  • Yes! I got heartburn from freaking cereal! I've been watching my portions a little better this week and that has seemed to help. I've only had to take Tums 1 day.

I can't see my feet....or my womanhood, ....not to mention the once toned* long lost slim curves of my inner thighs.

And the other night i laughed so hard watching Amy Wong Baby Cobra- i started bawling my eyes out. Which then cued "labor meditation breathing" to calm down. Literally, which totally freaked DH out. It took 3 attempts and complete 10 min "pauses" to finish the hr long show.

I waddle-race to the bathroom, causing waaaay more attention than i desire at work.

I also fall asleep driving after 5 minutes, and wake up at 3am wanting a cheeseburger w jalapenos, onion rings, and bbq sauce.

According to my ohsowise mother=> "Welcome to the 3rd trimester".
  • I am in the heartburn camp too. I'm to the point where I might ask my OB for something, tums just ain't cuttin it.

I luckily haven't had any BH contractions or leaky boobs yet. But it has me wondering, shouldn't I be having these symptoms by now? I think my body is in denial about being pregnant, minus the heartburn, constipation, and growing belly. ;)

I'm taking tums every day it seems. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat.

You can also take zantac. My doc says it lasts longer but I haven't tried it yet. Also, from what I read, some women never get leaky boobs.I haven't had any leaking but I do think I've had some BH

I didn't know you could take Zantac. I think I will call the OB tomorrow either way because I am not sleeping because of it.

I hope non-leaking boobs does not directly correlate with how well my supply will come in after baby is born. I'm sure it doesn't, but these are the things I think about when I lay awake with heartburn straight from hell at 2 am.

Leaking boobs, Braxton hicks, heartburn! I was actually concerned that I was leaking too early as it started around 21 weeks but my doc said it was normal so I guess I'm fine! I'm also starting to have to pee more often.
  • @midwestbaby my doctor said some women leak and some don't, and both are normal!
  • Take Zantac! I've been taking it every night before bed and no more waking up choking on acid! It works wonders, tums were doing nothing for me. My OB said it's safe to take every day from now until the end of pregnancy.

  • Zantac is my best friend this pregnancy. My heartburn is out of control! I'm having Braxton hicks on the regular, and also getting shortness of breath much more often. I feel like LO is up in my ribs, and when I sit in my office chair I feel like I can't breathe. I am constantly switching positions.

@midwestbaby my boobs never leaked during my first pregnancy and haven't this time either (yet). Also, I don't think I got Braxton hicks with my first pregnancy until like 28 weeks-ish.

Tums are worthless in my opinion. Try Gaviscon tablets if you want a chewable or just take Zantac 150, save yourself the trouble!

My latest annoying symptoms have been my arms falling asleep when I sleep. I can't seem to get them comfortable no matter what I try.

  • @tmk0325 same with the arms falling asleep. It is driving me crazy. I will wake up and stare at the wall for hours.

For all with heartburn, try drinking milk. I had it terrible when I was pregnant with DD and milk worked better than tums most of the time.

My back is driving me crazy. It's starting to ache pretty much 24/7 and I know it's from the massive jugs on my chest. I'm a DD naturally but have moved into a DDD and I feel like they have grown every time I take my bra off.
  • So I thought frequent urination would just feel like when I normally have to pee, it would just happen more often. But for the past couple weeks whenever I'm standing or walking especially, my bladder kind of aches and it feels like I need to pee but only a couple drops comes out. Super annoying and uncomfortable.
Takes hours to fall asleep at night and I get so cranky it's hard not to roll over and beat the snot out of my snoring, snuffling, smacking, groaning, sighing, cover stealing, bed hogging, albeit innocent DH. And then I sleep through my alarms and don't get up till noon and sometimes only for a few hours before I fall asleep again . . .
Still no BH or leaky boobs for me either. Nor shortness of breath. So much to still look forward to! Lol

  • Lightening crotch. Last weekend LO started with punches to the cervix that double me over. Everything is basically uncomfortable right now so why not add my vajayjay to the list?

@Car0liiine  This has been me. Whenever I walk somewhere (not just slowly around the office/home) it feels like I have to pee really badly and is so uncomfortable but then I barely pee. I had to walk to another building today for a meeting and as soon as I'm outside moving I didn't know if I'd make it--I had to concentrate! It's beyond annoying and makes me a really slow walker now, and I wasn't fast to begin with. At least it doesn't feel that way when I'm sitting.

  • I didn't leak with DD. Haven't this time yet, but still just 25 weeks. My symptoms are still exhaustion. I feel like I can't catch up, ever. And my emotions are crazy. I don't remember being this fragile with DD. I blame this on the exhaustion too.

Heartburn is the worst. I would love to skip it this time but have a feeling it is waiting for me in the third tri.

This happened to me today. Went to lunch, came back to the office and sat in my chair and felt like I couldn't catch my breath. Not fun

  • Can't. Stop. Burping.  No heartburn as of yet...
  • I had leaky boobs last time. Haven't this time, but I'm still nursing. However, I get a really uncomfortably full boobs feeling like I have a ton of milk, but I don't...
  • I've been getting really dizzy and weak feeling lately. Not sure if it has to do with blood flow, the hot weather or lack of sleep, but it's freaking me out! I've upped my water intake even more so I know it's not that.
Also getting some aches and pains with the baby pushing up on my stomach and other organs.
  • Add me to the heartburn list also...it sucks! If it isn't heartburn, it is acid just sitting in and burning my throat like crazy. Milk does help along with tums. I have stretching pains on top and bottom of my belly that only get worse as the day goes on...need to get a support. Oh and also, I LOVE SLEEP!
  • @Lynnlove28 I had a bowl of milk and cereal last night an hour before bed and seriously this was a life saver. No heartburn for the first time in weeks! Thank you!!!!

  • I'm losing crazy amounts of hair. I think I did with DD too but I don't remember it being this bad. My brushes look like I used them on a furry cat.

@texasmama2014 I've been having the super full but not leaky boobs this time too. So uncomfortable.

  • For my constant heartburn I've been taking papaya enzyme tablets during the day and a shot of apple cider vinegar at night. It doesn't prevent it but makes it go away for awhile. I just don't want to take medicine everyday. The vinegar helps keep me more regular too!

At times It feels likes someone is trying to rip my legs off of my torso. Such a shark pain in my inside thighs right were they connect to my pelvis. Is this RL pain?
  • @JEMN yes! I didn't know what it was either but the article I read describes basically that.
  • @texasmama2014 -  Everything you said.  Nursing while pregnant is not for the weary.

The nausea has also decided to return occasionally and I am so exhausted.
  • Leg cramps came on pretty fierce last night. I have had tightening when I stretch during the night, but this time I had to get out of bed and walk around for awhile before I could actually lay down again. I drink a lot of water, but is there anything else you ladies have added that can help?

Sometimes it hurts so bad that I almost give up and quit, but its still such a beautiful, quiet moment.  I don't want to lose it yet.  I will revisit probably every day until then, but her birthday is June 25, she will be 2, and my "goal" will be reached... I'm not sure I'll be able to stop then, but we'll see!

@kristynmac, I think Avacados and Epson salt baths are supposed to help. Some suggest orange juice,  bananas,  and stretching/exercise.
  • tmk0325tmk0325 member
@kristynmac I eat a banana every single day. Sometimes two!
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @Nikkoli98 and @tmk0325 about to walk to the grocery store by my work and get bananas! I was eating them before, but they go bad so fast and I was getting sick of them.
  • I'm experiencing leg cramps too! I only had them once a couple weeks ago, but then last night I woke up screaming the pain was so intense. I tried stretching (toes up) and it only made it worse. Thankfully it didn't last too long and I was able to stretch the rest of the pain away. I've been chugging even more water than usual all day long to hopefully prevent that from happening again!
  • I feel like my pubic bone is bruised and every time I walk is feels like it is stretching apart a bit. All I can think is I have 15ish more weeks of this and it will in all likelihood get worse. Ugh.

  • @kristynmac Eat bananas! Also, if you get up in the middle of the night, you can drink a little pickle juice. I haven't tried that yet, but have heard from runners it works great!

I'm in the heartburn club. I started taking tums, but 7-10 a day caused some very unpleasant digestive problems. I've been taking Pepcid AC twice a day, for me it's better than Zantac. However, the heartburn is over powering the Pepcid.  My Dr gave me Nexium, but I haven't started to take it. I feel bad taking it for the whole third trimester. Anyone have experience taking Nexium?

Yes, this. I drink pickle juice and it helps a ton. I'm typically a distance runner so that is how I got started doing it. Helps cramping almost immediately for me.

I used to save pickle juice for Bloody Mary's, but since those are out now at least I can still enjoy the juice :)
