I'm so jealous of all these fun u/s! I'm 8+3 weeks a long and my doctor won't see me until I'm 12 weeks! May 26th is my first appt
***TW Loss Mentioned***
Don't be too jealous. I'm having early ultrasounds because I recently had a miscarriage. Some women have early ultrasounds because they've had to deal with infertility and are seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. Others get early ultrasounds because they've had bleeding and/or cramping. Just saying.
First appointment was confirming pregnancy/dating ultrasound this morning. Measured at 8+3 so in December but based on LMP I'm due 11/30 so they said they would leave it in November since it wasnt a huge difference. I went to the November board but I'm so far behind that I hope its ok if I stay here! Haha
This is so fun! I don't have my appointment until the 4th, I'm excited! Then I was thinking about all these pics, and realizing I'm seeing babies in uteruses, we are an intimate group! Lol I don't know why it just seems funny to me, call me weird.
Had our first appt today and, because of all of the bright red spotting the last couple weeks, we had an impromptu ultrasound as well. I didn't get a take home pic as the sono was done at the hospital rather than the Dr office but we saw everything we needed to :-) HB was 120 and measuring at 6w6d instead of 7w1d - she said just to keep our original estimate of 12/12 EDD for now. So relieved after all the worry. Hoping with the 120 HB we have another little boy :-)
Just had my first ultrasound today. 6 weeks 4 days. Absolutely hated my ultrasound tech. She barely said two words. Baby has a heartbeat but we didn't get to hear it. I had more questions after than I did going in. The whole thing was in and out in 10 minutes. Needless to say I was pissed off. This isn't my first pregnancy either. This is my third.
You guys!!!! Holy SHIT!!!! So, I went back today since baby measures 6 days behind last week. Today, there were TWO!!! We're having twins! I'm so dumbfounded. Equal parts excited and scared shitless. How in the literal F did I grow a second child in a week that measures 7w2d?????? I'm kidding on the last part, kinda. Here's our healthy little beans!!! Heartrates of 166 and 172.
First appointment was yesterday at 6w2d. Was told everything looked good (in the right spot, only one) and saw the heartbeat flicker. Will get to hear the heartbeat when i go back in 5 weeks.
Had an earlier ultrasound than planned due to a possible infection (that turned out to be nothing praise The Lord!) but baby had a strong heartbeat that we were able to hear! The most beautiful sound we've heard in 4 years
Measuring 8+2 at my ultrasound today! RE is discharging me to my GP. They told me my edd is my birthday (December 1) but the calculator (based on 14 days prio to my o date to make a 28day cycle) says December 7 so I will stick with that.
I'm 8w4d and the obgyn I was referred to is so busy she can't see me until I'm 11 weeks. I have seen my GP and have had all blood tests.l haven't had any ultrasounds. Should I request to switch obgyn? I booked the appointment 3 weeks ago.
@amm126 -man you don't know what you did for my brain today. I am in one of my worry modes. My US is scheduled for next week at 6w2d. I am praying we get a fetal pole and a flicker. I was happy to see yours at the same GA!

@DiFazette omg!!!!! and I was JUST saying there seems to be no moms with multiples on this board!!!! I'm so excited for you!!!! (and a little jelly :P )

I was very nervous before I went in. Feeling so relieved now.

So happy After 2 early miscarriages, it was incredible to hear our baby's heartbeat. My FAB OB/GYN said that now that we've heard a healthy heartbeat and a great ultrasound that our miscarriage percentage drops by 95%. What a relief!!!
Measuring 8w5d. This is the biggest I have ever seen the baby in an u/s. So unreal, and I am so relieved. I go back next week-9w4d which is my mc milestone-I hope everything still looks good! HB 160b/min.
@renaudbabyIf you get an answer to this I would be curious to know. I'm 8+4 from my LMP and today was my first appointment. But just as you I won't see my obgyn (referred to by primary) until the 20th. I was seen by the nurse practitioner and was told that my first US wouldn't be until my prenatal testing (27th) which is so frustrating.

This is pretty standard. Most OBs won't see you until your first ultrasound sometime between 10 and 12 weeks. The ladies here that are having early ultrasounds are most likely working with REs or are experiencing issues or have experienced issues in previous pregnancies
Maybe y'all can settle my mind! I don't have my u/s pic handy to share but ... It was done on 4/20 and showed everything looking fine. We saw (but didn't hear yet) a heartbeat of 121. I thought I was 7 weeks and 2 days but the baby measured at 6+2. I'm noticing that many of y'all had your dates change and then scheduled a follow up u/s to check growth. My doctor hasn't mentioned doing that, and the tech only said that I likely O'd later than I thought.
Here are my questions: Are y'all doing rechecks because you're more confident in your O date? Is it ok to adjust your "timeline" and not do that recheck? What's "the norm?" Thanks in advance.
My doctor didn't mention a recheck..they felt like it was in the realm of normal. So I took my cues from them. But, I know how you feel..I came here and saw people getting those and started to second guess!
