@beff12 I totally get that. So creepy. But isn't that a general risk? What makes doing it earlier, riskier?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I do plan to join the group whether it's now or down the road. But why are some people afraid to do it "so soon"?

I'm also in camp "count me in, but not until WAY later". I'm in the J14 FB group and we are still going super strong, but the group's that started way early in the board exploded with way too much drama.

@SA0012 I'm just plain paranoid and don't want to jinx anything. Yes, I know I'm being a bit ridiculous, but this is my first pregnancy. I plan on joining too, once I have my 12 week appointment next month.

@SA0012 - I think it gives us time to get to know each other. If someone starts acting suspicious or crazy, they may be outed on the bump prior to everyone joining a FB group where our names and locations are available to that person. Also, with time, people in this group will end up leaving for various reasons and that will minimize the number of people in the group which makes it less likely to be filled with drama (in theory). Don't underestimate how much info someone can find on you just on google by knowing only your name.

@SA0012 that's a good question haha. I think TB is good at weeding out the drama llamas, like @penelope4612 said. It's a whole different story when you're on fb - everyone is so much more real when you're in a group on there!

MamaWino, did we start the patch up in like February or March. I want to say it was like the end of February or Beginning of March because people were still getting BFP's and joining thebump. I wonder if this one needs to start beginning of next month or something or the end of this one.

I'm in the wait-til-later camp.
My May14 BMB started a fbook group sometime into second tri and we were pretty selective with who could join. Even after 2 years+ we've still managed to weed out some crazies as we go.

Hey fellow May 14 BMB! We had a crazy month, I did not want anything to do with the FB pages due to how many crazy people there were on the May 14 board. I'm glad to hear there was at least one group that stayed together!

@beff12 we had a creeper in June 14 too- a few people with AEs, and at least one who wasn't even pregnant, but was just there to creep. This is my hesitation in joining for awhile.

Yea I'm not interested in joining until a bit later. There are a lot of SNs on this thread that I'm not familiar with. I might not mind a smaller group later with the ladies I feel I know better. And maybe after this crazy election season to really avoid the drama haha. Good luck with it though!

@jenlynne0624 yes!! Super creepy. I was lurking around November 2016 the other night when I couldn't sleep. Someone had actually dug up the thread from where we outed this girl and posted it in there, I guess as a warning. It was so crazy.

That's some hardcore digging, @beff12. My j14 board has dug up the past stuff too when it's come up, but goodness, the amount of threads to read through must have been crazy.
