    Timing: -4,-2,0,+1

Testing: no plans til maybe 11 or 12 DPO.

R/R/CS: i got solid CH today! I'm so used to dashed cuz I normally never turn an OPK. My temp is solidly above coverline. I feel really good about our timing and trying not to get my hopes up too much.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? we are going to visit my in-laws in California in a couple weeks so hopefully going to go to the zoo and Disneyland.

  • Month/cycle: 10

    CD/DPO: 26/12 or 13

    Timing: Okay

Testing: BFNs all over the place

R/R/CS: I got my TSH results last night and it is down to 1.06 from 3.52 a couple months ago. My RE said that she didn't think that would be the sole contributor to me not getting KU, but I'm so happy to know that I am down into the ideal TTC range. I had the tiniest bit of brown-tinged CM last night, so I fully expected a temp drop this morning and spotting to start, but my temp went up and so far no spotting. I foolishly let DH convince me to buy some digitals and FRERs and let a little bit of hope creep in. My chart looks like a dream, but the BFNs are telling the real story.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? Moving into our new house, DS's birthday, baseball games, a couple of long weekend stay-cations, and hopefully announcing a pregnancy ;)

    Month/cycle: 5/4

    CD/DPO: 37/10

    Timing: -3

    Testing: yesterday, bfn. Today, bfn.

R/R/CS: I normally have spotting beginning around 8 dpo. My lp has only been 10 days the last few cycles since coming off bc. I had a little bit of red spotting this morning but it seems to have subsided. I guess I'll see if it continues, but I'm pretty sure I'm out. Question- since I normally have a 10 day lp, that means any implantation would have to occur before 10 days right? Or the liking would already have begun breaking down?

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer?
At work we have summer Friday's and close early. I'm looking forward to that!

@megzb510 welcome! You have great timing. Fx for you!

Posting and ghosting, back this afternoon to leave ~comments~

    Month/cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 25/8

    Timing: -3, 0, +1

Testing: Tested this morning as a safety check because I'm getting a massage this morning (which was a no-brainer bfn, but for the sake of safety), but no, not again unless I miss AF

R/R/CS: I had the weirdest thing happen to me last night. I've been REALLY tired lately, but I went to bed and I was having insomnia (not even slightly normal for me), and then as I laid there... and OH was still awake, reading, my hands and feet got extremely cold. But I didn't feel cold. I just felt unwell in general but not in the sense like "I have a cold." He tries to give me food but I'm like, "no, no it's OK."  Eventually go to sleep, have the most insanely vivid dreams (one in which a bunch of people here got BFPs, FX for you guys! lol) and then wake up drenched in sweat, temperature slightly up from yesterday. So... I have no idea wtf. And I don't want to google ANY of that because I'm sure it's just nothing but people SS and I promised I wasn't going to do that this cycle. But I will acknowledge that it was freaking weird!

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? Going to Denmark and Iceland! We leave in 2 weeks :)

    25/13

    Timing: +1

    Testing: none in the plans

R/R/CS:  Ready for AF to make her appearance so I can move on to next month.  Will likely start spotting today, and start tomorrow.  I felt really crummy last night, which I know is a signal of what's coming.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer?  We don't have any vacations planned, but are trying to devise a plan to sneak away to the beach even if it is over a Thursday-Sunday. I'm also looking forward to painting my little heart out. (I know yall are probably sick of hearing me talk about painting!) I love when the weather gets warm because I love to paint outside... I already have a pretty full schedule starting to line up for summer so that's exciting.. And because I love food I'm also looking forward to all the grilled foods we will be whipping up with our grill :)

    Timing: -5, -2, -1

    Testing: None

R/R/CS: Didn't even bother testing this morning because my temp took a huge nose dive, followed by spotting when I got up to go to the bathroom. AF should be here either today or tomorrow.

**TW: Totally selfish rant. I know that others have been TTC much longer than me, and many of you have other diagnoses that are making it difficult for you to conceive. I feel like an insensitive jerk for feeling this way, but I needed to get it off my chest.**
I've pretty much felt this whole cycle like this wasn't going to be our month. I had plans to test today, and although I felt like I knew it would be negative, I am still completely devastated to resign myself to starting a new cycle. Even though I've only been TTC for six months, I feel like my TTC journey started two and a half years ago, when I decided to live healthier and lose weight (I've lost 100lbs since then) so that I could be as ready as possible for pregnancy/motherhood. I just don't know what else I can do. Getting my heart broken every month is crushing me. It feels like so many people in my life are getting pregnant right now, many of them on accident, and many of them drink and smoke, and then I'm over here taking my BBT every morning and doing OPKs twice a day for six months and I'm still not pregnant. I'm confused, exhausted, and pissed off, but mostly I'm just really, really sad.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer?
Not much yet, really. Usually I sign up for a few CrossFit competitions, but didn't this year because I thought I'd be KU. I'd like to get a few hikes in.

  • @Lecool so sorry you are having a rough day. You are always so supportive of everyone, there is definitely no need to feel like you are being insensitive for the way you feel, you have every right to be upset. This process is so so hard, and it really sucks when you are doing all the right things and still not getting results. I really hope you are able to do something nice for yourself today. Big hugs to you.

  • @megzb510 Congrats on solid CH and good timing! It's funny how exciting these things can be.
@sldp123 Sorry about the BFNs. I hate how we can be so good at convincing ourselves that there is hope when there is evidence to the contrary. Our brains can really wreak emotional havoc!
@sandwichlover sorry about the BFNs. I'm not positive on your question, but I think that is true (and in my understanding, why a slightly longer LP is ideal).
@canavara I have also promised myself not to google random crap but I'm already having a hard time and only 4dpo. I'm impressed by your willpower.
@lecool Girl, I know exactly how you feel (and I'm sure a lot of us do). I'm so sorry you're having a rough day--TTC seriously blows. It's so unfair how so many people get KU without a second thought, and here we are (like you said), doing everything we can possibly think of with no success. There are few things more defeating than putting so much time and mental energy into something with no reward. The only thing that helps me each month is to try to think of something H and I can do that will be more fun not KU/childless (but even that is getting more difficult). Hope you feel better soon. At least it's Friday so hopefully you can do something fun this weekend (or, at the very least, mope around without any obligations).

    Month/cycle: 8/8

    CD/DPO: 20/4

    Timing: -3, -1, 0

    Testing: no plans

R/R/CS: H's friend invited us to his baby's baptism this weekend and I feel like such a horrible person but I am so not looking forward to it. Out of all H's friends (who will all be present), we are literally the only childless or not expecting couple. One of the couples starting trying the same time we did and had success on the first cycle, so it's especially hard to see her and think, "that could be us" (except really, it obviously couldn't). H and I were talking about it this morning and he made the comment that now that all his friends are having kids, we have to use these occasions as an excuse to get together. I don't know why, but that comment just really pissed me off--so we only get to hang out when a child is getting baptized or having a birthday party? I can't even explain why it made me angry and now I just feel silly. I'm sure I'm just bitter because we are always being drug around to baby showers, birthday parties, baptisms, etc. when we can't even get pregnant. It just feels like all of our friends are moving on to this next stage in life and are part of some cool club that we aren't invited to.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? Not working!! We have a few trips lined up that I'm excited about.
  • @lecool - First of all, a huge congrats to you for losing weight and committing to a healthier lifestyle. That is such a huge thing and you should be so proud of yourself. Second, rant all you need to! I feel the same way. It doesn't seem fair that it feels like everyone else can drink and smoke and still get KU and here we are doing everything 'right' and it's not working. It SUCKS! All I can say is I hear you and keep on doing what you're doing. It will happen...someway or somehow, it will. Try and enjoy your Friday!

@sldp123 - So sorry about the BFN but like everyone says, it's not over until AF. Your chart does look amazing...FX so hard for you!

@canavara - That is weird! Hope you're not coming down with anything unless its a BFP... I just went to Denmark last September. Is this your first time? It was an awesome country and I can't wait to go back. I think you said you'll be in Aarhus...that's where I stayed! Enjoy it!

@Marley629 - Allergies are the worst. Feeling it today, too.

    Month/cycle: 4/2

    CD/DPO: 23/5

    Timing: -3, -2, -1

    Testing: not until missed AF

R/R/CS: So apparently I got all up in a huff over what I thought was spotting yesterday. Waited for it the rest of the day and it never fully showed, so I didn't even mark it. I really wish I wouldn't obsess about this so much because it just made me feel really down all day. Going to try hard to focus on work today and then enjoy a yummy dinner with DH at a new spot down the street.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? Just being in a new place! We moved across the country and everything is different. We usually travel in the summer but since we just got here, we will stay local and do weekend trips to places. Looking forward to exploring and experiencing all the new things.

  • @sldp123 sorry for the BFN. Glad your TSH is in a better range now!
    @canavara enjoy that massage!
@Marley629 I was sneezing all over the place this AM because of allergies! Hope yours ease up soon.
@thj101 I am excited for grill season too! H loves grilling, I love not cooking ;)
@Lecool I'm sorry you are having a tough day today. Your feelings are totally valid and completely understandable. Hugs to you.
@felix08 thanks for the input.. that's what I thought too. Ugh. I'm SSing the spotting from this AM now since it hasn't shown back up, and usually once i start spotting it's pretty much every time I wipe. Sorry about the comment from H about "excuses to get together." My friends make those comments all the time and I'm like, why do we all of a sudden need an excuse? Like now that you have kids you never go out to lunch or something? It makes me mad too.
    @Kenya715 Enjoy eating out tonight!

R/R/CS: I deal with depression after O (PMDD). I've made changes in my life to eliminate extra stressors (like quit a crappy job a few months ago) and that has helped me manage more without meds (shouldn't take them while TTC). But some months are easier than others. Last night I yelled at DH for no real reason and went to bed at 730. I hate feeling like this and just want to lay in bed all day. Thankfully it's supposed to be a quiet day at work and I can just focus on work and not have to deal with a lot of people.

On a happy note, DH mowed the lawn yesterday and it looks so much better! We spent some time after work working in the yard and have plans to plant more flowers and stuff this weekend.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? I have lots of trips home planned! May for my nephew's birthday. June for a sibling date to see GARTH BROOKS!!! July for my mama's birthday. August for my other nephew's birthday. I'll also be running a half marathon that month too. Also lots of lake time with friends who own a boat.

Timing: Would have been better if H "just didn't want to" on O day...

Testing: I only let myself have 2 PTs per cycle.  So I'm holding out for 11dpo and then only if AF is late.

R/R/CS: I normally try my hardest to be positive everyday, but that just isn't working today.  I just feel like I'm on the verge of tears, and I don't even know why.

ETA: Well, I did actually burst into tears while talking to my boss a little while ago.  It was embarrassing, but now I feel a little better...  Plus the snark over in "that other" thread helped a bit too!

    CD/DPO:  19/1?

R/R/CS:  I thought I ovulated yesterday, but now I am not sure.  My opk went from being almost positive to clearly negative today.  My CP is harder and low, but I never got a super positive test like usual.  I have an appt with my doctor today and a progesterone test in a week.  She is going to tell me to keep having sex until the test, and I am going to want to jump out the window.  My lady bits are so over this.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer?   Nothing. We can't make any plans because we don't know if I will be pregnant and I don't want to travel in the first trimester due to morning sickness.  I made that mistake with DD and I was SO sick the whole trip...never again.

I also wanted to say that I am so happy I decided to join this board. You all make me laugh and everyone here is so kind.

@sandwichlover thank you for not making me feel like a crazy person for getting annoyed by that comment. FX your spotting does not turn into AF.

@redbreast35 I think we are the same person today. In my earlier post, I explained how I became irrationally angry at H for a meaningless comment and then I cried on the way to work. WTF! If I wasn't tracking my cycles to know I'm only 4 dpo, I would think AF is right around the corner.

I'm also on 6/6, but I also feel that my TTC journey started way before we actually started physically TTC....it's been years of "I'm emotionally ready, but not completely situationally ready" I would have been happy TTC right after our wedding in 2012, but this and that always prevented us from realistically/logically being able to start. Now things aren't fully ideal because they never would be anyways, but we're in a good place to actually try, and it's like WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG...I'M READY!

    Month/cycle:
    6/6

    CD/DPO: 30

    Timing: great from CD9-19

Testing: BFN this morning, will test again on Sunday if no AF by then.

R/R/CS: I already ranted a bit when I explained my FFFC (planning my emotional eating this weekend). I told DH, "btw, if I'm really not pregnant, as soon as AF comes, I'm buying a BBT and going all out with tracking...just so you know" he said he thought I already went all out because I have a little calendar on graph paper that I colour with AF days, test results, and days we have sex..I just laughed and said, "oh, you have no idea everything else I could be doing....." haha.
On a positive note, we got our permanent contracts today and went right to the bank to file a mortgage application....so that's good, but I was hoping to celebrate that AND a BFP this weekend...no such luck.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? DH and I are doing a road trip around Sweden and Norway, so I'm excited for that. We're also visiting our families, so it will be nice to see them (but now I'm all like, we only have one more cycle left to get pregnant before we're out of time and can't freely tell all our friends and family that we're pregnant in the summer!)

    TTGP history (*TW*):

    Started TTC Oct 2015
    BFP #1 June 2016: EDD 16 March 2017, MC July 2016

  • Just realized that I forgot to come back yesterday and say that I was heading over WTO.  AF came yesterday as i expected so CD 2 for me today.  Good luck to everyone in the TWW. I hope to see no one over in WTO.

    Month/cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 18/7

    Timing: -3, -1, 0, +1

Testing: tomorrow bc wine, and then not until 11-12dpo

R/R/CS: I had cramps for most of the early evening yesterday, focused on one side. Of course then all night I was going back and forth between "Yes, you're crazy, these are def AF cramps" and, googling implantation pain/cramps. Then, looking at every aspect of my last bfp chart. I'm trying so hard to not be a crazy person, but it's not really working. This morning at work an older woman colleague asked me to move some boxes for her, and all I could think was "Ha ha, not for long!" Mainly bc I am the youngest here and am always asked to do anything that might require a bit of physicality. *eye roll*

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? My bff is getting married so all of her celebrations are happening this summer.  I am MOH so I'm super stoked for all of them! Planning it all has been stressful (family drama), but I can't wait to celebrate her!!!

  • Yasss! @felix08 - It is way too early in TWW for this type of mood swing!

@BusinessWife you may have talked about this before, but what kind of singing/concerts do you do? That's so cool!
  • Month/cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 22/8?

    Timing: -4, -3, 0

Testing: I want to wait until (if) AF is late, but I think I'll probably end up caving and testing early next week!

R/R/CS: I am about 1/3 of the way through the "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" book and am both embarrassed and blown away at how little I actually know about my own body! If I end up being out this month, I will get a BBT thermometer and will start full-on charting next month. I have 4 different apps on my phone but have now learned that I am really just totally guessing about my timing!

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? A few trips are coming up, but I am really looking forward to slowing down from work and life a little bit and having some more relaxing time!

  • Month/cycle: 18/15

    CD/DPO: 31/10

    Timing: Good

    Testing: BFN today

R/R/CS: Doctor called with results of my pap. Have to go in for a biopsy due to abnormal cells. I'm having a hard time with it. If cells are mildly abnormal will continue to do a pap every 3 months. If cells are moderate/severe will have to treat with partial removal of cervix. I'm really really struggling.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? Meh. Sorry I suck today.
  • @Lecool Have fun in Vegas!  We are going in a few weeks!
DD born PPROM preemie at 36 weeks on 10/1/17 after over a year TI,
then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.

Due with #2 5/2/19 after HIO once in my FW,
because apparently that's how life works now. Team Blue!

  • @buthayna sorry about the BFN. Your trip this summer sounds fabulous...I may be slightly envious.
@stepy_p it is crazy how so many women are probably missing the FW because they go off the assumption of ovulating exactly 14 days after CD1. FX you don't need to start temping, though!
@ladylenhart ugh, so sorry about the less-than-stellar pap results. Hopefully you find that it's not severe.

  • @LadyLenhart I had a pap smear that came back with abnormal cell results a couple of years ago. I was so freaked out and stressed myself out so much that I was almost sick. I had to go in for a biopsy, but when she looked for something to biopsy, she didn't find anything and I just had to go back for new pap smears every couple of months for a while. I ended up having normal pap smears after a few months and ever since then. I know it is really hard because I got soooooo worked up over this all, but I hope you will be able to rest assured knowing that it is very possible that you are going to be okay. Your body is strong and can get rid of the abnormal cells! I will be thinking about you and will be hoping for the best for you!

  • @Megzb410 - Glad you you got your CH! Jealous of your timing :)

@sldp123 - Yay for good test results! Hoping your brown CM isn’t AF. I totally feel you on the perfect chart but BFNs though—yours looks A LOT like mine did last month and I was so disappointed.

@Marley629 — Allergies *do* suck. Especially during TTC when all the drugs that help them go away are so bad for you.

@Lecool — *hugs* I don’t think it’s selfish to feel that way—it’s awful that TTC is such a binary thing that you can’t just make progress at or something, and it’s brutal for that because it either happens or it doesn’t and then when it doesn’t, it’s hard to not feel failure. But, seriously, losing 100 pounds is AWESOME. That’s going to make a huge difference when it does happen :)

@felix08 — Your H’s comments about get-togethers remind me of things my OH said some really similar stuff, “We should be spending more time with your family so we can be around kids and get used to them while we still can” And I’m like, “Or we could just not force attending child-based events because I’m sure our bond with our LO, whenever that happens, won’t be anything like interacting with my cousin’s children…” Blegh.

@Kenya715 - Yeah, we’re going to Aarhus. First time in Denmark! Cool that you’ve been! Is there anything you did there that you’d recommend? We haven’t really planned any of the stuff we’re going to do there yet.

@linzrunz - Sorry you’re dealing with PMDD. I used to have it and it for whatever reason has not come back since getting off BC, but I remember it being a nightmare. It’s good when you have people in your life that are supportive and understanding and can just look past it :) Hope your week gets better though!

  • @canavara Thank you :)  From what I've read, been told, and experienced personally, BC can actually make PMDD worse.  I've tried going on it twice and both times, immediate crazy.  After going to the doctor, I finally sat down and identified the worst triggers.  Two of them involved major life changes - move to a different house and quit my job.  Once I had an official dx, DH became a lot more understanding and supportive too - I think because he had something to actually research.  He likes to fix things immediately when it comes to arguments and what not.  The thing he had to learn with PMDD is there no way to fix it.  There are only ways to cope with it.  I'm sorry that you had to deal with it and I hope it never comes back for you.

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? Sitting in the air conditioning.  Seriously, I'm not a fan of summer, and it gets in the 100s out here and I don't like it lol I guess the only thing I'm really looking forward to is my son's birthday.

R/R/CS: *TW: loss* So, I've had a few failed attempts at being active on this board. I'm decently active on TTCAL, and I made an intro post here a few weeks ago. Work practically flattened me for the past month, so I wasn't nearly as active as I'd like to be. I've been lurking daily for about a week, and I decided it was time to jump back in. So, getting to be active here instead of lurking is my rave today!

GTKY: what are you looking forward to doing this summer? I live to be outside when the weather is warm. DH and I have a few camping trips planned, bike rides whenever we can, porch sitting whenever possible (until mosquitos come out...) and just being as active as possible. DH is a musician, and the band is gearing up for a mini-tour, including a festival date, so that will be time consuming and fun. And the least fun thing will be trying to get our home in order - lots to do there.

  • @LadyLenhart I'm so sorry about your pap results. I'm sure it means very little when you're going through it, but it is not the end of the world. Good vibes and fx for good results at your next appointment. Hopefully, like @stepy_p said, it was one abnormality and it won't come up again. Fx.

  • @RedBreast35 I am a classical/opera singer, although I don't have much time for it right now with the business.  But I am singing with a big choral festival with 300+ musicians including the State Symphony Orchestra, a beautiful Mass at the cathedral.  This will be my third time doing it, and it's always an incredible experience.
