We just have a few things to add, then will be all done! The room is a bit more blue in real life. It's looking so green in these photos!
So cute! It's very "farmhouse nursery"! Where did you get your changing table pad?
Thanks! It's from a store in Canada called Hello Baby, but it's by Keekaroo. It's called the "peanut". They are AMAZING because they are antibacterial and liquid can't penetrate through... So they are super soft and don't need a change pad! Just wipe them clean with wipes and you're good to go!
I am so jealous of all of you . We are so behind too! I put the grandmas to work today! (Honestly though, they are painting perfections and gave me menial tasks..."can you go wash these rags?". They even redid my taping! ). They just did the priming
I shouldn't have opened this thread. I will have this baby in about 3.5 weeks and we're still doing renovations. I probably won't do her nursery until after she's born. Ugh but it's out of my control at this point. I do have everything ready to go when the time comes. Here is some decor for the collage on the wall. Her colors are mint and peach with gold accents. I can't wait to do the room! (The blank frame will have a picture of DD#1 with her new sister after she arrives. Per DD#1's request)

Love your color scheme @cortney626! I just did DD's big girl room (she's almost 2.5) with coral, navy, and gold accents. Your LO's nursery will be worth the wait
We are almost done! Have most everything together to just have to finish organizing the closet, and putting baby laundry away Getting so excited! The nursery coming together really makes it all feel so real
I feel so far behind when I look at all the beautiful nurseries you ladies have put together. I just barely got the crib and wall art delivered yesterday, and I put the crib together all by myself! I am at least proud of that accomplishment. Once the mattress and glider are finally here I'll start to put the room together the way I really want it (:
We're having our baby in our room until we move in Sept (for convenience and also we have a massive room, so there's lots of space for her stuff) - but I felt we should totally put up some sort of decoration for her corner of the room to distinguish it, so we decided to paint it (over temporary wallpaper, ah rentals ...). Here's what that corner looks like now:
Ignore the mess - I am attempting to figure out this hospital bag business ...
We are so close to being done. We have to hang artwork/pictures still, but everything else is ready to go. Also, how amazing is our changing table!? My Dad made it for us and I am so excited to use it throughout our sons childhood and then pass it on. It's by far my favorite piece of furniture!
so jealous of all these beautiful rooms that are done! we are behind schedule too, well, as far as I'm concerned, my hb, however, thinks he's making great progress. it was a complete gut though, tore everything out down to the studs, and I did insist on custom planked ceiling and wainscotting, but he has a ways to go still. at least the baby cam is operational.. and now I can check on progress from the couch! in the meantime my dining room looks like a nursery explosion...
@ncm0328: weird question but do you remember where you got your curtain rod?
Haha yes, I do, and it's not a weird question, but I've got a weird answer lol. I hate spending money on curtain rods, and I hate vertical blinds but can't do much about them since we rent....so I got a white closet rod from Home Depot and cut it at the store with the measurements for the window. I got the brackets, painted them white, and had DH cut out little divets for the rod to fit into. I did see that they had some brackets that would fit the size of the white curtain rod, but they didn't come out far enough from the wall for our purpose. We actually used curtain rods and brackets throughout the whole house, cost us about $50 in all lol. So anyway, to answer your question, I got it at Home Depot in the lumber department lol.
Looks like I won't be posting our finished nursery until the May thread. I just got an email that the light fixture we ordered is even further backordered than they previously said - May 5th. Ugh.
Anyone know of any good alternatives to this? I don't want a traditional princess looking chandelier. The white shabby-chic look of this fits what I'm going for in the nursery.
Everyone's nurseries look so good! I thought I would share a photo of the finished product! At this point, we're just debating the possibility of a different window covering. My mom pulled hell and high water to find a Target that had that chair in stock (after I was told by location after location and an online supervisor it was sold out), and H made the trip this morning to pick it up. The rug was a spur of the moment find this afternoon and the frames are on the wall. Bear is ready to go, too.
I've got a bit more done since I last shared with you all. My favorite thing is the gutter bookshelves and her library. DH is an elem school principal and all his teachers bought him/ LO a book. I'd like to get another panel of these curtains. I thought the package had two but apparently I can't read. I also need to hang something next to the "E" above the changing table. I reached out to my sister today to see if she'll whip up something on canvas for us. I'm also debating the cost of a small round rug. So everything left is purely cosmetic and not a big deal. Basically we're done. Which feels really good.
You guys are all so creative! Love all the nurseries! Mine is almost done. Don't know if my changing table and glider will arrive on time but as of now this is what it looks like
I'm almost ready to take some pictures and share! Wondering if anyone has suggestions for table top type nursery decor that is/will be useful, like toys for future. I just got the Haba Bonita garden stacking peg you which is perfect but need a few more things!
Our nursery is 99% finished! I crafted a few things (his name on the wall and the ninja sign) and my cousin had her little boy made the ninja turtle hand prints. I love it!
Finally finished! The room is tiny so my best bet was panorama, but now I'm seeing that my phone's camera is pretty much crap... oh well! The colors are a little brighter and there are some yellow accents hiding in there somewhere! Don't mind my ottoman with the boppy... there is nowhere to put the ottoman and I can't decide where its gonna go.
Finally got the crib and some clothes washed and hung as well as decorations ready. Hoping to get the rest of the furniture in a week and a half. Itching to hang up what we can but we need to be sure of the furniture configuration as it is a small room.
Edited to add guard dog #2.... And a hint of the remaining mess.
DH just went to Home Depot to get stuff so he can put in the wood floor which should be done by tomorrow. SIL is coming tomorrow to help put the furniture together. The wall decal should be here this week and I just ordered some images from Etsy I need to print and get framed for the wall. Yay!
We finally put the last touches on ours too! We are getting super anxious for his arrival. Every BH and painful pressure is driving me nuts.
I made the prints out of these digital drawings of "D&D Floofs" that I saw on Reddit a while back. Perfect way to incorporate a little RPG nerdiness and cats... We love them. Credit to the artist here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/rXNWe
We're finally done! Finishing touches completed this weekend. Our Best Man was killed in a cycling accident last June. He was a very talented photographer and we wanted to have a small piece of him in the nursery watching over baby. The lighthouse picture above the change table is a photo he took and I love that we were able to incorporate his adventurous spirit into the room. I love the way it all came together. Now it just needs a baby!
I have to vent my frustrations!! The nursery has been ALMOST done for several weeks... everything except the wall decor. I was going to get things going about two weeks ago on 4/11 and DH was being cryptic and said "let's just wait a few days"... That Friday 4/15 his coworkers threw us a baby shower and one of his coworkers said she'd be making us decor for the nursery (which she had told DH, which is why he was being cryptic). Of course I was super excited and grateful in person, and I still am - it really is a wonderful gesture and thought, but I am also a little skeptical because literally the first time I met her was that day, DH doesn't know her that well either. BUT she says this is a like a thing she's done for a lot of people, and DH even showed her the items from Pottery Barn Kids I had been interested in, and our nursery pics and etc. So I figured I would give it a go, and if it was amazing then AMAZING, and if not, we'd probably put them up... take a pic to show her... and then take it all down and put up the real decorations LOL. Now you would THINK she would have had them ready for the baby shower on 4/15 but she didn't... but she said she'd finish working on them that weekend. Well the next week she told DH she was still working... now it's another week later. I told DH that I'm giving until the end of this week to have the decorations in my hands or I'm going forward with decorating myself. I am only 36 weeks but JEESH what if I go into labor tomorrow!! And all the intense hard work to get that nursery done well ahead of time for my sanity would be for naught.
We started and finished the nursery in one day! So happy with how it came out. (Crib bumpers are for decoration right now. I'll remove them when she goes into her crib and I'll put them back when she's older).
