@BecauseBabyIamAPug LOL yes she fb messages them and sometimes visits her sister but other than that my dad, brother, husband and I just do whatever she likes. @benten24 I think my brother and dad talked to her because she finally said happy Mother's Day, ha!
If I see people online wishing each other a happy Mother's Day from their four legged children then we sure as hell get to be wished a happy Mother's Day before baby's are in the outside world. I'm a mother of three even if only two of them are here already
My dad was the last person to wish me a Happy Mother's Day today, via text. Got his stupid fiance a stupid orchid, but couldn't be bothered to even send a card my way.
He did offer up some time this afternoon if my siblings and I wanted to plant some flowers in his yard (wow gee thanks)... and to be fair, planting is what my mom always did for MD before she passed a couple years ago. Either way, not exactly what this 7+ mo pregnant chick / mom of a 2yo wanted to be doing today. Hrmph.
meh I figure it's nice if people say it to me but I'm okay if they don't. It definitely not something I thought to say to my pregnant friends before this year.
People have been wishing me a happy Mother's Day all day. While I appreciate the sentiment, I don't really consider myself a mother yet. So I doubt your mom meant anything by her comment (unless she's known for clueless comments). Seems like I have the UO. It doesn't bother me if some pregnant ftm's choose to celebrate though.
I don't expect people to say happy mothers day to me, but I do think it's a little rude to actively point out that it's not my day to be celebrated. My husband said it to me and bought me a sweet book and it was adorable.
My mom has posted on Facebook at least 4 times in the past two days something like "happy Mother's Day to all the pet moms!" ...just starting to irk me a bit because as a cat/dog owner and mother to a 2.5 year old, I can say that owning a pet is NOT equivalent to raising children. Maybe it's just because she just keeps repeating it over and over on Facebook that it's starting to piss me off this much.... It's just getting a little ridiculous though! Can't us moms just have our own day to be celebrated and not have to share with pet owners?!
