Electrical engineering...I picked it because it was hard and I wanted a challenge. In retrospect, there are so many other fields that better suit my talents, but I mostly like being an engineer.
I'm currently a data scientist so I use some of the skills I learned in my degree, but not a lot. Most of what I do is statistics, coding, and visualization, none of which I took a ton of classes in during undergrad.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. My current job is a Mental Health Professional so I absolutely had to have my degree to get this job.

I'm a dual major, biology specializing in marine biology and anthropology specializing in archaeology. I went in for the marine biology, but they never offered classes I needed so I worked on my anthro minor and turned it into a second major. By the time I was ready to graduate I had enough credits to earn both a BA and BS.
I work as a supervisor in a call center, so I like to say I use my anthro degree there, but that's up for debate haha.

Biblical Archaeology in undergrad, Biblical Exegesis for my Masters. I coordinate, edit, and typeset the research publications for an archaeological excavation in Israel, and I also do freelance editing for the academic sectors of a couple of Christian publishers, so yes, I'm using both! It's a fun field to be in.
Fine Arts (emphasis on Art History/film studies) - my college didn't have a core-curriculum so I took classes from all sorts of departments but ended up with more art than anything else so I chose that as my major. I have a huge problem making decisions so I kinda just let this one happen naturally. Loved my studio classes but art history/film studies made more sense.
I am a flight attendant so I don't use my major AT ALL. When I first graduated I worked for a wedding videography company and then a wedding planner so I was very much using my art/film background. I got burned out and decided to take a break and fly for a year or so to travel a bit. It's been almost 8 years since that "break" and I'm still flying. Can't imagine not working in the airline industry now. I've don't everything from operations to training to working on our uniforms. I'm kind of all over the place at my current company but I always end up back in the sky.
I have a BA in History and a masters in information systems and operations. I am in the Navy. I use the reading, writing, research and analysis aspects of my degrees, but that is about it.
I majored in accounting and I also got my master's degree in accountancy. I worked at a huge public accounting firm until I became a SAHM. I guess I still use it because I do our taxes, but that's really simplified compared to the tax returns I used to prepare for some companies.
Awesome Kid #1: Born September 2013! Awesome Kid #2: Due November 2016!
I did my undergrad in biology and biomedical physics. While the biomedical physics was technically a minor, I had done as many courses in physics as biology and was trying to convince the respective faculties to make it an awardable degree as my school didn't officially offer it as a major. I didn't actually finish because I got into my current program early, but I finished all the core requirements for my BSc except for one really annoying course that pretty much everyone considered useless so I left it until fourth year so that I could take more intense stuff. Since I didn't do that one course, I couldn't be awarded my degree early. I intend to return to finish my degree(s) even though I really do not need to. I'm annoyed that I left it unfinished.
I'm currently in medical school. I'll be awarded my MD in 2018 and I plan to pursue either family medicine, OB/Gyn or emergency medicine. Most likely family or OB, though.

I have my bachelors in psychology/special education. I did a dual certification program to get certified to teach elementary and special Ed. I do use it, I'm a special Ed teacher but this is my last year teaching. I'm leaving after this year to take over my husbands family business with him. It'll be nice because I can stay home for a while when the baby is here.
I have undergrad degrees in English Literature, Sociology, and Spanish. My graduate degrees are in Latin American Studies and Public Policy. I'm looking at going back for my PhD in Public Policy. Can you tell I love school?
I use a little bit from each degree in my work.

I have my undergrad in international affairs and my masters in national security. I also want to get my PhD eventually. I use my degrees at work to some extent. I'd like to use them more.
I have a BA in human biology. The "human" part actually means it was a split major between bio and anthropology. I had intended to teach middle or high school science, but as I was applying to grad schools/education certification programs I found out I was expecting my daughter. We thought about it and I decided I'd rather be a SAHM. I think I may go back and get certified and teach once my youngest kid is in elementary school. We shall see.
@phoenix870509 your degree sounds fascinating!! I never had the chance to take marine bio or archeology classes but I would've LOVED to.
Interior Architecture & Design. I'm working in a field that's pretty close and I use a good amount of the knowledge I gained, but not all of it.
My dream would be to open a small design studio and hand-pick my projects. This isn't that unrealistic; I am given similar opportunists all the time. I just can take them on, on top of my current job.

@muybueno I usually tell people to always watch your flight attendants. As long as they don't look worried or scared you have nothing to fear. We know every single feeling/noise/aspects of those airplanes... when something is different or weird we know it right away. Your FAs are your best gauge as to what is going on. You will rarely see us scared because there is rarely any reason to be.
In my almost 8 years of flying I have never once been scared. I've been startled and knocked around quite a bit, but I mostly end up laughing afterwards. I've been in plenty of stressful situations, but all our training kicks in and we can deal with it all. I've got stories galore of all sorts of crazy things- but at the end of the day I trust my pilots and I trust my airplanes... I'm more scared of the people onboard than of the actual flying- lol!

Yeah, watching the FAs is definitely part of my strategy. Once, we had some sudden turbulence and a flight attendant crouched down in the aisle. Can I just tell you how much that freaked me out? Turns out, she was brand new. The FAs were speaking Mandarin but I could tell they were making fun of her for overreacting.

I have a BA in history with a minor in psychology. I liked history in high school and wanted something I could build off from so it wouldn't be a complete waste of time. I was working on a BA in Paralegal studies but I got bored and realized that it wasn't for me. Now I'm a SAHM with 4 kids and 1 on the way. My oldest 2 are on the spectrum, my 2nd has vision issues that we see a specialist frequently for and my 3rd has speech problems, so between all their therapies and appointments I'm not sure how I'd fit in a job or school right now. Not using my degree for work, but the psych (early development and language) that I took really has helped have a better idea about what's going on with my kiddos.
I got my BS in medical technology/clinical laboratory science with a minor in history because why not. I currently work in a blood bank at a hospital so I use my degree every day.
(Hi everyone that might need Rhogam! Hopefully nobody here will need any of the other things we provide, but rest assured we take our OB floors very seriously and they are so on top of it.)
I have a BA in psychology and am currently working in hospital administration. I do payroll for nurses and stuff like that, which really has nothing to do with my degree. I'm hoping to get my Masters in Social Work so I may be contacting you @ShallowSeas
I was a double major. One was religion with a focus in ethics. That's the academic study of religion and how it informs human morality, not the study of religion to be religious. The other was law and society which is the study of law and it's sociological effects on and purpose in societies. I also have a law degree. I certainly use my education in my career. I'm a civil rights lawyer.
Started out in art school for painting, but transferred and got my bachelors in psychology with minors in visual art and education. Then after a minute when I though I wanted a masters in education (and to be certified for middle school social studies and elementary special ed), I re-evaluated and remembered that neuroscience was my favorite undergrad class, so ended up getting my masters in psychology with a concentration in biopsychology/neuroscience. I'm kind of all over the place. I work in neurology clinical trials, which I started during grad school, but what I do isn't totally related (the psychology helps when talking to patients/asking them if the drugs make them feel suicidal, and the neuroscience means I'm interested in what these drugs do to the brain, but I could have come to this job in a different way for sure).
I have a degree in music performance (french horn) with minors in Spanish and math. I work in fundraising now and I don't perform anymore, but I use a lot of what I learned in each area of study with my work. I kind of combined all of my interests and put them in my career. I can't really say much more without telling you exactly where I work and what I do. I'm scared of the creepy internet people.
I have a BS in Business and my MBA. I work in a marketing role, but have had to wear other hats from time to time that my Business background helped prepare me for. Even though my degrees are well suited for what I do at my job, the majority of my experience has been learning in the field, hands on. That leads me to think I could have been just as successful in my marketing roles without any educational background in it, especially because half of what I do is graphic design and website coding - both of which were self taught outside of school.
The MBA was more a point of personal pride rather than for any work-related purpose though. It was something I wanted to accomplish for myself knowing that in my husband's industry (he travels 6 months out of the year), once we started having kids I would probably be a SAHM until they went to school. I dropped down to very part time with my daughter, and once the twins come, I'll most likely not be going back to my job. I have toyed around with the idea of working from home utilizing my marketing skills, and if that ever happens, I would luckily have the background already to do my own accounting, etc from my degrees.
I have my BA in International Affairs, my BS in Geography and my MA in Military History. They're somewhat related to my profession and, better yet, they were fun classes!

My first undergrad I got a BA in anthropology (bio/forensic focus) with a minor in biology...and a concurrent diploma in forensic science. Lots of fun, not a at all useful in the real world.
My second undergrad I got my BScN and since I'm a nurse at a paediatric hospital, I definitely use this degree every day!
I got a BA in Sociology with a minor in History. I am a legal secretary. Nope, I do not use my degree at all. I used to feel unchallenged in this role but since I have a son it is nice that my brain doesn't have to function at its highest level some days. I work for a very family oriented firm so it is not so terrible when the daycare calls and I have to leave two days because my son has boogers and doesn't feel well.
