R/R/CS: No rants but questions.. does anyone take anything to increase their fertile CM? interested in hearing what you do!
GTKY: My recent favorite recipe is Brussells Sprout Hash with capers and lemon. it has hazelnuts in it and it's just delicious. I've never liked brussells sprouts so this is so exciting for me lol.
R/R/CS: Well the thoughts that my body was actually working were slashed this morning as my temp went down again. Wishful thinking on my part.
GTKY: I love this spaghetti squash chicken parm thing. You cut a spaghetti squash in half, scoop out the insides and then roast it cut side down with olive oil, salt and pepper for an hour. Then you dice and cook chicken breasts. After the squash is cooked you shred it inside the shell. Put a layer of tomato sauce on the shredded squash, then put the chicken in cover that with sauce and then put mozzarella cheese on top. Then bake that for 20 minutes. So yummy.

WAYDTGKU: Talked to my RE yesterday, and we are sticking with the same plan this month: Clomid CD3-7, Ovidrel trigger, and we have to decide if we want to add an IUI this month or not. I'm pretty sure I am not going to temp this month. My chart last month was beautiful and it meant nothing, and I think I'd like a break.
R/R/CS: I'm not sure if I want to add the IUI or not, and DH of course has no opinion and is leaving it up to me. On one hand, I feel like my TSH is finally where it needs to be, so maybe we should just try a couple more months on our own. But on the other hand, the RE says she doesn't think my TSH was the sole contributor to me not getting KU, so I don't know if it will make much difference. And like all of us, I wanted to be pregnant yesterday (11 months ago actually) so I feel like if this option is available and being recommended, why not do it to up our chances?
GTKY (stolen from TWW): What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? Chicken parmesan. I don't have my own recipe, but that is my go-to meal when we go out to eat.

WAYDTGKU: Provera Day 5. Last day. Now just waiting for AF.
**Question Below** R/R/CS: It is absolutely miserable here today. Pouring rain. Makes me so sleepy! And lazy. Also, I'm a lunatic and I cannot stop googling Letrozole + Novarel + IUI. Which is the course of action our fertility doc is putting us on. I'm afraid that 1) I will miss CD 1. I'm pretty sure they think CD 1 is full on bleeding and not spotting. Does this sound right? Last Provera round I spotted for a full day before I really bled. So obviously I'm paranoid I will somehow miss CD 1. Which I won't. 2) I'm a pro at giving myself shots. My MS meds were injectables (sp?). But for some reason I'm nervous to give myself the Novarel when the time comes. Anyone used this before? 3) I'm afraid the IUI will hurt like the hsg did. All my IUI ladies, hows the pain measure up? 4) I'm worried that we only have an 8% chance each cycle. So yeah, BSC mode in full force.
GTKY (stolen from TWW): What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? So I make, homemade, the world's best red sauce. I could give you the recipe, but the age old, I'd have to kill you stands true. I'll give you the absolute base ingredients. 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 can of tomato sauce, 1 small can of tomato paste. I love to put it over cavatelli with homemade meatballs. Hands down one of my favorite meals. Death roll meal probably.
@lisswastaken, I've increased by water intake (I use an app called Plant Nanny to keep me on track), I also take 2 1000mg EPO a day from AF to O, and I've started raspberry tea leaf this month (although that's to strengthen your uterine wall not help with CM)
@mrsdaddario I worry about missing CD1 also, or more so calling CD1 when it's not quite there if that makes sense. I'm not a good judge of when I cross the threshold from spotting to CD1, but it hasn't been a problem yet. One month I think I actually did take my Clomid too early, like days 2-6 instead of 3-7 like I was supposed to. But I'm assuming you will be going in for ultrasounds, so it will be okay, they will know what's going on even if you're a day off somehow. As far as the IUI, I'm going to be stalking for answers as well, because I'm terrified of experiencing the pain from my HCS again, and from what I understand, they use the same type of catheter method for an IUI. But I've never really seen anyone mention anything about an IUI being painful, so I'm really hoping it's not if we decide to go that route.

WAYDTGKU: EPO, RRL tea, OPKs starting in 5-ish days, and HIO EoD
R/R/CS: I checked my due date if I were to get KU this month and the timing could not be worse (which is fine, I just want to be pregnant no matter when the due date!!). But I have managed to convince myself that if I think, "Oh, it wouldn't be great to get pregnant this month," then I'll definitely get pregnant. My crazy has reached new heights and we're only on CD 8. Get ready for some dooseys ladies.
@lisswastaken, I've increased by water intake (I use an app called Plant Nanny to keep me on track), I also take 2 1000mg EPO a day from AF to O, and I've started raspberry tea leaf this month (although that's to strengthen your uterine wall not help with CM)
@mrsdaddario CD1 will be the first day of full red flow, spotting doesn't count. The IUIfeels similar to getting a pap. I had some cramping and bleeding with my first IUI but none with the second. My RE says it's okay to take Tylenol so maybe taking some before will help. FWIW, my HSG was really painful but my IUIs haven't been painful, just some cramping/discomfort.
@sdlp123 YES, the pain lol. Out of all of my worries, I'm most worried about the possible pain with an IUI. The hsg was killer, and I didn't even have blocked tubes! I thought I had a decent pain tolerance, but I was on the table white knuckled with the hsg squeezing the handles for dear life.

Green tea can also help increase cm
^This. I drink green tea every morning and have noticed a significant difference since I started.
@LadyMillil Yeah, I'm worried about the bleeding as well. I bleed for 8 days with the hsg, and I'm thinking that would be really bad during the IUI. I'll have to ask about that!! Thanks!

OMG, yes. I had a HyCoSy, which is really similar to an HSG, but from what I read it SHOULD have been less painful. I didn't have blocked tubes either, but it was horribly painful. I actually felt sick and weak after and had to stay for a little while to recover, lol. Maybe I'm just a baby, but it was bad. I'm relieved to hear from @LadyMillilthat an IUI shouldn't be on that level.

R/R/CS: just overall annoyed with CD1, it's foggy and blah out so not helping to keep me alert and awake today
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? I love it when my H makes taco salad, his secret is he uses nacho cheese Doritos, yumyum so good.
R/R/CS: Has anyone tried the new Triscuit Smoked Gouda variety? They are SO GOOD.
GTKY (stolen from TWW): What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? Not my favorite recipe, but a good one that I've been making a bunch lately because DH is all about grilling when the weather is great like this. Extra Crispy Oven-Baked French Fries!
R/R/CS: I got so mad at DH last night.. we went to a professional networking event together at a beer bar in our town, and he got plastered. And therefore was extremely annoying on the way home and after we got home... He's not the greatest at knowing when to stop where beer is concerned, especially if he is really bored.. Which he was at this event. He was also up all night going to the bathroom and groaning (probably from a headache from all the high gravity beer) so therefore, I got no sleep. I'm thinking about leaving work early today to go home and get some things accomplished but I'm not sure I'll do that or not yet.
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? My favorite meal to make is low calorie chicken casserole. This is how I make it...
I put 3 chicken breasts in the crock pot with a little bit of water and leave on low for 8 hours to cook while I'm at work. When I get home from work I take the chicken breasts out of the crock pot and shred them into fine pieces. Then I get a 9x13 baking dish and in a separate bowl, combine Campbell's Healthy Request cream of chicken soup and an 8oz package of light sour cream. Then, I layer 1/2 of the mixture, shredded chicken, and the other 1/2 of the sour cream mixture, and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Then I microwave 1/2 stick of I can't believe it's not butter to melt it, and then add a sleeve of crushed Whole Wheat Ritz Crackers, and 1 tbsp of poppy seeds... Then pour that mixture over the top of the casserole and bake at 350 for 20 mins or until brown.
It's very tasty and easy to make, and DH (who is the pickiest eater in the entire world) loves it. I make it often. I usually serve with a veggie like roasted brussel sprouts or green beans

WAYDTGKU: nothing. Nothing at all. FW falls over a trip so H won't be here. He doesn't seem to want to have sex and based on the last attempts there's nothing I can do. So yeah. Good times
R/R/CS: I'm kinda over it. Like all of it. This month is out and it hasn't even started and then after that my schedule is so busy that I don't get home til after H is asleep and leave before he wakes up. And it's not like he could possibly stay awake or get up early. Like I said, I'm over it
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? I like food. Anything.

R/R/CS:
solid smiley on adv OPK and temp rise today.... Wonder if that acupuncture helped speed things along....
@doctordonna I'm glad your acu appt went well! Mine ended up being a consult plus first treatment . The doc is nice and preaches good diet and exercise along with treatment (then again what doctor doesn't!). His explanation was much less "woo woo" than I thought it would be. He said the acupuncture will help stimulate the muscles and organs to basically do their damn jobs better. He swiftly put in all the pins (hurt a little more than I thought it would but I was really tense at first). He also applied a little electrical impulse to some of the pins In My abdomen. I don't know that I understand the total approach we are taking so I plan on asking more questions later (I always forget to ask good questions!). He mentioned something about a machine to check my energies next week... So I am intrigued. Why type of plan did yours outline? Is it all pokey pokey or are there any other elements to it?
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share??
my favorite meal involves carbs and I can't have those at the moment so neither can any of you!!!
WAYDTGKU: PNV, diet, exercise, acupuncture, and some BDing in a few days.
R/R/CS: DH has his SA scheduled for a week from today. They told him he needed to ejaculate at least once this weekend and no more after Saturday. He came home and tried to suggest that we BD this weekend and I had to break the news to him that my HSG is on Friday (which he knew about), but it didn't sink in that I would most likely need to abstain after the procedure. He is now angry with me. It also means that we might be out this cycle and won't truly get to try any kind of treatment until June. I'm bummed, but I'm more concerned about getting things right in my body. If we wait a little bit, I'll be in better health, which will hopefully help with any future pregnancies. I think it'll be okay. Plus, now I get another month to focus on my diet and exercise, then maybe I'll actually want to go to the pool...
Edited to add: @furbabymom2007- my acupuncturist is much more medically-inclined than I thought she would be. She wants to see my CD3 labs and the results from any tests I've had done, like my HSG on Friday, so that she can adjust my treatment based on that. She said she can move the needles around based on what needs the most work. We're just going to stick with the needles for now, which didn't hurt as much as I had thought. She's also recommending to add Vitamin D supplements and a Castor Oil Compress to help keep my uterus warm (?). She gave me a bunch of book recommendations, but I don't know that I have those with me right now. I'll return later if anyone is interested.
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? We make these things called rice balls every Christmas Eve. It's a Sicilian tradition. I wish I could give you all the recipe, but it's literally just throwing the ingredients in until it looks right. And in case you can't tell, that's spaghetti sauce and powdered sugar on it. Sounds gross, but it's SOOOOOOO delicious! We look forward to it every December!
R/R/CS: I'm grumpy as all hell today. We're going on week 4 without sex. I tried to talk to H about it to see if maybe he felt too much pressure and he wouldn't talk to me about it.

@Dilynne ugh, I have tried to have the same talks. Do they not know how a baby is made????
@DoctorDonna I love your attitude about possibly missing out on timing but getting your body healthy for future cycles. I had the same thoughts about my H's travel and starting on massage/acupuncture this cycle AL. Also, I love that you make arancini!!! Are you Italian? We ate those in Sicily constantly. They do pastries for breakfast and that or cipollina (phyllo dough pastry folded up with ragu, cheese, and sautéed onion) were my go-to savory options.

R/R/CS: I'm doing ok here, just hanging out. I wish I could get in to do the MLD massage this week before my H gets home and we get back into the swing of TTC. My parents are here, and my mom just told me she's newly diagnosed with diabetes. There are 3. gallons. of ice cream sitting in the bottom of my freezer that they bought. Needless to say we are working on meal planning and dessert strategies. I want to find a good workbook for her.
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? My H and I have been on a butternut squash soup kick lately.
Ingredients: butternut squash and chicken broth or better than bouillon and water (amount is totally personal preference)
Cut squash in 1/2 length-wise and scoop out the seeds. Drizzle with olive oil & S&P, then place skin-side-up on a baking pan. Place in the oven at 385F for 40-50 minutes, then cut all of the skin off. Toss in a blender with chicken broth to desired taste and blend to desired consistency (longer for smoother, creamier soup). We use this to simplify prep and ingredients, and it's still so good!

R/R/CS: Guys, I gained 3.4 lbs this week. Ugh. I would love to think that this is due to my thyroid med dosage being lowered in the past 3 weeks (and that is probably a tiny part of it) but I also ate and drank way too much this weekend. Ugh. I need to get my shit together and stop eating like a pig/start working out more.
On a fun note, I get to leave work tomorrow to head to St. Louis for the FIRST Robotics Worlds Competition to rep my university. Pretty fun, especially as one of my high school bffs lives there and we are getting together. I will eat like crap there too though. Boo. So, I will be posting and ghosting from probably tomorrow-Sunday...boo, I hate doing that!
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? I love food (see above). I have a lot of fave meals, but one of my recent faves is a burrito bowl recipe that I found on Pinterest: https://www.number-2-pencil.com/2014/05/22/one-pan-chicken-burrito-bowls/ This makes a TON of food and we easily can eat leftovers of it for a week. Yum!

WAYDTGKU: BBT and still waiting for AF to leave, having lots of deep talks with DH about what to expect this month
R/R/CS: I woke up to take my temp today. Hooray! For some reason I totally slept through the alarm yesterday. I hate a sloppy chart. DH likes to have a feeling for what is going on with everything. So, last night as we were going to bed I told him when we would need to start having lots of sex and gave him permission for quick and selfish sex because I am definitely the kind of woman who is totally satisfied with sex once a week. Having sex 5 times a week is going to be rough for me. He is such a sweet man and totally gets it. But, is still super stoked for the lots of sex. (He could definitely have sex 5 or 6 times a week and be happy)
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share?? Way to many to count. I like a lot of food, really. DH's favorite is my apple pork chops. Super simple seasonings with apple juice and slices of apples covering the pork chops. It keeps them so moist and delicious. I love a good fatty pasta dish. I generally kind of make them up. There is cheese and cream and delicious seasoning involved. haha! Also, homemade Lo Mein happened at our house last week. So easy and delicious. It will definitely happen again.

@leekat14Obviously the stork. If I'm going to be honest, my self esteem has been taking a serious hit because you always hear these stories about husbands that want sex all the time and it's the women that need them to slow down and I know that's some serious gender stereotyping but like... what's wrong with me that he's okay going 4 weeks without.
R/R/CS: just getting annoyed. I know I'm pretty fortunate in life but I'm definitely hating on an in law relative who got ku and is absolutely in no position to be. She's a terrible person with no job, living off of relatives. And the father is barely out of childhood. My husband told me I can't be 'bitter' (right?!) about everyone who gets pregnant. I explained, much more calmly than I thought I should, that 'bitter' is not okay and that I am sooooooo happy for the people I love, the people that want a child. I am so not happy for her specifically. Boo.
GTKY: What's your Favorite meal? Do you have a recipe to share??
Omg okay, I love a homemade Mac and cheese recipe. So not healthy, but it's heavenly. I mean, you need to invite people over to eat it so you don't. Or freeze it. It freezes and thaws really really well. I've tried to make healthier swaps, but it's just not the same. I only have a picture of the recipe because I tore it out of a magazine and have sent it to practically everyone I know. And I'm a messy cook, sorry for the poor condition

Basically, if you follow this recipe, you will be able to make meatballs better than an Italian grandmother. Trust me.

@Dilynne@leekat14 ladies I am right here with you, lol. I have come to terms with this, but we still get in a fight every couple of months about it. We took that languages of love test, of course his language of love is acts of service, i wish it was BD, but for him it's like doing the dishes, or vacuuming, very sexy! haha My language of love was words of affirmation and physical touch....soooooooooo...let's just say we are completely different pages! R/R/CS: Non TTC related rant, so this morning I took DS for his 2yr old well visit. And a little backstory, DS has always been small. Weight has usually been around the 20's %tile wise, and height around 10 or lower %tile wise. But to be fair DH and I are both small people. I am 5'2 and he is 5'5. Well DS has always been hugging the bell curve, the very low end but not below it. Well today was the first time they moved him to the real scale and measuring him on the wall as opposed to baby scale and the tape measure. his weight was fine, 25%, but his height didnt grow at all since 18 mo, and is -1%. His Dr said he wants to send him to a pediatric endocrinologist for testing. That it may just be genetic that he is going to be small, or he could have a problem with his growth hormones or something else causing him not to grow as fast as other kids. So of course now I am freaking out.

**Question Below**
R/R/CS: It is absolutely miserable here today.

Edited to add: @furbabymom2007 - my acupuncturist is much more medically-inclined than I thought she would be.
