  • I'm with you @noelietrex. That happens here at my work sometimes and it's so disruptive for the rest of us!

  • haha @PugsandKisses I think having those threads have saved us from a lot of clutter on the board that we can't even fathom. Even if we do still get the occasional snowflake post.

If we make it a weekly thing, I'd see the correlation ;).

But the Master due date list has the sex of the child in it.

How many more people are going to find out now. The end of July is 24 weeks this week.

Plus, newbies and lurkers don't even use them.
    Thank God for Raid.

  • I haven't done the GD test yet, and I'm not going to ever do it.
  • Haha no, not because of the drink. I just don't have the time or energy. My midwife said a huge percentage of her clients don't do it. She's not concerned. One less thing to stress about. And if I get back false results I would be so pissed. Just not worth it to me.
I do understand this is a UO!

I don't know if this is "unpopular" but along the "major disservice" lines...

We should not make HUGE exceptions for these kids for no apparent reason other than you (the parent) are just unhappy with how things turned out. (Warning: this example is somewhat of a vent.) Your kid was failing all year and managed to scrape by with a D first AND second quarter. Now magically this quarter she had an A...UNTIL she and her partner didn't finish their project. (Please know that they had MORE than enough time to get it done, AND help. AND it was basically graded for completion.) So now that she has a B (a high B at that) you're upset. I get it, but it's not fair to think you can bully me into changing it or letting her finish when none of the other kids are getting such an exception. The exception was when I extended the deadline...TWICE. AND, come on, a B is still a major improvement.

What kind of adult do you think you're preparing her to be???

But this mom probably won't even mind that her daughter won't be self-sufficient in the least.

  • Even though the GD test sounds gross I can't wait to get it over with. I'm doing mine on Sunday and bringing a relaxing book to read while I wait. I also don't see how it's stressful. I'm really busy too (aren't we all?) and I'm making it work. If I couldn't do it on a weekend I'm sure I would schedule an appt first thing in the AM and avoid the morning traffic.

  • @noelietrex I wish my doctors office did that. I'm thankful that the hospital I go to has a walk in for all the blood work I've needed to get done.

  • Nope @noelietrex mine was the same way. Drank it at home, showed up for my regularly scheduled appointment and got my blood drawn before hand. Simple.
