Re: GTKY- What will be your first post-pregnancy meal that you couldn't have while pregnant?
I'm not 100% super strict (I'll have canned tuna once a week, etc) but I won't do raw fish or unwarmed deli meats. It's just not worth the worry. I will, however, have a nice, delicious medium rare steak from a nice steakhouse, with bernaise sauce, which I'm pretty sure has raw (or just slightly cooked) egg in it. mmmmmmm

I eat sushi, deli meat and I'm making medium rare steak for dinner tonight. Not too many restrictions this time but I will pack a split of Veuve Clicquot for after delivery. I can't wait!

It's especially hard because the reason I am a vegetarian is I think meat tastes gross, and some secondary "animals are treated crappy" feelings. But the primary reason is food aversion issues. Which have only worsened with pregnancy. Blech.

I've been way less restrictive with what I'm eating this pregnancy, which mostly means I've allowed myself plenty of deli meat and soft cooked eggs. But with the food aversions, there are plenty of things I miss enjoying that now just make me want to gag. I'm looking forward to eating pretty much any normal meal... with a beer.
Other than that, I have not been restrictive at all in food other than moderation and trying to be healthy. My biggest craving this pregnancy is sushi, so I eat it at least once a week, but I do try to get variations of a cali roll, although if it's from a good place, I'll go spicy tuna. I guess you could say I'm craving a full on rainbow roll or sashimi though.
I eat deli meat quite a bit too and have never heated it up. Both of my OBs (I had a different one for my first pregnancy) specifically crossed that off on their 'avoid' list because they said it was outdated and pointless.
