  • @aliciagoose sorry you've been so busy on break! I hope you can relax a bit over the next couple days.

@sarah0985 what are you going to bake? You've made me want to do some baking this weekend!

    CD: 21? See below

WAYDTGKU: the usual, nothing out of the norm. H has a doctor appointment Friday so I hope he gets some answers

R/R/CS: so I've been using the same digital OPK tests from my last cycle.  Not getting a smiley this time.  The only positive was on a cheapie last week.  I googled (ugh) and there were comments about it only showing a smiley if the surge was higher than the one before.  Any insight? I know I may not have O'd yet or drank too much water but just wondering if this test kit should have gone in the garbage after last cycle...

GTKY: What is your favorite physical quality about yourself? Conversely, if youhad to get some sort of plastic surgery, what would you choose?
I love my boobs. Love them.  I might not do plastic surgery but I do have a tooth that I don't love and I would get that fixed for sure!!!

R/R/CS: I feel a lot better than I did yesterday. Yesterday I cried a lot. I had to come to terms with not having a 2016 baby and moving into cycle 10.

GTKY: I love my butt and my back/shoulders. If I had to get plastic surgery, I'd bump my boobs up to a B cup. They are so small, like I can buy bras in the children's section small. AA cup haha. But it is nice for working out!

R/R/CS: so my thermometer I really don't think can be trusted. And people have been asking and i haven't  replied sorry!!.... It isn't a mabi its a home remedy I got it on Amazon. I "usually" o the day after I get an opk but I think due to a small temp dip this morning it will call today o day.  Hubs and I actually discussed not having sex last night as we were so tired and I always I O day after opk but we hio anyways and I'm glad we did if I didn't o until today!  If my temps go up tomorrow and thurs then we'll be at -1, -2, -3.  I can't physically do it again today not gonna happen so I hope today is O day haha

GTKY: What is your favorite physical quality about yourself? Conversely, if you had to get some sort of plastic surgery, what would you choose?  My legs I like but I hate my stomach, so tummy tuck! Would totally tummy tuck after kids if I could afford it but won't be able to

CD: 12 (I think I put the calendar date yesterday lol)

    WAYDTGKU: same as yesterday

R/R/CS: last night we missed our every other day schedule because I was just too exhausted. My parents came over for dinner which was great, but by the time they left and we got DS in bed it was almost 10... then I realized I hadn't been to the store to get the stuff I needed to make my dishes for our luncheon at work today plus I would still have to be cooking for about 2 hours. DH offered to go to the store but I told him no because I wasnt sure what all I needed, so he basically told me "no, you're not driving, its not safe. you're going on less than 2 hours sleep and you have to get up early tomorrow. I love you, go to bed." lol stupid DH being all sensible and crap so we went to bed and I was too exhausted to relax enough to go to sleep so he rubbed and scratched my back until I passed out :) He's too good to me far too often. We're getting ready to head into my FW so we both took the night to rest up ;)

GTKY: What is your favorite physical quality about yourself? Conversely, if you had to get some sort of plastic surgery, what would you choose? I love my eyes, nose and butt lol I would love to have lipo, an arm revision (even at my thinnest, my upper arms have always been big) and maybe a breast lift. Though if I ever lose weight they do tend to lift a bit... I've just always 'pointed' forward/slightly down. I've never been perky and pointing up lol
I'd never actually go through with any of it though. my gall bladder was my first non oral surgery (I was only numbed for that one anyway) and I was terrified. I'll pass on elective. I won't even get my belly button incision fixed where they stitched it with my skin folded. I'm just slowly stretching/massaging that side of my belly button so it relaxes back to where it should be.(before surgery, my belly button looked like an O now it looks like a D..... annoying)

(I have a nutritionist/personal trainer but I only really follow the low carb diet he has me on. The exercise routine...that's another story!) Can I pick your brain?? I'm curious about your experience with Femara! Is there a reason your OB/RE (not sure who you see) put you on that first and not Clomid? Are you PCOS or just annovulatory? I'm sorry for all the questions, just trying to get my ducks in a row with good questions for my RE appointment!

    WAYDTGKU: anything & everything

R/R/CS: Still no sign of O. :/  Thought for sure things were going that way this past weekend, but everything dried up by Sunday. This whole TTC process is hard enough, why does my stupid cycle have to be so damn irregular on top of it?? ... On a positive non-TTC note, I already have more monarch caterpillars this year than I did all of last year. (I raise butterflies) So stoked to be helping them bounce back!

GTKY: I like my hair. It's dirty blonde with natural highlights. I can just sit in the sun for a while and it gets lighter on its own. And it's a little wavy so I can style it both straight and beachy. B) I don't think I would ever actually get plastic surgery, but I guess I would like a boob lift/reduction. I'm a DD and these girls make running and jumping tough. I also agree with @sarah0985 about getting rid of the double chin too. Haha!

R/R/CS: It's kind of weird how similar my chart this month is to my last:

This month's temps are higher since I'm temping in the V instead of the mouth. Just hoping in 3 or 4 days I see a colossal drop followed by a colossal rise :)

GTKY: What is your favorite physical quality about yourself? Conversely, if you had to get some sort of plastic surgery, what would you choose? Eyes or butt. I was a little sad recently when I realized due to genetics that the chance of any child OH and I have would probably have brown eyes (I have blue) but he recently pointed out to me that his dad actually has green eyes not brown so I've been secretly like "yesssss there's some chance!" Not that I wouldn't love any child we have unrequitedly regardless of eye color!

I love my nose because it's very garden-gnomey/grandmotherly.  In a few decades, I'm going to have a great Mrs. Claus natural cosplay.
I personally wouldn't get plastic surgery, but if I absolutely had to, it would probably be a breast reduction.

R/R/CS: So DH's work schedule has been weird this week due to extra training. He usually works the night shift on rotating days but he has to do training during the day today and a physical test tomorrow morning. I thought this would be good because it gives us more nights to HIO leading up to O (which should happen this weekend ish). Last night we went to dinner and got some things we needed at the store and I said we could go home and have some fun *wink wink*. We settle in, put on a movie, and start getting frisky. 2 effing hours later and he hasn't finished! We've had several separate sessions because he keeps "running into a problem" and I'm doing everything I possibly can! I finally quit and he asks me "are you ok?" Really?!? No I'm not! I'm doing everything already and you can't even participate?! WTF?!? Idk what to do. I'm being very careful not to put extra pressure on him but we can't make a baby if you don't even try! And it really makes me mad that he acts like nothing is wrong last night and this morning...

GTKY: What is your favorite physical quality about yourself? Conversely, if you had to get some sort of plastic surgery, what would you choose?

  • @mrsdaddario So a bit of backstory. I went to my family doctor about some unfortunate rectal pain during AF back in January. I'd had twinges of this pain, but since going off BCP in October it had gotten worse each month. The nurse practitioner offered to send me to an ob/gyn. I live in a small town with only two. One, who has been practicing forever, and EVERYONE goes to, who I was trying to avoid because her receptionist is my boss' wife and I'm really close to the whole family and and that's just a little too close to comfort for my liking. The other is newer to the area, but I'd heard good things about. He's a bit older and Israeli and the thing I'd kept hearing about him is that he was very efficient and didn't waste any time. There was also an article in our local newspaper about this couple singing his praises about the fact that they'd been trying for 5 years, been to fancy infertility clinics in the city and nothing had happened and they'd quit trying to TTC because they were so discouraged and sick of medical appointments. And then she accompanied her pregnant sister to an appt with him and got to talking, he took her on as a patient and she had a baby a year later. So that was encouraging :).

So I went for my first appointment and he did an ultrasound on me and I think he was concerned about PCOS or endometriosis because of the pain, but he said everything looked good, but something must have made him think I wasn't ovulating because he sent me for a progesterone test on CD21 that month, and that test showed I was anovulatory, at least that month. So he literally didn't hesitate to put me on Femara (it's actually Letrozole, but I've been calling it Femara on here since everyone else seems to).

He never actually mentioned Clomid, but I don't actually hear of it that much around here (Ontario). But I don't have PCOS so maybe it made more sense to just have the Letrozole trigger ovulation? I'm not actually sure to be honest. But he's super no-nonsense and just seems to be doing what needs to be done and I like that. I'll find out more today about those follicles I guess.

    Hope that helps a little!

R/R/CS: Tried to talk to the H yesterday about our long-term plan. We decided to try an IUI for sure this summer, and every 6 months or so if it doesn't work we will try another. We decided to draw the line at IUIs until all debt is paid off. At that time we will pursue adoption and IVF concurrently. It stinks knowing we are so far from our goal of having babies (IUIs probably won't work we are told), but it is certainly good incentive to work hard on paying all our school loans down.
GTKY: What is your favorite physical quality about yourself? Conversely, if you had to get some sort of plastic surgery, what would you choose? I really like my eyes, they are just brown, but they are pretty large and I have super long, thick eyelashes. • I've been gone for a few days (work has been busy), but it feels like much longer! I'm glad to be posting again.

WAYDTGKU: HIO, OPKs, temping, the works

R/R/CS: my chart looks crazy lol. It's my first month temping, and I'm 100% sure I'm doing it wrong. Oh well.

GTKY: What is your favorite physical quality about yourself? Conversely, if you had to get some sort of plastic surgery, what would you choose? My eyes and legs! I'm tall and have nice legs lol. If I had to get plastic surgery...hmm a mommy makeover postpartum maybe lol. Ya'll would see me on Dr. Miami's snapchat  :D
  • @Steelerfan3878 That's so awesome that you raise butterflies!!! I would love to do that! Now that I have a house, I'm going to plant flowers and maybe next year after some planning make a butterfly garden.

    WAYDTGKU: the things

R/R/CS:  I'm still thinking I ovulated Monday but had a weird temp this morning. I woke up at 330 and my temp was high (post ovulation high) but I temp at 545, which wouldn't give me enough continuous sleep - so I went back to sleep and temped at the usual time and it was back down to my pre O temp range. I'm keeping the prettier temp at the odd time. It makes me feel better ;)

GTKY: What is your favorite physical quality about yourself? Conversely, if you had to get some sort of plastic surgery, what would you choose?

I like my eyes and overall skin color. My eyes have a nice shape with deep eyelids and are lightish blue with quite a bit of gold - but with the right colors, I can look really blue, greenish-teal, or gray. I like the versatility.  Skin wise, I'm super super pale, and I've worked hard to avoid sun damage. I'm a sunscreen queen ;)  I'm not a peachy- or pink-pale though - I'm yellow-pale with green veins which has allowed me to rock almost every hair color under the sun without looking too scary.  Later in life, I would get a boob lift. There's something about super saggy boobs that terrifies me. I dislike other parts of myself, but it's nothing that exercise and diet can't change for now.

  • @MelissaM090 Thank you for answering my questions! I'm glad to understand your situation a little better! I also hope the pain issue got sorted out. Right before I got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (cause one disease isn't enough apparently lol) I kept getting shooting pains in that area as well. I got/get them everywhere, but those seemed to be the most painful. So I know how uncomfortable pain there can be.

@Dilynne I think you're asking how FF can predict future fertile window when you haven't yet O'ed this cycle yet? This window will change on FF for you, accordingly when you get AF. Right now it's probably just guessing when AF will start, and then in turn guessing off of that cycle, when your FW will be next cycle. Since you don't have a lot of data to go off of yet, it can only predict. That's my guess! Not professional lol.
  • @sarah0985 Those all look amazing. I vote the reese's cookie cups!

@leekat14 I tried the CBDA for one cycle and hated them, because they were so confusing. Sorry I don't have more advice!

@mrsdaddario The visual of you driving clutching a "sample" to chest is pretty funny. But I'm glad that it all worked out and you and your DH were able to get the sample in! FX for good results.

@Megzb510 So glad you got some good recommendations and action items from your acupuncturist!

@MelissaM090 Have a nice and relaxing time at your massage/acupuncture appointment!

@FrancesGrace630 So sorry about CD1&2. I had a really hard time at the start of this cycle when I realized that I would be missing 2016 as well. Big hugs to you.

@Steelerfan3878 That's so cool that you raise butterflies. So interesting! I always wish I knew you guys in real life because I want to see them! haha

@TheJerilu haha Mrs. Claus natural cosplay! That's hilarious.

    @sammajane19 FX for nice follies!

@becbec28 Are we the same person? Almost the same situation happened with my H last night. Didn't mention on my post because I'm trying not to dwell on it too much because I was upset. Sorry you're going through that. Hopefully he gets his stuff together soon so you guys can stay on schedule.
