My best friend told me I HAVE to watch Parenthood because all the feels and I will cry all the time. And many others have told me that as well. I am halfway through season 3 and I HATE it! Can't stand any of the adult characters. Ugh.

I'm halfway through season 3 also and have kind of lost interest. I like that the characters all have flaws like real people but I don't care enough about them to keep watching. Also, I HATE Zeek. He's a big bully. I might watch an episode here and there if I'm bored but I'm not impressed.

I think snapchat is stupid. And it really annoys me when I'm walking in a public place and have people stop in front of me because their trying to do a selfie on snapchat

I don't know why this irks me but when HDBD posts are still streaming in on monday and tuesday. HDBD is wednesday! Save it for wednesday! I like seeing bump pics so it's not a huge deal but it still bugs me.

@FemShep Also freedom of speech refers specifically to the government impinging on free speech. It's not about private enterprises or companies making their own policies regarding what they will tolerate from their employees. So yeah, basically if you are a dumbass saying dumbass things and you get fired...well, sucks to be you. Try not to be a dumbass next time.

I'm not a fan of the high waist shorts/pants + short shirt combo where you see like an inch of torso look.

Not sure if I'm explaining that right, but Taylor Swift is a fan of the style.

I don't think I'm a fan of high waist bottoms in general- like, over your belly-button high- so to add the crop top to it all I think is "Girl, you didn't find a top OR bottoms that fit you correctly." I just think it looks weird.

@FemShep I work for ESPN and it's been a FUN day here. I'm a back up operator for customer service and we've been taking a verbal lashing all morning. It's hard for me to not say to these people " I AGREE WITH YOU! Stop yelling at me!" I get you're angry or what not but calling me names and screaming at me is gonna get you no where and 2 wrongs don't make a right. I for one agree with the firing, he was totally out of line with what he posted. Not a good representation of our company and what we stand for.

The “free speech” argument drives me crazy because 1) it’s almost ALWAYS used to defend some horribly offensive comment; 2) it’s never used correctly (to defend speech against government interference); and 3) people only use it to defend speech they agree with and rarely, if ever, would make a “free speech” argument to defend a statement against their own beliefs.

My unpopular opinion doesn’t seem like it should be unpopular, but it apparently is in my city if recent experience is any indicator. If you’re walking on the sidewalk with your friend and someone is coming from the other direction, you should MOVE BEHIND YOUR FRIEND for TWO SECONDS so the person coming in the other direction doesn’t have to step off the sidewalk and onto the grass to get past you. I know my stroller is a little bigger than the average person, but we’d ALL have room on the sidewalk if you just walked single-file for four steps.

Before you assume that my opinion is based off racism and I'm a big racist bigot, please let me assure you that I am not racist towards ANYONE. I've been in a serious relationship with an African American, I'm married to a Korean, and I have several African American family members and friends. I think that the movement has gotten out of hand and is far from peaceful. Maybe it's because my entire family is law enforcement, but I don't see the benefit of violent protesting.

^^ and I would argue the BLM movement is not inherently violent, but was adopted by groups that feel there is no other way to be heard than through destruction (at times I don't disagree with that sentiment). To call the entire movement "ridiculous" because of a smallish but visible segment totally disregards the underlying issues facing black America.

Then let me rephrase my statement so y'all don't assume that I hate black America. I think that violently protesting when an African American killed by a police office is absolutely not beneficial. I hate it. I hate it so, so much. I know racism exists. I know profiling exists. It's sad and it's disgusting and it makes me cringe that it still exists in 2016.

I guess should have just said that I hate LEO bashing. I'm sorry if I offended you (or anyone else).

I have mixed feelings about this.

I do think the movement was started with good intensions and I do think the sentiment "black lives matter" is extremely relevant, even in today's culture. People like to think of racism as something from the past, but as a white woman living in South Alabama, I can tell you racism is alive and well. I hear some form of racist insult (even the "n" word) at least once a week. And in reference to the bias in our justice system, specifically, take a look at this video by one of my favorite authors, John Green:

@sjo&thetwins, I've already deleted three people from my friends this morning for asinine comments like that.

A ) it's a PUBLIC restroom. I NEVER expect privacy in a PUBLIC restroom.
B ) When is the last time you saw someone else's vagina in a public restroom? Never. At least for me.
C ) The argument regarding predators is purely based on paranoia. Statistically, you (or your child) are more likely to be raped or molested by a family member.

Newsflash people, you've been sharing the restroom with the transgender population for years. YEARS.

I think fad diets are stupid and pointless. You have to change your entire lifestyle if you want to maintain a change. There is no perfect skinny pill folks. Good old fashioned exercise (doesn't have to be with a paid fitness trainer) and eating properly and not junk is going to give you long term results.

@nlane0723 I had a pretty strong reaction to your initial statement. I'm glad you clarified but I'm not exactly on the same page as you. I agree that violent protesting is bad. However, blacks are tired of being profiled. They are tired of racism. They are tired of seeing their friends and family being killed because of those things. It's not coincidence that it happens so frequently. I see it as waging war against these injustices when all else has failed so far. If the system is broken and won't be fixed, people will riot. I have a hard time taking people seriously who try to say, there is a better way. Decades of fighting racism and its still a huge problem. I believe it is one of the biggest issues this country is facing.

You can't force a bigot to change their mind. I'm happy to publicly shame racists so they crawl back into their hole. I hope that more whites stand up and support the blm. It is needed. Far too many people trivialize these issues by saying "all lives matter" or by focusing on "savage" acts. The question is not why can't they fight for their issues in a nonviolent way. Rather, what are these people experiencing that is causing these reactions. In my mind, it seems some who have a problem with the rioting and violence feel that these people don't deserve to be outraged or do something to bring about change. If anything had worked to change things the way they need to they wouldn't be here.

You brought up law enforcement. Law enforcement is there to protect the people. All of the people. I hope to see nation wide reform and policy to protect citizens from profiling and police brutality.

I didn't mean you specifically when talking about all lives matter. It's an unfortunately common response to blm. I think black people are tired of hearing the "I'm not a racist" statement while continuing to be obtuse about the issues they face. How can someone not be even a little racist and not rally to help. I'm not saying that you are racist. There are varying degrees of racism. I'm not saying anyone who would lock their doors as they drive by a "sketchy" person is the same as a KKK member. But there is some judgement going on there. What is behind that? Its built into this culture and society.

@nlane0723 there was much more to that conversation and thank God I am not actually friends with him on Facebook, but I had the same points. He is basically saying it will happen cause men are gross. What evidence does he have to back these theories up? Does he have these thoughts himself that he will now act on because the "times are'a changin'?"

So frustrating. Then he said he was confused by why I would not care about men being in the restroom since my profile picture showed I was in a "lesbian relationship." What? Is that a real thing? Back to square one.

I also agree with the PP that black lives matter and that it is a serious thing. Some of the protests have turned violent because nothing else has worked. I don't advocate violence but it makes me sad that I'm bringing two babies into a world that still discriminates by color.

Btw, I've been on the other side of this too. I used to be much more judgemental and racist against others. That sucks to come to terms with but I think it's part of the process of truly understanding this issue. I would argue till I was blue in the face that I was not a racist. I had this idea that if groups of black men with baggy pants and an urban look were milling around it meant trouble. That is just one example. I'm ashamed to say that but I'm choosing to share. Assuming negative traits to a racial group no matter how small is profiling and racist. I hope that people start to examine what is really going on in their thought process and take responsibility for their issues. Why would I automatically assume the worst of a group of people? What is behind that?

I can't stand people who want to dismiss the idea of BLM. I don't agree with violent protests, but that's not the point of the phrase or the movement. That is something individuals did because they're angry and it's an inappropriate response, yes. But the point of BLM is that they've been treated as if their lives DONT matter. So it's not saying that other lives don't matter, but that black lives matter too.

My mother is so against the BLM movement and, while she's not racist, it's because she doesn't fully understand because she's a white woman who grew up sheltered. I, however, am Hispanic and grew up being treated like I was less of a human for that. Like I didn't matter because of my last name. And we cannot talk about BLM anymore because we will never see eye to eye, and it frustrates me to no end. I want her to try and see the world from someone's else perspective for once.

I would say, I think you are in the wrong bathroom. I would think: hott!

I would have had no clue he was once a woman. I feel just a strongly about LGBT issues. Discrimination is absolutely unacceptable. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and equality.
