@JennM205- I vote for online chat any time it's possible in the least... and I do it while at work - that's what my second monitor is for, right? Bumping and online chats with companies that I despise?
Good luck to all having scans today, I'm so excited for all of you!!
Also, my kiddo slept all night, woke up around 6:15, babbled to himself, then was nearly impossible to wake at 7:25 when my husband really needed to get him to daycare (not in frightening way) just snoring and would roll over if we rubbed his back and told him to wake up. Guess that dinner of Lucky Charms kept his belly full! That will now be our go-to when I just can't.. an easy picnic-type dinner in the living room with a good show on, and honestly those nights of having fun will be more memorable for us both anyway!
Good luck to everyone with an anatomy scan today! Hope all goes well!
Random - I don't think my daughter is going to ever know what her first name actually is. DH and I have decided not to tell anyone the names that we've picked out for the babies but, when he and I are talking, we always refer to them by name. We decided on Josephine for the girl but I have yet to refer to her as Josephine or even Joey like I had planned. It's been Jo from day one.
JennM205 i had off monday and forced myself to call. I seriously dread them I would rather stand in like at the DMV. I had tons of issues with verizon last year and spent over 10 hours on the phone with them over the course of 5 months it was horrible! They just got bought by frontier and I had a suprisingly good experience on the phone with them this week!

I'm a little out of the loop because I'm in school and finals are happening now, so I'm just catching up. I've got to say that you're all great! I laughed out loud at most of the gifs, and this thread in general just made me really happy today!
My sleep has been crap for over a week now and I'm so exhausted. I've been following along here but too tired to even comment much. On Tuesday even my boss noticed how tired I was (an hour from going home time) and told me to go bc he was scared I'd fall asleep driving. I used to be a stomach sleeper but that went out over a month ago. I was given a hand me down Snoogle and I do not like it at all. I flip flop sides too much and dislike how it is rounded on both sides. @PoodleDoodleOoo That pillow looks great! I think I will splurge and buy one this weekend. I've been placing two pillows on either side of me right now and that looks easier lol.
@Sbrown721- On Tuesday I stood up from my desk to go pee and my boss announced "It's happening.. you're starting to waddle!" (He's a smart ass who gives everyone a hard time, it's kind of irritating and kind of lovable). I told him that I felt like I was waddling, so it didn't hurt my feelings (also, with a full bladder I was waddling to avoid any swift baby kicks that could spring a leak!). Another coworker popped her head out of her cubicle and said "That's ok.. [boss] waddles every day and has no excuse"
Note: We all take bump comparison photos with him at our baby showers because he rocks a beer belly, that's the kind of classy office we are!
@jhems776 I'm also typically a stomach and occasional back sleeper (never a side sleeper) and thought the snoogle was too invasive. I didn't want to be forced to full on body wrap around a pillow and didn't like the idea of having a pillow forced between my legs. With the back n belly, I can kinda lean on the pillow either towards my front or back so it kinda sorta feels like I'm sleeping on my stomach or back, but I'm still really propped up on my side. It's glorious! It's kinda big though, so DH isn't a fan of losing his bed space (he's a total bed hog), but I'm making his child so he can deal with it.
Totally forgot it was Cinco de Mayo until people on facebook reminded me. I loved all the 'fake' holidays and celebrating them. With the chilly rainy weather I doubt we will even go out for tacos.
Waddle = Pregnancy Swag - At least that's what I tell myself. But seeing that penguin in your comment, @AnnaS930 , makes me consider going back to calling Waddling.
@jhems776 - i just had to look up a mocktail margarita recipe since you mentioned it! I think I'm going to go with this one: https://www.thepinningmama.com/virgin-margarita-recipe/ since it's pretty straight forward and should be easy to make at a cinco de mayo celebration this weekend.
ETA: anyone else have good margarita mocktail recipes? I feel like it's one the hardest cocktails to mocktail since the tequila actually ads to the salty flavor (or so I think) unlike say, a mojito, in which the rum is nice, but not really necessary.
A coworker just asked if we want Dairy Queen.. I somehow said no. I've been really trying with keeping my eating within check (although I've certainly splurged once or twice over the past 2 weeks) and I have gone up and down but am currently at the same weight I was 2 weeks ago... have no fear, the baby/bump is growing but perhaps some of the other 19 pounds I've gained have decreased a bit
I'm catching up on all these posts! Phew...it's so great though. I'm laughing so much.
My random...Humans of New York started posting stories about pediatric cancer, and I'm tearing up at work reading the first one. My pregger emotions have been pretty mild and kept in check so far, but today for some reason they got to me so bad.
Also, I'm a bit sad that I'm pregnant today simply for the reason that I can't have a big ol' margarita and tequila is my favorite But this baby is so worth it.

Tagging you is way too hard so quoting it is. I heart HONY so bad. The refugee stories from awhile ago just about killed me. Brandon for president! (Also, Humans of Jerusalem is awesome as well.)
And yes to all the margaritas. This summer is going to be rough.
@Steephers123- it helps that it's already nearly 2 and I'm only here a little after 3 today (I'm on daycare pickup duty at 4pm). But let me tell you, my yogurt doesn't look nearly as tasty as it did before DQ was mentioned.
Well this is Teacher Appreciation week. I didn't realize until I got an email last week from the daycare administration explaining that they were going to have themed days and if we wanted to bring in a gift, bring in one to match each day's theme. I totally spaced out and we haven't been sending in a gift at all this week. I went on my lunch break and got a gift for the 3 teachers that rotate through DS's room - he will have a gift to take in tomorrow! For each teacher I got a $15 gift card, a thank you card, and one of those yummy looking single desserts in the bakery counter of the grocery store. I also got a dessert for myself.
@marajay6 - Darn! I hadn't thought of Teacher Appreciation week in terms of daycare.. and we certainly refer to those in the baby room as Teachers. Shucks.. the room rotates through a few people, so something bigger would probably be better than individual gifts. I think I'll be making cookies tonight...
Edited: The best donut place ever is on the way to daycare. I'll be grabbing them a dozen donuts in the morning, maybe with a cute phrase from Pinterest, maybe with nothing but a "THANKS!" as I hand them and the kiddo off.
@AnnaS930 How about: "Emmett and I 'donut' know what we'd do without you!" Also, as a teacher who was given donuts today, I can confirm that they will be much appreciated!
@Jabreen- I saw some cute signs that said that on Pinterest. I think I'll write it up on paper tonight in permanent marker, and let E color all over the page in crayon. Should be cute! Thanks!!
I finally brought myself to open the HDBD thread and uhm, who are a lot of the ladies posting on there? Lurkers who just want to post their bumps and not contribute in any other way? No shade, no harm, just legitimately perplexed at how some people choose to internet.

I understand about the concerns with the room rotating between people. At DS's daycore, there are 2 main teachers in each room, but there are also a lot of floaters that are in and out. For gift giving occasions, the director emails the parents information about the different teachers (gift suggestions such as favorite candy and suggestions for store and restaurant gift cards) and it assigns the floaters to each room so we don't have to buy so many gifts to cover them all. The director actually seems a bit conflicted about sending the emails - she doesn't want to sound gift grabby or make the parents feel obligated to buy gifts. But us parents can get confused and overwhelmed when we see 4 or 5 different teachers a week between drop-offs and pick-ups.

Ha! I know I feel like we are a tight-knit group and all the sudden people I dk pop up! Eh, to each their own.
@mom2adoodle I had the same thought. I recognize many from this thread on there so that's cool to put a face to the name but the others who only post on HDBD, I don't get it.
@marajay6- our daycare is identical to that setup but without the helpful emails! We have 2 teachers per room, and Emmett's room also has a volunteer grandmother (Grandma Shirely is the bomb dot com), and floaters who cover lunches and/or lend a helping hand during meal time or whatever. I'd love an email saying who I'm buying for with some ideas, that would not bother me in the least!
@mom2adoodle Hopefully I don't fall into that lurker category from HDBD! I have so much anxiety and feel like my interactions on here have consisted of "Hi, I like food. Yay babies. Cats." Social interaction has me like:
Alright ladies, I need some ideas/thoughts for our sex reveal party at the end of the month. We are expecting about 75 people, including kids of all ages. That being said, I am not sure on exact amount of guests.
I was originally thinking of doing cupcakes for the "reveal" but Sprinkles wants $48 for a dozen! I called other bakeries in the area and all prices were astronomical. Including cake pops! They wanted $4 per pop, what the heck! Fine, I'll spend the money but that means I need to order one for each person? Including kids? How do I know who will take a cupcake, so to speak? I don't necessarily feel comfortable announcing "One per family, folks!" So....Maybe a cake? Is that exciting enough? Especially for so many people?
I scoured the web and found the balloons in boxes, silly string ideas, etc. but none jumped out at me (well, more like DH vetoed a lot of the ideas). We also have scratch cards but passing out scratchers doesn't seem as fun. My mom keeps insisting my dog should announce it somehow but how? Tie balloons to her? She hates balloons. LOL. Help!
Re: May Randoms Thread
My random for the morning is that I'm in the process of calling the cable company...
Good luck to all having scans today, I'm so excited for all of you!!

Eta: Yes to the social media anxiety. Not the lurker category (which is def me). I have to stop myself from editing everything I post anywhere ever.
