Ill try my best to write it phonetically... It would be (Kee-dai-ah). Were Latino and I wanted a name that would sound pretty with an accent as most of our family does have one, easy to pronounce once you heard it. I fell in love with the name Kida. So I mixed that with aya (it just popped in my head, and i like the air like breath that happens when you say it) It turns out while researching where the name came from, other than a Disney movie, Kida is actually native american for "Jehovah has given/ Gift of God" or "raising away the darkness". Her middle name Rey (french) - means wise, bold and courageous ; Rae (Scottish) - grace beautiful unique.
@kristynmac DS is named Cameron and we call him Cam. I actually fell in love with the nickname first, I think it's so cute for a little boy!
@tere6807 My middle name is Rae and if we ever have a girl (I'm having another boy this time) that will be the middle name, but I never knew the meaning! I love it!

We love the name Cam! My DH's is always called Mac so we liked the idea of just switching it around, but we wanted the middle name Cass and Cam Cass just didn't work so Camden it is
We are having a girl and naming her Lucy Elizabeth, but if we would have had a boy it would have been Sawyer. We couldn't decide on a middle name, but Sawyer was our top.
Im naming my little fella Leland Zachary (C) last name. My EDD is 08/10/16 Im a FTM 36 and 22w3d! Just recently started felling his little movements a milestone I thought would never come!!!! I have another U/S on 4/19/16 and can't wait to see my buddy again and get some pics to compare his growth from four weeeks ago!!
We'll be naming our daughter Loreli Ruby Bennett (two middle names). My younger sisters best friend passed away a couple weeks ago and he went by Bennett. He was only 17, so we decided to help his name live on. His mother cried when we told her.
We're team green. If the baby is a girl, her name will most likely be Genevieve Jane. We have not settled on a boy name yet. Our first son is Christian Joseph.
We are having a boy and after nixing Thomas Jeffrey.... because we now have a close friend Thomas and my DH is afraid it will seem like we named our son after a friend (even though it is really after his grandfather) we decided on Tanner James.
pretty sure he will be Elliott Michael R. Elliott is for the late musician Elliott Smith and a slight Ben Folds reference. Also love Pete's Dragon and E.T. Michael for my FIL, and coincidentally same initials as my DD Emaline Marjorie. Her first name is after a Ben Folds Five song and her middle was my mother's name.
We are having a boy and have decided on Jack Michael. Jack was my great grandpa's nickname( his real name was Carl) We had girl names decided on also. Isabelle Rose or Clara Rose- all family names from my side. Isabelle was our first choice, and were going to call her Izzy. If he can talk me into one more, we may go for that.
We are expecting girl #2! Our first little is Raeleigh Sue. Rae is my moms middle name and Leigh is mine. Sue is from my mother in law and sister in law's middle name which is Susan. I wanted to keep our second little's name in the family too. Her name is Caroline Christine. Carol is the name of my husband's grandmother who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2009 and Christine is my grandma's name.
We are team green, too! We have names picked out, but I keep going back and forth with one of them. We don't share our names, so this is the first place I'm writing them down!
Dutch Thomas - after a great-great uncle and my father-in-law Doris Mae - after my grandma and mother-in-law
Torn between Lindsay Marie and Samantha Marie. First names are what we like. Marie was a random suggestion from my H that I wasn't in love with but then realized it's my best friends middle name and she introduced my h and I so I love it.
Our DD is Lauren Elizabeth. Not named after anyone at all.
Short form of RACHEL. It can also be used as a feminine form of RAY.
Rachel means "ewe", Ray is a diminutive of Raymond and means "Beam of light."
Thanks for sharing this! I didn't know Rae was a short form for Rachel, which is my middle name! We are looking for a 1 syllable middle names and this could be an option!
We are 99.99% agreed on a first name (I think the last ultrasound and finding out we are having a girl made it get really real for H so he's having trouble committing 100%).
We love the name Calista with a nickname Cali. It's Greek and means "most beautiful ". H's family is Greek so it's nice to the that in so I think I'll get more leverage with a middle name.
So far I was thinking "Jean" as that's my moms middle name. I'm super close with my mom and 90% sure I'll have her on my birthing team. Plus she lives close by so she'll prob have a huge roll in our baby's life.
So far... Calista Jean Calista Rae
any other 1 syllable suggestions???

We have officially decided. Our DS will be Jackson James. We will call him JJ. We are huge Houston Texans Fans and ofcourse JJ Watt may have some influence in our choice of nick name.
34 Mother of 4 year old and 2 Labs. Happily Married to my Hubs of 6 years.

@megframe16 no we don't have any that we are for sure on. I still think if it's two girls they will be Claire or Clara ans Caroline with our mothers names incorporated for middles names and we have no real candidates for boy names besides Barrett. Which leads me to believe they will be boys and not girls. We know they are identical so it will either be boys or girls
Well at least you know you're getting two of each! I was convinced there we had one of each and we had names picked out for that option and for boys! We o it had one girl name.. Of course! Caroline was in our list too but I think we finally figured them out but I'm not 100% sure. (As you've seen my battle already! Ha!) @tmk0325
