bump when I lay on my side because my stomach feels like it's pulling if I don't. I can not deal with 13 more weeks of this.
  • @BrunetteBabe722 you should google stretches and exercises for sciatica. That is what I have been doing and it helps. Yoga also.

I am really jealous of your walking partner!

For anyone having a hard time with the dreaded pooping. It has been hot here, but I swear if I get in my car and turn the seat warmer on I am good to go within like 15 minutes--totally new thing for me.

Haha, @kristynmac, Hans is 10.5, has no medical reasons why he should be a slow walker, except he grows more dachshund stubborn by the day.  He's a perfect walking buddy for this pregnant lady in Austin with a hilly neighborhood... he never tells me I am going too slow!!  I have a friend who did a triathlon at 20 weeks, and I'm over here at 28 just proud of my slow half hour walks.

Also, I have the seat warmer on high and the AC on high.  But it's like heaven.

  • So... This symptom is really embarrassing and TMI, but I want to know if anyone else is getting it too. As of Wednesday I've been getting what I think is anal discharge? I feel like my hemmroids are back, which I know happens in pregnancy, since I'm having bleeding and pain when I go to the bathroom. But for the rest of the day I've had a brownish color discharge. I'm telling my doctor about it in two weeks at my next appointment. I'm guessing this is a normal pregnancy symptom with everything that's happening to our intestines, but it's a really embarrassing and disgusting symptom.
  • @JournoGrl23 I had internal hemorrhoids pre pregnancy and then when I got pregnant they got 10 times worse. The discharge happened to me for a few weeks in the 2nd trimester especially when the hemorrhoids were bad (bleeding a ton). I think that it's mucus from the intestine that are related to the hemorrhoids but it is gross!! Mine went away now but my hemorrhoids are better so I think they are definitely related!
  • My hips are killing me! Also, I discovered a couple days ago that I now have "masking". I didnt get this with my previous pregnancies. I'm not happy about it. Oh well.
  • @squishy0511 Thank you for sharing! It makes me feel so much better to know someone else has had the discharge. I have stage 2 internal hemorrhoids, prepregnancy, but they went away when I got pregnant. Or at least the symptoms did. I've never had the discharge before, though, so it was worrying me. And it is really gross!

I'm glad yours have now gone away and you feel better.
  • @lotsofsunshine my back and chest has been breaking out but I had to google what masking is. I keep thinking why, oh why does pregnancy come with so many terrible side effects!
