@jhems776, I'm just over 22w and still feel the baby really low. She's almost always on the same side, but last week made a journey to the left side for a day, which was strange. Occasionally I'll feel her closer to my belly button.
My husband left for a work training this morning. He'll be gone until Thursday. Leaving me alone with our three year old. My only consolation is work and daycare. No help nearby otherwise. Hold me.
@thscary It's bound to happen with such an exotic name.
Seriously, though, not only is it a popular name that most people know how to pronounce, it's not that difficult to figure out just by looking at it. It's like saying Ian is hard because the I is pronounced with the same long E sound.
Do they think people are going to say Lie-am? Like lion with an M? I can't imagine people making that mistake easily. It just sounds weird and clearly wrong when pronounced like that.
@Thscary When I was working in childcare, we had a Liam. One of my coworkers would call him "Lie-am" as a joke. Liam is becoming more common and is easy to pronounce. And if that is their excuse, they realize any name can be mispronounced, right? My SIL is named Cheyanne and at her college graduation, the presenter called "Chaney".
@MojieJo@camichael84 , thanks for the reassurance. DH and I had no idea what to say, we couldn't even imagine how anyone would find the name difficult. I'm just a little peeved because DH values their input so much, so I hope he doesn't want to go back to the drawing board with names...
@Thscary people are so weird. Agree with pp... Don't tell people because they love to give opinions. I was 100% on Felix, and now everyone grumbles about it and it has me second guessing.
My random for the day is that I found the stroller I want! I just have to see if I can attach a running board, but that's not a huge priority.
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
Gross and rainy here too, @PSUBecky23 Kiddo fell asleep in the car after a baptism party for a friend's baby. Off to Starbucks for me. And maybe I'll park and close my eyes.
@Sporty1216 almost same here. Did a March of Dimes this morning and kiddo only napped 25 minutes in car after. Spent day at my parents house and he fell asleep now on the way home. I parked at the grocery store (was afraid we would drive my dog crazy if we pulled into the garage without going inside), and I'm listening to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me watching the rain come down!
Damn and now I have to go to the bathroom. Parked in my garage, gotta go #1 AND #2 otherwise I'd run inside to go quick but don't want to leave the little man out here. Waaaah
Good luck, @AnnaS930 ! I've had that happen before. The worst! And our garage is detached, so I can't even run in to pee quickly. One time, this did lead to an accident just as I walked in the door. I hope it goes better for you!
@AnnaS930 you are SO right! That's why I keep the "It's A Boy" pin on my bag now, so no matter where I go, I have a little reminder with me I can't get upset about other nonsense any more!
I have my anatomy scan tomorrow. I'm excited. DH took the day off and we're going to go out to lunch afterwords (assuming all goes well and we feel like celebrating.)
This pregnancy is just spinning by. I have done ALMOST nothing to prepare. I have a pinterest board. I bought one lamp, and crocheted about 4" of blanket.
@AnnaS930 I'm not going to lie, I considered stealing the idea. In the end, I wanted to show off McKenna because I don't post a ton of pics of her on FB. I just keep underestimating how hard photographing a toddler is.
Getting a clear picture of big foot would be easier.
I find myself doing mostly short videos these days.

I've saved some bedding sets that I like to a target registry. Maybe I'll pick up paint swatches this week. Totally on the ball with this pregnancy.
@KimmySchmidt I'm in the same boat as you! I have a Pinterest board and have bought a few baby clothes when I saw stuff on super sale. Other than that -- nothing. No registry yet, nothing in the nursery, nothing. My head spins when I think about strollers and car seats and I think I'm paralyzed by the shear amount of options out there!

These comments make me feel so much better! I have exactly one baby blanket, a stuffed toy and that is it! Just starting to look at mini crib options now. When I begin researching baby things or think about cleaning out the spare bedroom I feel overwhelmed, tell myself that I still have time and go do something else.
It's probably because we just had the a/s on Thursday, but I spent pretty much the whole weekend focused on things for the baby. Picked out a ton of things for the nursery. Started my Amazon registery. Started looking at backpack diaper bags, since we're switching once #2 gets here. Ordered her (and DD) some clothes from The Children's Place.
Then on Sunday, DH asked me why I wasn't looking for stuff for McKenna (in regard to the nursery). Umm... because her nursery is done? I'm probably being irrational, but it made me feel like he doesn't care about the baby as much as McKenna. Even with the new baby on the way, 90% of what we buy child-wise is for McKenna. She's not getting cheated because a new one is on the way. Nor is she getting less attention and love. So I don't know why he even thought to bring up that I wasn't looking for things for her room.
For any FTMs who are feeling overwhelmed by all of the "stuff" - for the first few months, baby really doesn't need much. Car seat, clothes, diapers/wipes, bottles and formula (unless you're nursing) and a place to sleep (which likely won't even be a crib right away). Done.
I had about 6 outfits for baby as of yesterday(all impulse buys), and that was it. Then DH and I checked out a furniture thrift store nearby just to see if they had any cribs or got them in on a somewhat regular basis. Well, we ended up finding a lightly used DaVinci Kalani 4-in-1 convertible crib (with toddler railing and hardware) and matching dresser with changing table attached all for $185! No one I talk to in real life has any idea what a ridiculously low price that is, so I'm hoping you guys will share some of my excitement! We brought them home yesterday, and deep cleaned them. This is getting real!

@PSUBecky23 good luck! That's gotta be rough.
