@phoenix870509 I think it would depend on your relationship with your boss. I had a pretty casual relationship with my former supervisor and was really open with her about my M/S and lack of energy. She completely understood and cut me some slack. Good luck either way! I hope these symptoms settle down for you soon!
@ashleaf2018 - I have a food processor attachment to my kitchen aid mixer that I will probably try to use if we decide to make baby food. I can't speak to how well it works but it may or may not be cheaper and/or save space over a food processor (if you don't already have one but do have a kitchen aid). I got mine as part of a wedding present though so I'm not sure how much they cost (sometimes those accessories are expensive).
@phoenix870509 - can you just tell your boss you're sick? They can decide whether or not they want to know or care if it's MS vs other illness.
@penelope4612 If your attachment is not seeming to make purees very well, you could always try and steam the veggies/fruit longer. I have found that the softer the food to begin with, the quicker and more smooth the end result.

@phoenix870509, I think MS is a valid reason, not just an "excuse," and if your boss is understanding enough you can be honest with him/her. I was teaching when pregnant with DD and told my principal right away because I felt so awful. She had awful MS when she was pregnant (it may have been HG) so she understood and was really supportive.

I ended up telling him. My boss was actually my equal and we moved up the ranks together. He's in the main office, which is why he got the manager position (I don't hold it against him and he admits everything he knows is because he studied my counterpart and my work). So we were friends before he became my boss, and it shows in how we talk to one another now (I don't know how many people can get away with telling their boss to pipe down because they weren't finished talking [he laughed at that, btw]). He's just under a great deal of stress because he is still training our new VP, they've just relocated the office up there and we're trying to get more clients. He relies a lot on my counterpart and me, and I can't help feeling like I am letting him down. He pulled me from the project today so I could focus on monitoring the agents (low key work, something if I had to deal with the MS I could) and I'm back on the project first thing tomorrow morning. He thought he was helping me, too, by giving me something not too stressful to do. He knows how hard I work, too, so I have that going for me. I just hate feeling like I'm letting people down.

Not Sunday but... I haven't had my first Ob appointment yet, and don't for another 3 weeks. If I am sick enough with whatever they I need to see a doctor, should I just call my regular GP and see if I can get in to see her or one of her colleagues? Or do i call the hospital that the OB is at (I've ever seen her before) and make an appointment, if needed? FWIW, my GP used to be an OB so I know she knows what she's doing; I actually saw her after I found out I was PG to ask questions.
I've had a cold with a cough for over 2 weeks now, and it was getting better but this week has gotten worse again. I think it's just a cold versus something like bronchitis (my cough isn't deep at all), but DH is all concerned (which is fine that he is).

@Kacie209 Last time, I just went to a walk in clinic. I made sure I was a broken record with 'I'm pregnant.' 'is this safe for pregnancy/1st tri?' It was an inconvenience, but my ear infections and respiratory infections got treated and I felt human again pretty quickly. I also didn't get any grief from my OB about seeing a different doc, as it was kind of an emergency.

If anything looked weird, they would see it at the first ultrasound right? I'm seriously always worried something is going to happen. I was worried that something was wrong when I had my first ultrasound, and turns out there were two babies measuring the same with strong heartbeats. So now that I know there's twins, I read about vanishing twin syndrome (damn you google) and now THAT is worrying me. And I've had cramping the last few days..but I've been reading that's normal...but usually not until the second trimester...but then again I'm having twins. But they would've been able to tell if something was wrong when I had my ultrasound right? I know that weekly appointments would be an expensive pain in the ass, but they sure would be reassuring!
@brittnic86 Yes and no. There are things that can't be seen until around 20 weeks; such as missing fingers/toes, issues with genitals . . . Then around 30-40 weeks is when things such as Inner Uterine Growth Restrictions happen, along with other issues.
At your first US they could probably just make sure babies were in the right spot and that things were going well so far. From what I have read, vanishing twins happen 90+ % before you have heard/seen both heartbeats. After that your chances of having a vanishing twin keep going down as you get closer to your EDD.

I've not had my first appointment either... which let me tell you how much I hate this OB office (that is another whole post) but they told me if I had any issues like colds/flu etc to call them and they would get me in. Friends have said they were good about it. I'm skeptical because I have literally nothing good to say about the place lol. I swear I'm not a negative person but I just expect good healthcare.
@brittnic86 - when is when is your next U/S? I just had one today and I have 3 more scheduled through mid-July. You should be getting additional U/S with multiples.
Here's a stupid question... should I be worried if I don't have the urge to urinate more often than normal? I'm drinking about the same amount of water - the biggest change is that I've switched to tea instead of coffee in the morning. I assume this will change when the baby gets bigger and starts harassing my bladder but I figured I would ask!
@ea301That's how I am too. I don't feel like I am going to the bathroom any more than what I did before, and am drinking (or trying to) more water daily. Some days I feel like I am going a lot, but other days not so much. And I rarely get up in the middle of the night to go.

This is going to be a whiney question. But, are pregnancy symptoms worse when you're older? Last time I did this was almost 5 years ago, I know it's been a long time but with DD2 I was walking all over key west at 9 weeks, full of energy and not very nauseated. I'm 35 now. Does age factor in?!
I'm peeing every 3 minutes and I have a tilted uterus so I debunk that theory. @zubenescamali - I agree I'm 4 years older this time (I was 30 last pg) but it feels harder on my body this time. I still have it very easy but my back hurts, I get winded, and tired in general way worse than with DS. I was wondering if it was from having twins this PG since I didn't see anyone mention it yet.
@DiFazetteoh man I hope there isn't two in there making me so miserable. sorry if that sounds insensitive. there is no family history of twins on my side and I don't think I could handle it. but I think you are right. your symptoms being worse could definitely be due to your twins. double trouble and everything! me, I hope it's just because i'm old. lol.
@zubenescamali YESSSSS I keep wondering why I am so much more sluggish, I really think it is that I'm 3 years older than I was last time, 5.5 more than the first time. Mid 30s and pregnant is WAY different than late 20s and pregnant!
@zubenescamalia good friend of mine had her first children around 27 years old and 29. She just had their third this year at 37 and she said what you did pretty much - her first two pregnancies were a breeze and she worked up until the day she went in to labor each time and then just bounced right back. She had more trouble with this last one and she chalked it up to being older.

@zubenescamali - no offense taken! I have no family history either
@Annie and Frank@beff12 good to know there are others like me. It's so peculiar with the nausea being so intense this time around, I really thought it would be better since my nutrition improved from #1&2. Whoever said the 30s is the new 20s didn't have babies in both eras!
I have come to hate eating because every time I do, I get an extremely upset stomach and I'm in the bathroom forever, I'm honestly surprised I haven't clogged the toilet. Anyone else experiencing this??? It doesn't matter what I eat! I don't like it...
